Came here on Wednesday night so we got to enjoy some live music during our dinner! Ambiance is beautiful. The restaurant is actually very spacious inside. Loved everything from the soup dumplings to crispy duck. Ended the mean with some matcha ice cream. They even have a lot of veggie options. Their cocktails and menu are very creative - have a look at the pics! Please support your local businesses!

Literally found a roach in our cup when we ordered canned cokes. Felt so sick and upset so we asked for the manager but the owner came. Not a single apology and he just kept trying to take our cup away. During the midst of all this, our entree arrived and we didn't want to eat it obviously. The owner's response to that: "do what you gotta do." So I'll do what I gotta do and at least warn others before they think about eating here.

I went here on a weekday night with my grandparents and uncle. We have been going to this small local "chain" restaurant for a few years now and they have never disappointed. This restaurant is huge so big parties can be well accommodated. We got seated promptly and the host was very nice and happy to see us. We started off with edamame which was lightly salted and steamed to perfection. We all loved the edamame appetizer. I ordered the tamarind wok glazed chicken. I really enjoyed it. The meat was juicy and tender and the sauce lifted up the chicken flavor. Only thing I wished for was a touch of spice to cut some of the sweetness of the sauce. My family liked what they had to order which were the duck tacos, and the wok steak. We had matcha ice cream for dessert that I thoroughly enjoyed. Matcha is my favorite ice cream :) Thank you for having us, we will be back !

Solid spot. Always fast and quality spot for a business lunch. I recommend this restaurant, to anyone in the area!

Went to Wild Ginger with some coworkers for lunch on a Friday. I had been to other locations of this chain, and they pretty much serve Americanized versions of basically every type of Asian food. Lunch specials run about $10, which may be common to the NYC area, I'm not sure. I ordered the Singapore noodles, which resembled Singapore mei fun, and requested that they make it spicy. It wasn't spicy, but it was decent, if not a bit oily. The presentation was good since it was served in a tiny wok, but I could definitely see the pool of oil at the bottom of the wok once I had finished. Not bad, not great.

I rely on Yelp Reviews to select places to eat this please didn't have that many stars so I was going to skip however I needed to get California rolls for my daughter and I was in the vicinity. My husband was looking over the menu and found some items that looks good so we placed an order and I'm happy we tried it. We place the order and the food was ready within about 15 minutes. The price was OK, definitely want to try their lunch specials to see the portions vs price. To mention - the food was very fresh, and it was a good sized portion. The sliced flank was VERY flavorful and aromatic!

Two friends and I went to dinner at Suko Restaurant on Middle Neck Road. When we arrived, I asked if we could sit outside, and the owner had no problem with that. While we were enjoying our meal, one of my friends mentioned that the edamame needed a little more salt. Seeing the owner outside, I politely asked if we could have some salt. To my shock, he suddenly started yelling at me and told me that I was being rude. At first, I thought he was joking, so I responded, "Can you imagine how rude I am to my husband?" His response was completely inappropriate and offensive. He said that if he were my husband, he would slap me on my behind over and over again in a sensual manner and that I would enjoy every moment of it. My friends and I were absolutely stunned. When I asked him to stop and bring us the check, he then said that "you Jews always give me problems." A few minutes later, after I told the waitstaff that I intended to share my experience on GN Mommies, he came over with hot sake to apologize. He even offered to refund our meal, but I declined. I don't want anything from someone who makes hateful remarks about Jews. After living in Great Neck for 40 years, I have never experienced anything like this. As a Jewish resident, I was deeply offended by both the inappropriate sexual comments and the anti-Semitic remark. I will never set foot in this restaurant again.

That stayed with us as the service from Alex and Henry was outstanding - very attentive, kept bringing us hot and I mean fresh and hot pots of the gorgeous tea; gave us time to peruse the big menu and then picked up dishes in seconds. Very professional and courteous. The table settings and dishes were exquisite. The food was divine. The House special Wonton soup was loaded and so flavorful. ( photo) . The entrees - the chicken teriyaki and the gluten free ( lots of options) shrimp were delicious. The accompanying bowl of brown rice was really good. This was a very small part of a very extensive menu featuring sushi, special rollls, Chef specials and gluten and kid friendly selections. Something for everyone! The atmosphere was relaxing. There was a big wedding party in the center of the restaurant and it made everything more festive and fun and we still enjoyed our conversation just 30 feet from this group. It came to $154 for the 3 of us for a wonderful and ample lunch( leftovers) plus tip. Absolutely worth it for this quality and excellent service. Menu is very limited with the protein options though with a few choices of noodles (spicy, ramen, or soup versions). They also carry poke bowls which I have yet to try. I did enjoy my beef over rice very much. Thin slices of beef, super tender and delicious. The sauce was on the sweeter side which was drizzled onto the beef as an au jus. And it came with half an egg, pickled radishes and broccoli. Another dish I enjoyed was the fish and cabbage hot pot. That was served with a bowl of rice. No noodles. Even with the spice level at "one pepper" rating, it was too much of a kick for me. But those that like spicy will enjoy it just fine. The fish pieces it came with were generous sized portions and this bowl was loaded with vegetables. Wood ear, mushrooms, cabbage, sliced white radish, and bean curd skin. It also has a few slices of spam (which I did order extra so I'm not sure if the normal is two slices). We also tried the pan fried pork gyoza which was perfectly fried on each side. Nice color. Taiwanese pork as a side comes with one pc per order. The fried chicken appetizer could use a little more spices but the chicken was so tender and very juicy. I liked it a lot. It does come with a dipping sauce which helps but I didn't use it much. All in all a good spot for take out but the menu will need to be expanded in order to have longevity. Sadly it didn't look busy each time I came to pick up. Staff is attentive and friendly.

I got a call from the restaurant 2.5 hrs. prior to my reservation time, telling me that there is a conflict, they have a party booked for that room tonight so we couldn't use the party room. When I questioned how that was possible since I booked the room over 3 weeks in advance, I was told that the person who booked my dinner was unaware that they were in negotiations with this other party, that they hadn't received a down payment yet from them and that was why it wasn't in the computer. I was told that this was a $120/head party with open bar. I found the entire story to be sketchy and difficult to believe. Because it was so close to the time of our group's dinner, I had no choice but to allow them to set us up at a table in the middle of the restaurant. While they did a nice job setting up the table with tablecloths and making it nice, this did not meet the needs of our group at all. This is a group that meets monthly and who like to socialize with each other after dinner, change seats around and chat with each other. Being in the middle of the restaurant it was impossible for us to do this. The party room would have been perfect. The restaurant closed at 10 pm the day we were there. I left at 8pm and there was still no one in the party room, so I feel the story given to me was made up and there was no big party being held in that room on that evening. They likely did not want to use that space, perhaps staffing or some other reason. I would have preferred to be told the truth; it would have sat much better with me than the story I was told. I also did not believe that they had the possibility of a big party and it wasn't in the computer for the staff to be aware that the room would possibly be occupied that night. The food was good, although two of our group said their dish was cold. Sushi was fresh. Service was good, staff was attentive. I am definitely never going to use this restaurant again to book our group dinner, but I might go again for a lunch or possibly a dinner with just a couple of other people. I'm very disappointed in how they changed my reservation at the last minute, and the party room remained empty the entire evening.

But I've never ever encountered what I got from Tiga... even from far cheaper restaurants. Last year, I ordered 3 special rolls and excitedly picked them up. When I opened the package later, it appeared that they decided to squish all 3 of our rolls into one single plastic takeout container. So instead of each of us being able to enjoy the roll that we chose, we had to "share", dig from one container, with no other plates to use. Not only that, they squished the rolls so tightly together that the rice of the 3 rolls got stuck together, and the sauces of got mixed up. So as we tried to get our own rolls out to eat, it soon became like one container of fried rice - except it wasn't fried - just a mess of rice with toppings. For rolls that cost $20+ each, don't you think that each of the 3 of us deserved our own container to eat from? We were 3 colleagues who did not wish to eat out of one single bowl. But what missed the mark for me was the "room for improvement" on a few things. The ramen was decent, broth was not packing enough umami for me. The extra noodle portion was ample. Overall the ramen just lacked that oomph factor but it's a decent noodle soup otherwise. The other item was the poke bowl we ordered. It sounded great on the menu but arrived a bit disappointing. The bowl was only half full and skimpy on the rice and ingredients in general. While it offers so many choices and includes a variety of items in three categories - it doesn't justify the portion. I believe you get more at standard poke place. Now onto my sashimi deluxe. It came with a bowl of rice but not with miso soup. I realized it when I got the bill. Many places have entrees that come with soup or salad (my bad for assuming). Overall food was good so no complaints there. I just wished the proportion was to par. On that note, I've ordered from them many times for home delivery and they are very good with packaging and delivery times. Despite my rating on this visit, it's still a solid spot to dine in.

Also, early on, we had a little service issue that was tacitly resolved in our favor. We only wanted to order appetizers at first and later order the main courses. The server told us words to the effect that they take the order for everything at the same time because if later the restaurant is packed, the kitchen gets overwhelmed, and, also, they bring out the food whenever it's ready. As requested, we gave her our order for everything, but ultimately she was able to just serve the appetizers first and then pause until we were done with them before she brought out the main courses. My wife wanted a sweet white wine with her fish, like a Mosel. The closest they said they had was a fruity white Riesling, called Selbach/Incline, which turned out to be very fruity and delicious!

We went for dinner and the loud party music absolutely did not fit the calm, natural interior decor. In fact, the music was irritating and confusing when the decor looks more zen-like. Not sure what they're going for there. Service was not very attentive either. No one ever asked how our food was or if we needed anything. Water cup was left empty often. So then am I paying for some magical taste in these dishes? Because the prices are double that of some excellent Chinese options not only in Queens, but even Long Island. Again, all the dishes were presented very well, but if I ate blindfolded I would not have noticed anything truly amazing. Lamb potstickers were good, but could use some more cumin and spice. Seafood fried rice had hot chilli peppers in it - why?? Also may want to warn customers of this since families with young kids ordering rice/noodles may be ordering for kids who don't eat spicy food (not indicated on menu). Shanghai soup dumpling were...unusual. Adding a goji berry on top is a little gimmicky, but we all hated the mushy filling. The meat falls apart inside the dumpling and perhaps that's what they're going for? I also suspect there is a lot of msg and salt being used. The duck was delicious cooked, cut perfectly and presented nicely. A warning about the cranberry sauce - if you have it during Thanksgiving, great go for it. If you don't like cranberry sauce during Thanksgiving, don't even bother with it here. Duck is not turkey (what an insult that would be to compare the two) but I'm guessing that's where the idea for cranberry sauce came from. In the end, it felt like westernised cuisine masquerading as Chinese food. (My family wanted to give Jia 2 stars - they never want to go back, but I'm feeling generous :P) My star rating legend: 5: A+ Worth a special journey (ie.
