Everyone & everything has been affected during these chaotic & unreliable times. Small biz restaurants gotta save where they can just like everyone else to stay alive. I look forward to the day when this restaurant can go back to good-sized portions with a satisfying amount of meat & vegetables rather than having to really scale down. Been coming here for years and it's still in the rotation despite the downgrade in value currently. Being able to count the number of meat pieces on one hand and the number of veggies on the other is disheartening. A container filled with steamed rice & sauce instead of meat & veggies is disappointing and expensive. I've never found Wong Kok to fall into the category of "greasy Chinese food." That's a definite plus. While the lunch specials are generally still an ok deal during this horrible economy, be prepared to spend and not receive quite the return you once were used to getting from your fav Chinese food joint. Even the fortune cookies have shrunk about 20% in size! Worth the drive? Yes, because the food has always been hot & fresh and tastes pretty good. The chicken with garlic sauce was mildly spicy and contained white meat chicken, sliced onions, and sliced celery. It reminded me of the same dish I had many years ago: same ingredients, same taste.
