French toast, bacon, and grits
Ed G.

Today I ordered the classic French toast with applewood smoked bacon and stone ground grits. Right off the bat service was good. The waitress could've been a little more attentive to wait for refill on my drink. The French toast is good just a bit on the dry side, maybe needed more butter on my part. The grits were warm not really piping hot. The bacon was cooked and grilled to perfection. Really not busy in the dining room, but the dining room is decorated really nicely and very welcoming for small groups or large groups and families.

Omelette was fluffy and perfectly made. Tasty, as well. With nicely cooked grits and a muffin: $13.99 plus tax.. $15.99 plus tip . Not pleasant eating a 'breakfast' at that cost, no matter how well prepared. Sign of the times, so eating out less.

I came here for breakfast with friends and this place never disappoints. We had excellent and quick service. It's so bright and clean and this restaurant has plenty of space so it's not too loud. I ordered the Surfer Girl and can't wait to go back for my next meal. They also have some sort of reward program so make sure to sign up.

Oh, wow. This spot is a must if you like breakfast. They have many locations but on this day i dined here. Oh, and to my delight their menu was wonderful. So many unique options. I tried the loco Hash! Omg when I tell yall it was amazing, it was amazing! All the Math was mathing and I could taste every ingredient. A Carnita breakfast hash with queso, pico, jalapeños, and guac. Yes ma'am with your choice of 2 eggs any style. I opted for over medium they were perfect. I did my happy dance all the way through the meal! Shoutout to Antonio our server he was quite the server. Nice, attentive and the food A1! Yes, duh I'll be back tomorrow for that hash togo!!!!! Only thing I was missing is tortilla!

Western Omelette. #MyCameraEatsFirst

In town for the April, 2024 eclipse, we decided to head to Wild Eggs for breakfast. We've been to several in the Louisville area before so it was a known commodity and it was a short walk from our hotel. We were seated immediately (it was a Monday, so it wasn't packed) and sat quite a while before we were greeted (they appeared to be somewhat short staffed). No matter, because we were with our best friends from Albuquerque. A couple cups of coffee later and we ordered our meals. I'm a big fan of Wild Eggs' Western Omelet, so that was an easy choice for me. Food delivery was a bit long (about 20 minutes), but was delivered mostly hot. My toast wasn't warm enough to melt butter. The staff that was there was hustling taking care of tables and getting food. Because they appeared to be a little light on personnel tables were left for a while after emptied. It's odd to visit a Wild Eggs that isn't slammed. They can be very loud and hectic (I don't know that that they've ever heard of acoustic tiles), so this visit was surprisingly NOT loud and hectic. That was a nice change. It was a pleasant enough visit, especially given we were there with our best friends. If we find ourselves in Carmel we'll definitely stop in again.

Stopped by Wild Eggs after visiting AAA next door, and the brunch itself was definitely the highlight of my morning. The vibe inside was warm and welcoming, and my waitress was incredibly friendly and on top of things. Food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully put together. Portions were generous without feeling overdone, and the menu had a nice mix of brunch classics and fun twists. The parking was packed, tight, and felt like everyone was circling at the same time just hoping someone would pull out. Not the easiest first impression. But once you're inside, the service and food make up for the chaos outside. Efficient: Yes First-Time Friendliness: No Would I Return: Yes JY review

Cafe Mocha! (With almond milk)
Ruth Shandale T.

Kyle and the hostess were super awesome. Went in for a quick bite and in serious need of some caffeinated chocolate. The mocha was great l! The cook put his foot in that French Toast (no powdered sugar). One slice was all I needed to get me to my next appointment. Very chill and quiet besides the music. It wasn't at all loud like some places but loud enough to where I didn't feel like I needed to scream over it for conversation or strain to listen. The playlist threw me a bit. Older songs that are classics. Now that I'm older and I understand the lyrics, they definitely hold a different meaning! I enjoyed my rushed morning coffee. Thanks again to the staff. They were super considerate that I was having a mom-errand-day.

Shakshuka

Spacious restaurant with plenty of seating and it's great that they take reservations. The server was very attentive and had great suggestions. I love that they have gluten free options. I got the shakshuka. It was well-presented but I do wish they'd have served it with more goat cheese or feta and some parsley. Would definitely try this place again.

Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict

We came around 10am on Sunday and there was no wait! We tried the mimosas and got the flavored orange-pineapple... it tasted like a regular mimosa. I wasn't getting any pineapple but they were still good. I got the Kalamity Kate's Border Benedict, which was fantastic. I loved the everything muffin, as well. Service was great! We'll definitely be back

When we arrived, the place was empty. We weren't even sure that they were open until we saw the kitchen staff behind the line. Upon entering, I saw a kiosk where you can place your order, but a woman emerged from the back to take our orders. Being that we weren't familiar with the menu, I told her that the kiosk might be easier. She insisted that it wasn't, and as I went on, I realized the same. The kiosk states that there is a $1.25 charge for the sauce on the side, but she explained that it comes with one sauce free of charge and additional sauces cost extra. We placed our order with her: A small Italian salad to share, the Fatty B calzone with the spicy marinara sauce and the Hot Mother Clucker calzone with the chipotle garlic ranch. We ordered them with the suggested sauces but also order the regular marinara and the garlic sauces on the side. We were given glasses for water (self-serve from the soda fountain) and also ordered a bottled beer and canned cider. By the time we were done ordering, a line had formed. The store was understaffed, which was explained to us later, so we had to exercise patience. We didn't receive our beverages until after the calzones were delivered. Before that, we received our rather large, small salad. It was more than enough for two people. The woman had explained to us that it comes with 4 cups of lettuce plus the toppings. That information helped us make our decision to share. The space is large and we noticed cornhole boards to be used on the patio. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went, otherwise we would have played. The calzones were good and filling. Neither of us finished ours and had food to enjoy at home later that evening. The Hot Mother Clucker isn't very pizza-esque, but dipping it into marinara sort of brought it back into the fold. The suggested chipotle garlic ranch was a better pairing indeed. The salad bowl/plate is oddly shaped, which caused toppings to being spilling off the sides. When it was brought to our table, the woman tried saving the toppings by wedging them between the order slip and her fingers and dumping them back onto our plate. I stopped her. I wasn't trying to be rude, but I don't want to eat food that a stranger's hands have touched. I explained this to her. She tried to assure us that she washes her hands constantly throughout the day, but she'd just come over from the register without a handwashing break. Just let the toppings fall where they may! Let's keep it hygienic.

No Label at The Table Food Company, Carmel, Indiana…read more A gluten-free, dairy-free bakery and food company staffed by people on the autism spectrum No Label at The Table isn't just a bakery. It's a quietly revolutionary act of love that happens to make extraordinary food. The story begins with a mother and her son, "Chef J," who was diagnosed with autism in 2000. When he turned eighteen and announced he wanted to be a chef, his family didn't laugh it off for long. They recognized what so many employers miss, which is that the very traits associated with autism, such as an exceptional palate, meticulous attention to detail, and a love of process-driven work, are strengths in a kitchen rather than liabilities. Rather than let her son be relegated to a dishwashing role that would waste his potential, his mom wrote a business plan, talked her way into the Carmel Farmer's Market, and built a real company around his dream. What makes this place remarkable is that it solved two problems at once. It gave Chef J meaningful work where he is the boss and executive chef running his own kitchen, and it created that same dignity for others. By their March 2018 grand opening, they employed 13 people on the autism spectrum, with employees who've gone on to build the company's website and others who've left to head off to college. They didn't just hire for charity. They built a workplace where neurodivergent employees are valued for exactly who they are. The name says it all, because there are no labels at this table. And the food delivers. Everything is genuinely gluten-free and dairy-free, not an afterthought but the foundation, since Chef J has eaten this way since he was a toddler, back when almost no one knew what "gluten free" even meant. The daily menu is mouthwatering and ambitious: German chocolate cakes, apple danish, snickerdoodle and red velvet cupcakes, whoopie pies with marshmallow meringue, English muffins, garlic breadsticks, fresh bread loaves, s'more bars, brownies, and more, rotating fresh each day. People with dietary restrictions often resign themselves to mediocre substitutes. Here, the allergen-friendly baking is the whole point, and the quality shows. The philosophy behind it is the real heart of the business. As the founder puts it, work should make you feel needed and important, and that need gives you a feeling that you are important. For someone on the spectrum, she explains, work has to be enjoyable, otherwise it's just another tedious task in a world that doesn't always make sense. That conviction is baked into every product they sell. **If you're in Carmel, go. Order online if you're not.** You'll get genuinely delicious gluten-free, dairy-free treats, and you'll be backing a family that turned "hope and hustle" into dignified, life-changing employment for an entire community of people the rest of the world too often overlooks. This is what a business with a soul looks like. Five stars, without hesitation. Location: 111 W Main St, Suite 145, Carmel IN 46033. Tue to Fri 10am to 6pm, Sat 10am to 4pm. No sauce necessary. I tried the teriyaki but it wasn't to my liking and the wings don't require anything extra. They are perfection straight outta the kitchen as served on butcher paper.
