I took my friend here from England. she loves a big American breakfast. The cafe was lovely as we entered. Beautiful outdoor seating . A homey feel inside, like you were dining in a private home. She loved the fancy table settings and cottage like feel of the place. We splurged and got the mimosas. They were great. But there was only one server for a busy crowd. We had to wait to order, to get our mimosas and our food. I'm paying and this breakfast will easily exceed 100.00. Next, we ordered two Northwest lox Benedicts. I wanted her to try our salmon. She liked it and the garlic potatoes it comes with. Really, enjoyed the uniqueness of this spot more than the food. Was looking for a unique experience and this place delivered. The food was good. Love it! Low key Northwest style cuisine in a cute little house with multiple dining rooms and a stand-up bar. The food is great and the service too! My third time for breakfast. First time I found it cute and a fun setup in an old house. Rooms broken up into eating areas. Second time I'm thinking still fun but the noise level hit me. Today...was seated in a room towards the back on the right. A smallish room with three tables for 2 and 2 tables for 4. If you're noise sensitive this is not the place for you...however I've only been there for breakfast. Small space between tables. We were seated promptly and menus in hand. The food delivery was slowish...the place was busy. Like their mashed potato patties. For folks with any mobile issues...there are some steep steps to go up. This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots! It's a very cute venue, looks like someone's house, but you walk up and it's this great brunch spot. It definitely makes the place feel very homey! The food is also amazing, highly recommend the cinnamon rolls! They're huge so you can get one to share! My favorite thing is that all the tables, chairs, mugs, nothing matches! It's all a hodgepodge of different styles, which makes it feel even more like your grandmother's house. The bartender boxed mine up along with extra icing for an extra dollar. I split it with my partner when I got home, plenty for two people. I had breakfast in a bedroom with four tables, so it gets kind of cramped -- a lot of ass in your face, overheard conversation, wood floors that have been sinking in since the late 70s. Had this draft sitting around for a long while, and now that I moved away from Seattle I find myself missing rainy weekends with breakfast at Wild Mountain. It's a cottage-style home that has been converted into a restaurant, fully equipped with a front yard/patio waiting area and mismatched tables and decor, just like your grandma's house. Menu is pretty extensive, including breakfast (with alcohol), lunch, and dinner and a teeny bit pricey but worth the consistency between visits and amazing service. They will make you feel like you live next door and come here every weekend, even if it's your first time. MUST TRY: Potato cakes! Garlicky herby goodness. Eggs Benedict! Their hollandaise is my favorite. Tower of power if you're somewhat health conscious. Lots of veggies. Awesome neighborhood brunch spot! This place is located in a house that has been converted from a home into a multi-room restaurant. My friend and I had plans to eat down the street but they didn't accept her bringing her baby with her so we were excited to find this place! What a perfect replacement! They sat us in the back room where we realized they put all the folks with babies (smart!) And you couldn't hear the kids by the time you stepped across the threshold where the restrooms were. Between the music in the front bar area, and the bustle of the kitchen they have figured out a way to keep everyone happy! When we moved into the neighborhood, I happened by it; then again, and again, until finally, I remembered to suggest it when my sister wanted to take me out for a Mother's Day brunch. From breakfast burritos, migas and cinnamon rolls, to Benedicts, scrambles, mac & cheese, waffles and pancakes, to French toast and garlic potato cakes. "We make your order from scratch so let us know if you have dietary restrictions! We can omit the dairy, go gluten free or make many other alterations for you. We will bend over backwards to create something you can enjoy! All you have to do is ask us!" Ambiance: "Wild Mountain Cafe was opened in 2002 by owner/operator, Connie Stone to offer a friendly, casual, neighborhood restaurant in Crown Hill." Inside this neighborhood home-cum-restaurant, welcomes patrons into its bright, yellow rooms, complete with mismatched furniture, a fireplace, and coffee maker! Just try it! For me, the Eggs Benedict ($13.75): this is what we're known for! an English muffin topped with poached eggs*, Canadian bacon & our made-from-scratch Hollandaise! Comes with one of our famous roasted garlic potato cakes & a cup of chopped fresh fruit. What I loved: The garlic potato cakes. And, the weirdly delicious Vince! What? What I loved most about this place was the ambiance. I know Seattle has some cool homes, and this is one of them, which also made me feel transported back home (east coast). So, hike up those stairs and grab a table in one of the rooms of the home. Then get served your $$ brunch (or dinner I think they said they also serve) from a very hospitable and likely tattooed woman. I had the avocado benedict (B.A.T., $15.75), and it was... decent. Not as good as I had hoped; something tasted off, soured, but I still ate it. The potato pancake that came with was stellar, however, and needed no ketchup. The fruit cup was good -- fresh, tasty. The Wild Mountain café is a quaint hipster restaurant found in the North Shore area of Seattle. Make sure you view the picture on Yelp and use your GPS to find the location. The restaurant looks like a house on the outside with bushes and greenery covering you may walk pass it not realizing it's a restaurant. It's a large house with one side for dining alone and the other side has a full bar with some dining as well. When I entered I was almost immediately greeted however I had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated because it is a small restaurant. Once seated I placed my order within 5 minutes, it did take a significant amount of time for us to receive our food and for the server to check on us. During the early morning hours there are breakfast and drink specials, after 9 AM the prices go up slightly. I ordered the French toast slam and coffee which I really enjoyed but the French toast was cold. This seems like a fun spot for the locals not something I would go out of my way to do as a tourist. read more

HOLY WOW!!!! We moved to the neighborhood about 9 months ago and weren't overly wow'd by the restaurants within walking distance so decided to give Wild Mountain a try. They did NOT disappoint. Da Bomb B'Fast burrito was solid. The beans were flavorful which was refreshing. The French Toast Slam was SOO good. Do not pass this up!! The French toast was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the bacon was INCREDIBLE and phenomenally crispy. 1000000/10 The potato cakes were everything I wanted and more. I anticipated a latke type situation and instead I got an unbeatable potato cake of glory! The potato cakes were PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked to perfection with a crispy outside and garlic-mashed-potato-like soft inside. The manmosa was phenomenal and the champagne was tasty. 100/10. The service was solid and their outdoor seating is VERY cute. I low key wish that the outdoor heaters were turned on since a windy Sunday in late September was way more chilly than I would have preferred but with the pandemic, I won't eat indoors. Another poster mentioned COVID safety indoors and I would agree that the tables are closer together than I would be comfortable with but since they offer outdoor dining, this was a non issue for us. Overall, highly recommend. If you're looking for a solid bfast place in the area, run, do not walk, to Wild Mountain. We'll be back for SURE! read more

One of the best breakfast spots I've tried in Seattle for quality of food and pricing! This restuarant is super quirky, definitely not a place I would normally think to try just based off of its appearance. The main downfall is I'm not sure I would consider this restaurant very covid friendly. I know they have an outdoor patio, but I didn't get to check it out when I came in. The indoor seating area is pretty crowded, I didn't feel there was enough space between the tables. The wait time for us was pretty brief on a busy Sunday afternoon, but that was only because they couldn't find the other people who were ahead of us on the list. There only seemed to be a couple servers who were very friendly, but were clearly overwhelmed by the crowd. They have a huge menu with breakfast and lunch options - it was so hard to decide what to get. I ended up trying the veggie eggs Benedict and a tomato basil Bloody Mary. Both were incredible. I was sad when I finished my food because I wanted more! I'd love to come back to this place, but I will make sure to come on a nice day that I can sit outside. read more

I had the Joe Schmo with bacon. The bacon was just exactly how I love it. Crispy, but meaty, cooked to perfection bacon. Mmmmm! I ordered my eggs over-medium and to my delight, they were served perfectly over-medium! The lightly-garlicky potato cakes were too good to not finish every last bite, and even the multigrain toast was toasted just the way i like it. My friend ordered the NW Benedict- it's her go-to favorite here. She enjoyed every bite and her only comment was that next time she would ask for a darker toast on the English muffin. So- go here!
