2 stars... earned! 80 degree room... No hot water for jacuzzi room you paid for, No microwave or refrigerator..ughh!! Planned a much needed get away.. just went thru surgery for cancer... need to exhale, and recoup! After careful research we chose the wild iris inn. Our stay started off good...but after a few hours of being in the room, filling up the jacuzzi tub (only enough hot water for a half tub to be filled), our room's temperature rose to 79 degrees.. after asking for it to be fixed, we were told there is nothing we can do to bring it down... unless we open all the doors, including main Room door leading to hall way, so there would be no privacy!! So for 2 nights the room was close to 79 degrees. Which made for a miserable stay! There is no microwave available for guests, no refrigerator, and the town closes down by 8pm. So nothing you can do for food unless you eat cold food or leave and drive 30 minutes to eat. Not recommended! read more

This bed and breakfast is definitely a great place to stay if you're in the area. The beds are huge and comfy, the gas fireplace is a nice touch, and the cookies are quite yummy. However, our room smelled kind of strange all through our stay (I think the owner mentioned that the smell was the linen spray they use), and I didn't find that appealing. The breakfast was very nice; I'm not a big egg person, but their fritatta was well-made, and the homemade granola a great touch. read more

After checking out the many hotel choices online in LaConner, we decided on The Wild Iris Inn. Very clean, with new furnishings, yet simple country charm.The lobby has a cozy lodge feel.The rooms are fresh look, and quiet. The bed was so comfortable, I considered a second night's stay! I can not say enough about this place or Sheri the Inn keeper who manages it!!!! We had the perfect room, perfect bed, perfect nights sleep, perfect breakfast. Sitting on the deck I was witness to a couple of frogs, an inquisitive hummingbird and many more of mother nature's treasures. I chose a room that had a two person hot tub on the deck which was wonderful in the evening. I'm looking forward to going back in the winter to take full advantage of it. The Inn is so quiet and peaceful and the best part, only two to a room and no children under 8!!!! We enjoyed the frittata this morning for breakfast in the dining room but they also had the continental breakfasts laid out as well. I really couldn't have been happier, which if you knew me is saying a lot. Well, until this winter......... Oh I almost forgot to mention the fabulous homemade cookies you are presented with upon check in.......that's a whole other post in itself! read more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and what a great time, great Jacuzzi king room, newly renovated. We had such a fun weekend in La Conner! We arrived on a Friday night and had reserved the room with the outdoor hot tub. The room was immaculate, quiet, and cozy. The cookies they put in our room each night were ridiculous - so delicious (coconut, walnut, milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, etc). The staff/owners were all lovely and welcoming, and as others have stated they blew breakfast out of the water each morning. Both mornings featured a house-made parfait (berries, berry yogurt, and granola), a sweet bread (one morning was oatmeal bread, the next morning was berry/almond bread), and an egg dish (the first morning was a sausage/tomato/zucchini/cheese frittata, and the second morning was an asparagus/tomato/broccoli/cheese quiche). The town itself is quaint. We were there in the off-season, and I imagine there's more to do and see in the summer. We did go for a 5-mile run in the snow on the streets of La Conner. We appreciated the flat terrain! read more

We got the Spa King for 2 nights which cost us around $440 which included a jacuzzi, free homemade breakfast, free bike rental and a really clean and comfy room. Wild Iris is a great experience! My husband and I were very comfortable in the room, and the breakfast was delicious every day. The staff at the hotel are especially warm and friendly and helped us a lot with restaurant ideas and suggestions for activities during the day. La Conner is a great base for exploring the area, too! We were so excited for our 1st trip to La Conner to celebrate our anniversary. I did lot of research for the perfected place to stay and thought Wild Iris would be a great spot for 2 nights. The Inn is pretty and quaint, however we were terribly disappointed by a few things. 1) the breakfast: we only receive 1 strawberry and the smallest slice of watermelon and cantaloupe and small serving of frittada. This exact breakfast was served on BOTH mornings so there was no variety and the quantity of food was terrible. The server was practically running even though one we were the only couple eating breakfast at the time. We felt rushed and unwelcome. We left hungry and had to go get a real breakfast. 2) customer service: When we arrived we had 2 cookies in our room that were quite delicious. And since I was still hungry after breakfast, I asked if they had any more cookies? I was told NO! they only make them for incoming guests. I was like are you serious? We already don't have access to any tea/coffee or the midday cookies and how hard is it to make a dozen cookies instead of just a few? When your paying over $500 you expect better service. We certainly did not receive the breakfast advertised on their website (they should update that because its false advertising), however the price of the stay was not reduced to reflect this change. Just because we are in this covid situation does not mean you have to have no variety in food, be stingy on the amount of food you provide. There is such an easy solution, you are already serving us like a restaurant what is stopping you from offering the same food you normally have just plate it and bring it to our table like restaurants do. The least they can do is drop off cookies by our door to prevent contact yet still provide the guests with a better experience. It's the principle that bothers me so much. 3) The water was on the luke warm side and the shower pressure was very poor! Overall, we will not be staying there when we return in the fall. read more

I have to say that the bed was extremely comfortable, often I don't sleep well when I'm away from home but this bed was wonderful. We visit La Conner not only for its unique quaint shops and delicious restaurants (Seeds and La Travita, or favorites)!; but we absolutely fell in love with The Wild Iris the first time we ever stepped through her doors. That was years ago; and we are drawn back over and over again to embrace some R & R, beautiful surroundings, quiet deck overlooking farmland, and delicious breakfasts. Steve and Lori, the inn owners are simply amazing. Each room is decorated differently and beautifully. I love that you can sit at your own table in the large breakfast room. As soon as we arrive in our room, we are devouring cookies that they have for you upon arrival. We grab our cookie, sit on the deck and devour each morsel of an oatmeal infused delight full of cranberries, white chocolate, milk chocolate, and more........ A delightful place. read more

I learned this place is run by a former hotel marketing exec. It shows as everything here is well thought out. It's a modern purpose-built building but with a tasteful B&B theme to it. Reasonably priced. Excellent staff. A very generous 2-course breakfast that I doubt anyone can finish. I think they should let people choose a single course or both if they are starved. Otherwise a lot of food can go to waste. We had the least expensive room which looks out to the parking area. It was small but nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable. In the morning on Monday however some commuter traffic going by was loud in addition to the garbage trucks. Next time I would spend the extra money to get a room facing the opposite direction overlooking what looked like a small farm field. Oh and the cookies they give you when you arrive are a meal in itself.! You can walk a block to town. If this place was on the water or had a better territorial view I'd give it 5 stars. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Ty. Ty was extremely friendly and hospitable. She welcomed us with cookies and they were delicious. I recommended this wonderful place. We stayed in one of the causal guestrooms for our wedding night. Don't let "casual guestroom" fool you. It was a beautiful space with a lot of nice, homey touches. The room was nicely decorated, and when we came in, there were two HUGE cookies waiting for us in the room. The bed and bathroom were comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was really good. The staff called us by name and were very friendly and helpful. You truly feel like an honored guest while staying there. The irony is that we had originally made a reservation for our wedding night at another hotel in town that was actually quite a bit more costly. We stopped and looked at that room a couple weeks prior and realized the place was a dump. Then we stumbled on the Wild Iris and couldn't believe what a nice find it was, for such a reasonable rate. I'm sure their suites are even better. They are within walking distance of the main street in LaConner, and although you don't have a water view here, you get MUCH MORE for your money than the options on the water. Just the breakfast alone is worth about $40. It was an ideal, romantic spot for our wedding night, and we can't wait to go back. Will definitely make it a tradition on our anniversaries, but will probably be back before then. read more

Dishonest owner - stay away! We stayed in a Casual Guestroom. which turned out to be very overpriced. It is very small - much smaller than a regular room you get at a motel. The bathroom is very ordinary, and the tub is small and below standards. After publishing this review on Tripadvisor, I got a dishonest reply from the manager who lied about my visit and tried to ridicule me. When asked to correct the reply so that it will be thuthful, the owner threatened to sue me. This is probably the worst hotel owner I've met in my life. read more

Lovely stay, better than expected! This is a charming, updated B&B that combines the right balance of size and service. Our east-facing bedroom had a lovely view over the farm fields and of the Cascades, and the sun on our porch felt just right. The room was quiet, the furnishings are lovely, and the bed was quite comfy. It's easy walking distance to the waterfront and to local eateries. This place is amazing! A perfect place for a few day get-a-way. Everyday you get fresh baked cookies in your room that are to die for. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms with the jetted tubs are wonderful - the tub is wide enough to fit two people side by side. Nice decor and my room was very quiet - I didn't hear the people in the next room or doors shutting at all. Friendly staff. However, although I told them in advance that I am wheat-intolerant, they made no special effort for me at all, just pointed out the items on the buffet that didn't have wheat. I had to tell them that no, I could not eat the cookies they offered when I checked in and point out that flour tortilla they used for the breakfast burrito had wheat in it and ask them to use corn tortillas instead. Most inns I've stayed at have no problem providing for GF folks so I was surprised that this seemed like such a big deal. read more

We have stayed here 2 years in a row. This B&B is nothing like others. Every room has a private bath, you never have to share with anyone. It is setup more as a hotel, yet very homelike. All of their rooms are lovely, and they have options of getting a spa tub inside or outside. Everyone is very nice and it is actually very quiet in between rooms. Breakfast has 2 courses, usually a yogurt parfait and bagel of some kind, then the main egg dish. There are things to do in the area down by the dock, and good restaurants too. The best thing about it is the way it smells. It smells of nothing, which means it's clean. :) AND they give you the BEST warm cookies ever for when you arrive. read more

I must say the Wild Iris was a great place to stay due to the breakfast! We are those people that have several food allergies and the Inn was extremely accommodating. For breakfast they did a gluten free dairy bread, and an amazing scrambled veggie egg thing that was such a delight. If we could have this everywhere we went we would be in heaven! It can be quite difficult for both sides to deal with food sensitivities, yet the Inn dealt with it with huge professionalism and big smiles. The rooms were more than fine, ( we needed 2 because of availability), comfortable and clean. It's now our favorite place to stay in La Conner without a doubt! read more
