Northwest Lox Benedict -- asked for my béarnaise sauce on the side.
Mar K.

Eggs Benedict with Lox remains my favorite but there's hardly an egg dish there that I have not found delicious and worth eating. Service is attentive and coffee refilled in timely manner and the warmed cinnamon bun might be to die for. Cost home interior with tables and chairs that feel like a comfortable dining room. But be prepared for the wait on weekends.

Coming from the Eastside looking for great breakfast haunts across the bridge. Picked Wild Mountain from some recommendations from a Seattle foodie group. I'd give the ambiance an A, and the food a solid B/B+. Cute venue in an older style home, with some obvious pride in their offerings. I don't think there is anything unique about their menu, but a great variety of standards, and what they do, they do very well. Their cinnamon rolls are phenomenal! Hot, with a well balanced icing and a good fresh yeast and spice. 10/10. The eggs Benedict, I would say, was very consistent. Perfectly poached eggs and scratch-made Hollandaise. But thin Canadian bacon, on a Bays muffin, and the Hollandaise had no lemon (personal preference). Fruit cup was great, but the potato cake was not at all creamy and was loaded with garlic. I would go again if I was in the area, but wouldn't cross the bridge for it. Like I say - a very solid breakfast joint. Service was exceptional, and very attentive.

Really lovely servers! They also are responsive to messages and responded right away to let me know that dogs are allowed in the patio. We sat there at their little table, and it was partially shaded and fully covered. They have a cute little dog bowl as well. The food was good and they have a decent sized breakfast menu. Plenty of vegetarian options and a handful of vegan and GF options.

Heavy, stick to your bones brunch fare in a Homey, family oriented interior. Gluten-Free eggs benedict ($17.25) - I got these because they were served on the garlic potato cakes - omg, these are like crack. If they don't come with your entree, get one on the side. Eggs perfectly poached with a rich, buttery hollandaise. I don't like Canadian Bacon so that was okay. The homemade cinnamon roll was phenomenal ($6.75). Get it. Warm, fluffy dough with delicious cinammon flavor and gooey cream cheese icing. BF got the La Cabana ($16.75), I tried a bite and it was okay. Warm, inviting staff. If you come for brunch on a weekend you will likely have to wait.

This cute brunch spot is all about the comfy cozy vibes. It's a historic mountain house-turned-cafe, so dining here was a super unique experience. My friend and I dropped by during the long weekend so there was a decent wait (~30 min). We ordered the Veggie Bennie and the Pimento grilled cheese (from the seasonal specials menu). The grilled cheese was great, but the Eggs Benedict wasn't particularly memorable and was a little bland for my liking. The garlic mashed potato cake that it comes with, however, was flavorful and creamy!

Cure All Mac N Chz

My friends took me here while I was visiting Seattle and I enjoyed it quite a bit. They were busy but we got a table immediately, and the wait wasn't long at all. Our server was super friendly and personable and always made sure our waters were topped off. The food was fantastic! I got the Cure All Mac and Chz with bacon and mushrooms and it was so so good. It was also a huge portion so I had lunch for the next day, which was great for me since I was travelling that day and didn't have time to go out for food. I also got one of the baked treats that was a special that day, and it was also delicious. The overall vibe of the restaurant was cozy and comfy. It felt like a cage that you would go to in the mountains, it felt very much like a cabin in the woods that has the best food you've ever had. I will definitely be going back.

Cinnamon roll

TLDR: the carb options were the best part of this meal, egg dishes not as memorable. Potato cakes and cinnamon roll were particularly excellent! The potato cakes are basically flat topped garlicky mashed potatoes, and the cinnamon roll was soft and served warm. I also loved how they had house made strawberry jam for your toast option! Each had a unique twist to it and we were very happy about what we ordered! For egg dishes we tried the kitchen sink scramble which was nothing special, as well as the cabana. It's basically a Mexican breakfast casserole. There were 4 parties ahead of us on a Sunday at noon, but the tables turned over relatively quickly.

Piggy Patty Pile

This place is adorable. A converted craftsman home into a breakfast spot. There is two set of stairs to get to this place with a small table for outdoor dining. All parties need to be present to be seated. It gets crowded but you are able to get seated fairly fast. We sat at a two top in the bar and enjoyed the Piggy Patty Pile French toast and Greta Garbo with two seasonal alcoholic beverages. Greta Garbo is their gluten free Benedict and so delicious I didn't leave anything on the plate. Service was attentive and kind. Would for sure come back to check out their other menu items. Tips: would be great for earlier before the crush but they move tables quickly. Stairs would be an issue for accessibility folks and they have street parking :)

Breakfast burrito

We were hungry and wanted something quick to eat and so we decided on this place...well we definitely did not get our quickness as our food took really long time. We ordered take out and got the southern breakfast burrito. The burrito was fine, it came with a lot of eggs and some chicken sausage and cheese and chiles. It also come with a side of refried beans, sour cream and salsa. The burrito and bean was definitely on the bland side as well. It definitely needed salt. I had to use all the salsa to get some flavor in it. However, for it being around $16, I kinda expected more because it was a very simple burrito with pretty standard tasting.

Cinnamon roll ($6.75)

Came here for brunch Saturday morning (If you come early enough, they have early bird specials before 9am FYI) We got a cinnamon roll to start and ordered a couple of breakfast entrees. The cinnamon roll is fantastic! Highly recommend. B.A.T. Bennie - this is a Benedict with bacon, avocado and tomato. The bennies come with a single garlic mashed potato cake and a side of fruit (kind of wish they'd come with two potato cakes like their other entrees, but oh well). The hollandaise sauce is on the lemony side if you like that. The bacon was good. Egg yolk was pretty runny (I asked for it to be cooked medium, they said they are all cooked medium - so was surprised by the runniness since I saw some review complain about the yolks being too hard). Biggest complaint with this was the quality of avocado used. One Benny had completely brown avocado, some of the pieces were bordering black and I had to pick it off. The other Benny was on the brown side but I ate it anyway. I would think they would inspect the avocado being used but I guess not. La Cabana - this is the baked breakfast casserole served weekends only. It was pretty tasty, but unfortunately it was served lukewarm and on the cold side. We asked for it to be reheated again which they accommodated, but it was still not very hot. The como bread is a great toast option! Overall, I think the menu is pretty epic with tons of options I'd like to try, and the cinnamon rolls are super yummy, but the brunch entrees seem to be hit or miss with quality control and execution which I was a bit disappointed with.

starting off, i was pleasantly surprised by the portion of sourdough bread given prior to the meal…read more- as I wasn't expecting that the bread wasn't anything special - but i did like the outside; found it to be pretty crispy. also, i liked the fact that they gave you butter as a dip, although it wasn't easy to spread it on the sourdough as it was just one big block i thought the main part of this dish, the salmon sliders, were quite good, however this came in three separate 'sliders', each with a base of rosemary bread, a sliced tomato, and a portion of salmon, topped with pesto the actual salmon itself was ok - personally i thought it was a bit stringy and chewy, but otherwise not bad. being brushed with oil certainly helped with the taste however, the other aspects of the slider were fantastic normally, i don't like tomatoes, but it fit really well with this dish. the flavor was there but not overpowering i also quite liked the pesto as a condiment - there was a solid amount on there - and it added a nutty texture that was good the best part of these sliders, however, was the rosemary bread. this was exquisitely good - it was crispy, herby, buttery, and served as an incredible base for the sandwich as a whole. i absolutely loved every bite of this the other thing that was a great touch was placing the sliders on the bottom of the bread rather than the 'more fluffy' side. this ensured that the bread wouldn't get soggy from the tomato/salmon and had it retain its crunchiness to the maximum three sliders was also a pretty good portion size another thing i enjoyed was the salad. a lot of places think that lots of dressing, often oil, is necessary to make a good salad, but this place managed to deliver something that tasted really good and had nice flavor with the use of little to no dressing. i'm impressed at the end of my meal, i got a carrot cake from the dessert menu this was decently sized, and the cream cheese frosting on this had a wonderful flavor i didn't taste the carrot as much in the inside of the cake, but i could tell it was still baked well, and the frosting added a great touch i would say its more of a cupcake than a cake, however i came during happy hour, so for the price of about $14, the sourdough bread + the salmon sliders were a pretty good value i can't say the same for the carrot cake - as while it was good - about 9 dollars is a little too expensive for that

We come here a few times a year specifically for their happy hour - the prices are a bit higher than other spots, but you're paying for sustainably caught seafood, so it makes sense. This visit, we ordered a variety of happy hour items to share across the table: the crabby deviled eggs, crab cakes, salmon sliders, Manila clams, fried shrimp, calamari, and a side Caesar salad. Their complimentary sourdough bread basket is always a hit, too. The staff here is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the service is great every time. We've always been seated pretty quickly, and their outdoor patio facing Greenlake is perfect in the warmer months. Always a reliable spot for good seafood and a relaxed atmosphere.

We even said something to them about the line assuming they didn't see and they said they'd told the host. I don't think the host realized what happened, but it started the experience off on a bad note. There were water cups but water wasn't filled until 30 minutes in when we asked. I got an iced tea with no sweetener. I had to ask and then it was a limited assortment and the sugar was chunky (old, exposed to water?). They were out of two of the vegetarian options: veggie patty for their burgers and the fried artichokes. We were there two hours after opening so it seemed odd that they were out already. Maybe they had a big party of vegetarians before us. Everyone felt incredibly stressed out and the atmosphere was chaotic. There was no proactive service. I had to flag people down to ask for water, sweetener, a refill. Everyone was rushing around and not paying attention to basics like empty drinks (even empty beers). They were definitely understaffed. The staff that were there were trying, but it affected the experience. The food was actually very good. The jerk cauliflower was tasty and the chicken parm sandwich was good according to my dining companion. Large portions and flavorful. I hesitate to write bad reviews and just attribute things to bad nights but this was definitely notable. I've wanted to try this place for a while but I wish we'd gone somewhere else.
