The first time I stayed here in July 2015, it was amazing. The room was very comfy. Came here because of the nice big jetted tub in the room. The breakfast was so yummy. They came and waited on the table, bringing 2 courses of fresh yummy ingredients. Also making sure we had coffee, juice, milk to drink, refilling as we wanted. Second time coming here in December. Right away could tell something was different. I picked a different room, still with jetted tub. when getting to the room, realized not the same size of tub, so was moved to the room I had before. Greg did not realize the tub was a different size. So that was the first clue things were different. The tub was a bit dirty. :( When going for breakfast the next morning. There was fruit on a side board with some juice, cereal, yogurt. Coffee and cups with cream on another side board. Felt like being at a hotel with their continental breakfast. That was our first course apparently. The same stuff all 3 mornings I had breakfast there. The second course the first day, which was served at the table. Was a spinach omelet (just mediocre) with very salty country potatoes. The owner came out and said he has been there just 2 months, a new owner, Greg. Very nice guy. So just as thought this is the difference, he changed things. The breakfast the second day was scrambled eggs with peppers and bacon. Nothing special. Third day Spinach omelelts again with peppers. Needless to say. I will not be going back. I really hope that he changes the breakfast back to the way it was before. If was so nice the first time we came. read more

I adore this place. My first experience was last summer when I was going to a wedding in Mt Vernon. I decided to make a weekend out of it. This b and b is adorable. You walk in and are greeted by one of the staff members (I told her how I was here for a wedding, which the bride and groom were staying there for the night too) and you could just see how enthusiastic she was about the wedding, her being able to help etc. I was shown up to my room, and what was on the bedside table? Fresh baked cookies. Hell yes. After a fun wedding, I slept soundly in a nice bed, and had to leave early to get to Seattle for Seafair, so I missed the breakfast. Fast forward to memorial day weekend, I decided to take a Carly trip up there. Once again, greeted quickly, shown to my room, and yummy cookies! But here is the best part... the BREAKFAST! OMG! Homemade pumpkin bread (which they will gladly wrap up if you don't want to eat it all for drive home), granola, fresh fruit, quiche, sausage, juice, coffee.... YUM. The breakfast staff included the owners, and your coffee was always full and smiles all around. Everyone seemed very relaxed at their tables for breakfast. A pleasant inn located within walking distance to Main Street. Pros: killer fresh cookies upon check in, comfortable bed, friendly service. Cons: brown bananas and the occasional sad fruit in the breakfast buffet. Rooms are small, mold in bathroom shower and stains on carpet give the impression of a tired facility in need of more attentive care. read more

The hotel and staff were exceptionally wonderful and would get top stars but Im giving it two stars because we both got a confirmed food borne illness from their breakfast. We were disappointed with with their lack of attention, interest and follow-up when we contacted them to report our experience. Our stay was lovely but with a really bad ending. read more

Wedding night! And off to The Wild Iris Inn for our honeymoon. As soon as we arrived the welcome sign was well lit and it was easy to find. It was a dark and stormy night but the room was immediately upgraded for us since we were on our honeymoon. We originally booked a king bedroom and we were upgraded to the King deluxe and I tell you it was totally worth it! It was the most beautiful King deluxe room that I had ever been in before with a cozy fireplace and a jetted tub complete with bathrobes and two wine glasses some very delicious huge home made cookies, and a big bouquet of fresh flowers. The owner was exceptionally nice and we felt very welcome. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and the service was exceptional in the morning including breakfast was absolutely delicious and we were very full after finishing! We googled the local hotel prices and this place is maybe a touch more expensive but well worth it for a beautiful stay. If you're wanting something more than the holiday inn express, stay here! :) read more

Of all the B and B's we've tried in the area, this one has the best in-room touches. The deluxe king rooms have a two-person jetted tub, a gas fireplace, a small deck overlooking spectacular Skagit Valley, and a flatscreen TV with DVD player. The rooms are tastefully decorated but not overdone. The innkeepers and staff were super nice and very helpful with suggestions for places to eat as well as directions to points of interests. The sitting area has tea and other hot drinks available throughout the day as well as a gas fireplace for chilly nights. My only suggestion is for the breakfast to be a little more varied from day to day. The first day we had an egg casserole dish with ham and grilled asparagus, the second day we had an egg casserole dish with sausage and no asparagus. The first course each day was a lovely yogurt and granola parfait with coffee cake. I have been to many B and B's in the area and they usually vary breakfasts from day to day to include other things like pancakes, waffles, eggs benedict, etc. I still recommend this as a good place to stay, just expected a little more breakfast umph from Wild Iris. read more

AMAZING! This is the BEST B&B in Washington. The service is exceptional, the breakfast is delicious, the rooms are special, and it's an overall amazing experience. My husband and I stayed here a couple weeks ago for our wedding anniversary. It was during the most recent snowmageddon and we had planned to stay in a different town, who canceled on us as we were packing the car to leave. My husband called the Wild Iris to see if they had room and talked to Lori, the owner, who was so sweet. When we arrived she greeted us enthusiastically and took us to our room. We went for the mid-level room with the gas fireplace and outdoor jacuzzi, which was lovely. There were even fresh flowers and freshly baked cookies! (Which are amazing.) The bed was super comfy and they have aveda products in the bathrooms. Breakfast the next morning was terrific. A yogurt parfait and muffin for the first course and quiche for the second. I had told her that I don't eat pork the night before, which she remembered and made me a meatless version, which was delicious. We felt like the owners really go above and beyond and we will definitely go back to the Wild Iris and recommend it to anyone! read more

What an amazing night and the Wild Iris! We had the room wth the king suite with the spa bath in the room. It was such a romantic and relaxing evening. The attention to detail was evident! Rooms were very clean and well furnished. It contained a nice television over a gas fireplace, CD player with different relaxing CD's, bath salts for the jacuzzi tub, very comfy and clean king bed, and a large bathroom. For no charge extra, you can have breakfast sent to your room which we recommend! The staff were amazing and everyone was very hospitable. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Great spot! Super comfortable bed. Friendly staff and operators. Breakfast was real good. Had a room with an indoor jacuzzi, gas fireplace, its own bathroom and a deck. The walk to the commercial strip of shops is only 3 or 4 blocks. Well worth it. read more

My husband and I are big fans of B&Bs. We love them. This felt more like a fancy hotel. While it was a very nice place to stay, it lacked the warmth we usually enjoy when we choose a B&B. The room was clean. We were given cookies upon our arrival. We borrowed a DVD from their collection and watched it in our room. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special (french toast and sausage, with a spread of yogurts, fruit, granola, and baked goods to also enjoy). The staff was polite. It was a perfectly fine place, but I've been spoiled by my past B&B experiences. I told them it was my anniversary, and I would love any information on what to do before the allowed check in time. No response. I did, however, get a confirmation email a week before my stay inviting us to ask if we needed anything before our arrival. Which seemed like they didn't pay attention to the email, especially since we got a "happy anniversary" when we checked in. So they got the email. read more
