This place is a mainstay and a comfort. Great apps (arancini, ribs, pizzas, etc.) cocktails, wine, etc. I like their brunch, lunch, and dinner. I just like it all. The staff is the best, always smiling and extremely courteous. I will admit that I avoided this place at first because I was upset that they took over after Mumbles (the original bar here) closed in 2017 or 2018 after the huge snowstorm we had. But I got over it and now this has been one of my regular spots for years. read more

This is one of our regular places. The food is fantastic and the service is very friendly and attentive. Nice laid back ambiance, but It can get very crowded and noisy at times, so I recommend going early if you like quiet. And definitely make a reservation. I don't have any complaints, but it definitely could've used a little bit more flavor; others in our party got other pasta dishes, as well as the burger and everyone was satisfied, but no one was wowed. Loved my recent dinner at Follia. I had a "Create your own" type of cocktail and enjoyed it. My friend had a zero-proof drink/mocktail and enjoyed it as well. For dinner, we decided to share a couple of things: we had the New York Style pizza (Mozzarella, parmigiano, tomato sauce, calabrian chili flakes, oregano, garlic) and the grilled Atlantic salmon. For the salmon we subbed out the asparagus for broccoli rabe. Before our entrees came, they also brought out a delicious foccacia for the table. I know filling up on bread before pizza is probably unnecessary but this bread was so good that I couldn't resist. The pizza was delicious! I'd love to go back and try their others, especially the honey pie. The salmon was very tasty. Our server was very personable and helpful - my friend and I had a couple of questions about the menu before we ordered and she was great and very patient. We were seated at one of the high top tables - the tables are a little bit close together but it wasn't a huge deal. At one point my friend was able to move back a little (no one was sitting behind her) so we could move the table slightly forward and I could avoid feeling like I was head-to-head with the person sitting behind me. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Very accommodating as well. The restaurant itself is cute, there's indoor and outdoor seating which is nice in the warmer weather. Fries and eggplant caponata were good. Eggplant was REALLY REALLY good. I'm not sure why it wasn't served with bread or anything, outside of the complimentary bread they give you. So ask for more! The pizza looks great but it was painfully underwhelming. Not much flavor. A let down. Overall it was alright. Aside from bottomless brunch, we noticed that the prices of each of the food items were cheaper compared to many places in the city! ft: -brioche french toast: this was our favorite! it had the best fluffy texture, and the bananas on top were a great match. delicious. -eggs benedict: eggs were runny and the english muffin was toasted correctly. i loved it! -cobb salad: the first thing i noticed is that the dressing added the perfect amount of extra flavor and didn't go overboard. i loved the combination of ingredients in the salad. -crostini: came with 3: 1) burrata, olive oil and salt 2) whipped ricotta pesto 3)mascarpone and clover honey. each were slightly different from each other, and all tasted amazingly. i definitely liked the mascarpone and clover honey. it's such a simply dish yet so delicious. Follia is an intimate spot in Gramercy. I came by with a party of 6. We started off with drinks and apps - truffle polenta and crostini. Then we ordered the shaved Brussels salad, truffle fries, two pizzas - the pesto and hot honey - as well as the eggplant parm and cacio e Pepe. My favorite was the eggplant part and truffle polenta. If I were rating on food alone, I'd probably go with three stars - it's fine, nothing especially noteworthy in either direction. The burrata crostini was okay, but honestly tasted like something I could easily make at home. My spaghetti dish was nice, with al dente spaghetti and a pretty good sauce. But Follia gets an extra star because the prices are pretty darn competitive, the service was great, and the space is really nice. The menu is a good $5-10 less per entree than what I've seen at similar restaurants. we had a reservation for a sunday early evening and we were sat immediately inside. there's also plenty of outdoor seating but it was too warm that day to sit outside. we ordered cocktails, my favorite was the create your own. we ordered meatballs, the cheese board, marinated olives, margherita pizza, orecchiette with pesto & broc rabe without sausage, and spaghetti pomodoro. the food & drinks were delicious, however, the lower rating was due to the service. our waitress was handling almost all the inside tables & outdoor. she barely came to check on us & we had to find her down to order dessert & the check. unfortunately we had to have the hostess help us when our waitress couldn't. it wasn't exceptionally busy so maybe they just didn't have enough staff in that day. we're usually understanding people but we wasted a lot of time waiting for service. read more

Meatballs: A great comfort food to start with as an appetizer. Dense, meaty and full of flavor. Also, lots of nice marinara sauce to go along with this. Arancini: Crispy on the outside with lots of cheesy rice inside. Another great way to whet your appetite. Almost didn't even need the marinara dipping sauce. Cacio e Pepe: The simple flavors were there. Salty and umami cheese. Freshly ground pungent black pepper. Though the choice of regular old spaghetti felt a little common compared to a more exotic bucatini choice that other places offer. While the cheese was indeed sticking the pasta, it didn't quite feel emulsified, maybe because they used large shreds? Orecchiette: Very green looking, but didn't taste too herbal. I've had much better meals....our order of cacio e pepe pasta was basically plain spaghetti with a sprinkle of pepper. It was dryer than the Sahara. No sauce in sight. It was just the worst pasta we've ever seen. How can you serve this at a restaurant? My baby sister could make better pasta than that. Excellent brunch at Follia today! My wife and I met my daughter in her Manhattan neighborhood and had a chance to dine here. On a rainy Saturday, a week before Christmas, this was a cozy spot to eat, with a great brunch menu. We started off with a few drinks and a crostini appetizer. I really liked the pesto with whipped ricotta one. For entrees, my daughter and I each ordered the mushroom omelette, my wife ordered the brioche French toast with bananas. I also ordered one of the large biscuits with jam. Everything was well prepared and tasted delicious! If you're around Gramercy or Union Square, I'd definitely recommend giving Follia a try! What a hidden gem!! Been meaning to check out Follia since its only a couple blocks from us, so we stopped by for a Friday happy hour. There's ample outdoor seating and it wasn't crowded. Happy hour is 3-6pm and there are great specials. Dollar oysters! $3 meatballs! $10 pizzas! $8 cocktails! The oysters are fresh and delicious. I had a dozen, but will get more next time. So tasty! We tried three pizzas: margherita, mushroom, and pesto. The pizzas had a perfectly light and chewy crust. The mushroom was my favorite out of the three, with an ample amount of mushrooms and cheesiness. The meatballs were pretty good, but I'll try some other items instead, like arancini and ribs, next time. Follia is now my go-to neighborhood happy hour spot. We got the burrata salad, which comes with arugula, squash, and roasted red bell peppers. This was refreshing and the flavors were great together. The piece of burrata was just a bit smaller than expected, so we wish that could've been a bit bigger. For entrees, we shared the butternut squash ravioli and roasted chicken with potatoes. The ravioli was amazing! I've had butternut squash ravioli before at other places but this is definitely the best one so far. There were pieces of roasted brussel sprouts and butternut squash on top. The chicken was flavorful and not dry with crispy skin. The potatoes were seasoned well and there was a generous amount. In the future, we'll be back to try the hot honey pizza. read more
