Have been wanting to try a wild eggs location for awhile. Every time we've gone they've been packed so it was nice to go today and only a handful of people were there. It's Tuesday and was around 1, they close at 2 so understandable. We wanted brunch and their menu didn't disappoint. So many items sounded good but I settled for the potato head casserole. OMG, so yummy! Hashbrowns with red onion, sausage, red and green peppers, poblano, egg how you want it, smothered in yummy Queso. Such a good filling choice! I got a large glass of chocolate milk which didn't have a ton of flavor and then noticed they have a fresh orange squeezing machine! I'm sure it was as good as it smelled! Service was great and they do have a few tables outside should you want to sit outside. They seemed to space out the tables so we weren't close to anyone. Food came out quick and was piping hot! They did seem short staffed and were helping everyone as they tried to clean up since they were closing soon. Parts of the restaurant looked a little run down and maybe not as clean as it once was because of the low staff however you could tell they were doing their best and I didn't feel like my food was questionable. This would be my go-to breakfast joint if I lived here! I'd already been to the Wild Eggs in Louisville during a recent road trip. Imagine my shock of good fortune to happen upon this location during that very same road trip! A visit thus was a no-brainer. Interior is bright, modern, and cheery. Service was friendly and attentive. I even got my own carafe of coffee at my table. (Me: Need a warm up on your coffee, honey? Also me: Why yes!) And I'm a self-professed pancake junkie. I'm always on the hunt for a place that adds pancakes (toast is overrated!--lol) to an entree with eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Wild Eggs was there for me. Cakes were malty and fluffy. Everything tasted like grandma had folded together the raw ingredients only five minutes prior. Prices are higher than your local greasy spoon diner, but this isn't a greasy spoon. SO MUCH FOOD! The mad platter truly is the best bang for your buck of any brunch/breakfast place I've been to so far. You get three eggs, bacon, home fries, a pancake and a muffin! There were three of us at breakfast and we ended up just ordering two for us all to share. And there was still food leftover!! I can see why the place was pretty packed on a Sunday! But thankfully the wait wasn't too long for a table. Can't go wrong with eggs and bacon and surprisingly a good amount of each (three eggs and about 4-5 slices of bacon!) Well, Wild Eggs, I'm doing something rare (for me) by deducting two stars from my previous glowing review. Don't get me wrong - your dine-in experience is still fantastic, so that's not what this is about. The issue here is the atrocious way you're "shorting" your customers on portion sizes with Grubhub orders. Last Sunday we decided to be lazy and order breakfast from home, and although my Breakfast Burrito was still great, everything else was ridiculously under-sized. The 'Zax I am Fried Eggs' & potatoes, along with the Avocado Toast items literally looked like miniature versions of what we get when dining in, and this has happened every time we order from you via a delivery service. What definitely wasn't small was the price; paying the Grubhub inflated prices on your menu items it bad enough, but getting half as much in the process is just adding insult to injury. I would argue that the Grubhub price gouge requires you to increase portion sizes a little, not decrease them. Before you blame this on the 3rd-party delivery service, remember that Grubhub had absolutely nothing to do with the preparation and packaging of the food. That's all on you. The only thing Grubhub did was charge me an arm and a leg to drive it to my house. Get it together guys. Came here for a quick Sunday brunch with the hubby and kiddos and loved it! We made a reservation on our way thinking it would be packed. When we arrived it wasn't too crowded and we were able to be seated before our reserved time which was great! We ordered pretty quickly! I got the Southwest Steak and Cheese Omelet and my husband got the Chicken Cordon Bleu Skillet! We both loved our dishes and cleaned our plates! If you see Crown Liquor or Noble Romans you're in the correct strip center. The menu is full of marvelous options for breakfast or lunch. The breakfast items include the Basic Eggs, Pancakes and Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy, Stuffed French Toast and many wonderful creations of Omelettes, Burritos, Skillets and a KY Hot Brown plus much more. The lunch menu includes several sandwiches and a Grilled Chicken Salad. Today I ordered the Make Your Own 4 Egg Omelette with Pepper Jack Cheese, Mushrooms and Spinach. It is served with 2 sides and I opted for the potatoes and Blueberry Muffin. The omlette was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were slightly crispy with a yummy Blueberry muffin. I also ordered a Cinnamon Roll to-go for later. The Bloody Mary was flavorful but I would prefer spicer. My server, Daniel, was friendly, prompt with drinks, breakfast and to-go order came out quickly. When I was ready to leave he was right there with my check and I paid him at the table. I'm in the food business so I get it but inconsistent "rules" really upset me. Tried to eat here today but couldn't wait the 25 minute wait time. There were plenty of open seats at the counter which is always first come first serve. I've tried to reserve some seats before because the rest of my party was not there, but told I could not. I'm kicking myself because I've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on the other side of the roundabout on a number of occasions but today was my first time visiting Wild Eggs. I missed out on creative, tasty dishes and didn't even know it! We visited on a weekday morning around 10 a.m. and it was pretty slow - I imagine it's far busier on weekends or even during earlier, more typical breakfast times. We were seated right away and served pots of coffee, my favorite way to have coffee while eating breakfast out because it means instant refills. There were lots of tempting things on the menu, from chilaquiles to stuffed French toast. I settled on the veggie bennie florentinie -- poached eggs on an English muffin, topped with wilted spinach and tomato and Hollandaise sauce. The poached eggs could have been cooked just a tad longer for my liking (and for the liking of my sweatshirt that ended up with yolk dribbles on it -- oops) but the flavor was really good with smoked paprika and garlic. The home fries are excellent. My husband had the creole omelette from the seasonal menu - it came with Andouille sausage and shrimp - and he really enjoyed it. Service was timely and friendly; our server stopped by frequently and checked in and was quick to bring us the check when we were ready for it. I have tried Wild Eggs several times and sorry to say I have been underwhelmed. I know this is going against the grain with so many great reviews here for Wild Eggs so I don't know if I have ordered the wrong things or just visited at the wrong times but my experiences have been different. I've ordered several different menu items including Veggie Bennie Florentine, chili verde huevos rancheros, and Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict. The food just didn't live up to the menu descriptions. The flavor was just lacking. The potatoes were definitely disappointing (and I love breakfast potatoes!) and the beans tasted like they came straight out of a can. The only thing I really liked was the cinnamon roll, which was shared between four of us. It was served hot and was very good. So I don't hate Wild Eggs, but it is just ok. I just feel there are several really great breakfast places in the area so this would not be my choice. read more

I wish I had good things to say about Wild Eggs, but the only good thing is that the breakfast quesadilla was pretty okay. As you can see, the guac was past due for being tossed out. I asked for a latte and watched our server go to the espresso machine to make it. It took a long time. As soon as he delivered it, I took a sip to find that it was chocolate. He started to give me an explanation as to what it was as if I had ordered wrong, but then walked away. We watched him get out a book, which we assumed held the directions to make a latte. When he delivered this one, he explained that he had made me a mocha and this was a latte. This was a watered down latte. Someone else delivered our food. No one checked on us. When our server finally came to bring our bill, I told him about the latte and he took it off the check. This place a little bit of a wait but considering it was a Sunday morning it makes sense. I suggest you hop on the waitlist before you get there to eliminate some waiting. Once you are seated the staff is very attentive and quick to take your order. The food took some time to come out of the kitchen so I suggest ordering a mimosa or two while you wait. Their pancakes are huge, full stack is three as large as the plate pancakes so come very hungry if this is your order. Most meals come with muffin of your choice, you can substitute it for toast for fruit. The farmers market skillet is delicious as it is full of veggies and two sunny side up eggs. read more

Location: I drive past Wild Eggs everyday on the way to work so finally had to pop in! Located just off US 31 on Main Street in Carmel. Very convenient location with lots of parking. Space: So much light! I loved it. Has a kitchy feel. There are 5-6 booths and many 4 top tables. There's also a half moon shape bar top for seating which is fun and different. I hate there was a TV on in there. We don't need screens for brunch, y'all. I feel strongly about this! Food: I really don't understand what they're going for at Wild Eggs. It isn't your standard down home breakfast which I love. It isn't your upscale breakfast which I equally love. It feels like it is lacking identity in who it wants to be. I went with the buffalo chicken omelet. I don't order omelets often but I love buffalo chicken anything . It came with grits, grits of the day, or potatoes and a muffin. I went with grits of the day which had sausage and cheese (apparently) and they were not edible. I like smooth, slow cooked grits. These were lumpy, really lacked flavor, and tasted like they had been sitting for days. I did the most and asked if I could get potatoes instead. The server was so sweet and happily brought me potatoes. The omelet was good filled with chicken + cheese and smothered in buffalo sauce. The blueberry muffin was standard. Every time we go there it's packed but never longer then 30 minutes. Mostly 10 to 15. You can fix some coffee while you wait. It's not a fancy place but it's simply and clean. Before they take your order a pitcher of ice water with lemons in it. When you order coffee you get a pot so you can fill it when you want it not when they have time too. I got the Kalamity Katie it's a corn cake with chorizo and two poached eggs topped with avocados and pico de gallo also Red potato and your choice of a blueberry muffin or a everything muffin. Wild Eggs Carmel exceeded all expectations! I had a large group and the host I spoke with on the phone was so helpful. With everything else in the area booked, he was able to reserve two tables for us with no problem. We arrived yesterday at our reservation time (noon) and were seated about 20 minutes later. Our server, I believe her name was Amanda, was prompt and served everyone with great timing. It looked like she also had some tables out on the patio so props to her for the incredible service! I was surprised by the "egg-cellence" of Wild Eggs, where I had brunch with my colleagues on our last day in Indy for company meeting week. I'm not "egg-aggerating" (ok I'll stop) when I say that this was the best meal I had in Indy thus far. I believe there are multiple locations, but even for a "chain" restaurant, the wait staff is so incredibly friendly. We had a poor customer service experience at a burger place the night before, so the genuine smiles and care for our experience were refreshing. After perusing the "egg-tensive" (seriously, I can't stop) menu, I debated between regular French toast and stuffed French toast. Our waitress raved about the stuffed French toast and totally sold me and a few others on it. I'm SO glad we ordered this because I was in heaven. My boyfriend tells me about the best French toast he's ever had in Italy, and I don't even know how it can compare to what I had at Wild Eggs. We all enjoyed time at this restaurant with a 50s dinner feel. If I lived in Indy, I would definitely take out-of-town friends here and visit at least once a month to get a shake or try other items off their breakfast menu. Plenty of parking and seating.
