This was my first time having the Strawberry Lemonade and I was hesitant to order it due to the $4.49 price tag, but it was worth it, in my opinion. The sweet to tart balance was on point! In town for the April, 2024 eclipse, we decided to head to Wild Eggs for breakfast. We've been to several in the Louisville area before so it was a known commodity and it was a short walk from our hotel. We were seated immediately (it was a Monday, so it wasn't packed) and sat quite a while before we were greeted (they appeared to be somewhat short staffed). No matter, because we were with our best friends from Albuquerque. A couple cups of coffee later and we ordered our meals. I'm a big fan of Wild Eggs' Western Omelet, so that was an easy choice for me. Food delivery was a bit long (about 20 minutes), but was delivered mostly hot. My toast wasn't warm enough to melt butter. The staff that was there was hustling taking care of tables and getting food. Because they appeared to be a little light on personnel tables were left for a while after emptied. It's odd to visit a Wild Eggs that isn't slammed. They can be very loud and hectic (I don't know that that they've ever heard of acoustic tiles), so this visit was surprisingly NOT loud and hectic. That was a nice change. It was a pleasant enough visit, especially given we were there with our best friends. If we find ourselves in Carmel we'll definitely stop in again. read more

Kyle and the hostess were super awesome. Went in for a quick bite and in serious need of some caffeinated chocolate. The mocha was great l! The cook put his foot in that French Toast (no powdered sugar). One slice was all I needed to get me to my next appointment. Very chill and quiet besides the music. It wasn't at all loud like some places but loud enough to where I didn't feel like I needed to scream over it for conversation or strain to listen. The playlist threw me a bit. Keep in mine I am not a fan of turkey but gave it a try. The food was super tasty and worth the try, I probably would not order again only because I don't like turkey, but it was a great combo of yummy items and worthy of eating. The place was spotless of course it was 7 am. But still I have been places at that time that were not as clean. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast if in the area. Wild eggs is a legit granny's homestyle breakfast in the old midwest kinda spot! I went to visit my Midwestern friends Aaron and Meagan and they suggested this spot! It has a causal feel on the outside, but feels very new and homely on the inside... the breakfast portions are HUGE no matter what you order, and they have a variety of mimosas - pomegranate, strawberry lemonade, orange pineapple, and gran mimosa! I ordered the Kalamity Katie's eggs Benedict and orange pineapple mimosas - it came in 15 mins! The mimosa was refreshing and strong, although it's on the sweeter side... the Kalamity Katie's was more breakfast than I ever asked for! It's enough to feed 2 adults and child. But who's complaining! Has so much gravy and mash under the benny if you're looking for that midwestern hospitality! It has been a while since I have eaten at Wild Eggs, but wanted to give it a try again through Uber Eats. I ordered the veggie scramble with fresh berries and an English muffin. It was delicious and I enjoyed it. The scramble was prepared with love and care. The fresh berries were definitely fresh. On my last visit to Wild Eggs, the service was lacking and I was not impressed with the dining experience. The ambiance was decent and OK from what I can remember. Since I ordered through Uber Eats, I can say the food is excellent and top quality. I will have to go back to the restaurant to see if the service has gotten any better, just to see if they have changed their ways. I sent it back and did a create your own omlette, super fast she reminded me the kitchen was closing. I hurried. . I was hungry so I took a bite of the biscuits and bacon gravy. We asked for a side of sausage ,they only had turkey sausage here. The biscuit was hard and dry which was not cured by the bacon gravy. This flavorless gooey substance was not good. The French toast was yummy, I was happy for that bite. I had ordered an egg white omlette, mushrooms, onion, spinach and goat cheese. This was fantastic comparatively. Overall. OMG, so yummy! Hashbrowns with red onion, sausage, red and green peppers, poblano, egg how you want it, smothered in yummy Queso. Such a good filling choice! I got a large glass of chocolate milk which didn't have a ton of flavor and then noticed they have a fresh orange squeezing machine! I'm sure it was as good as it smelled! Service was great and they do have a few tables outside should you want to sit outside. They seemed to space out the tables so we weren't close to anyone. Food came out quick and was piping hot! They did seem short staffed and were helping everyone as they tried to clean up since they were closing soon. I'm always on the hunt for a place that adds pancakes (toast is overrated!--lol) to an entree with eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Wild Eggs was there for me. Cakes were malty and fluffy. Everything tasted like grandma had folded together the raw ingredients only five minutes prior. Prices are higher than your local greasy spoon diner, but this isn't a greasy spoon. SO MUCH FOOD! The mad platter truly is the best bang for your buck of any brunch/breakfast place I've been to so far. You get three eggs, bacon, home fries, a pancake and a muffin! There were three of us at breakfast and we ended up just ordering two for us all to share. And there was still food leftover!! I can see why the place was pretty packed on a Sunday! But thankfully the wait wasn't too long for a table. Can't go wrong with eggs and bacon and surprisingly a good amount of each (three eggs and about 4-5 slices of bacon!)
