Went to Wild Days with friends last night. We made an indoor reservation however when we got there they said you can sit outside even though the heaters are broken because they moved the outdoor reservations inside. We pushed and said we did not plan on sitting outside in the cold, so after waiting 20 minutes finally got seated. Then, ordered food and drinks. 20 minutes later, our food came out before our drinks and while we ordered 4 chicken bowls, they only brought 3? The waiter was not apologetic for forgetting to put in one of the meals, and I had to sit waiting for another 15 minutes for the food. The service was just so slow the entire night, I would not recommend it. read more

Went here for my gf's bday and really enjoyed it! We were looking for a nice cozy rooftop to hang out at and this place was perfect. I loved the botanical decor throughout the venue, and the crowd was made up of young professionals like ourselves just hanging out and conversing after a long day of work in the city. HH runs from 4-6pm on mon-fri and we went with the season white and red wines, which were about $8 each. As it got later into the evening, they brought the retractable roof out and turned on heaters to keep everyone seated outside warm. So let me start off by saying that this place gets 5 stars for ambiance and the view-- where it really fell apart for me was with the service. From the beginning, our server had kind of a gruff demeanor and didn't make us feel welcome-- she asked us for our orders and left (I don't think she even introduced herself or welcomed us which was weird for such an upscale place). Throughout the course of the night, she consistently forgot to bring drinks we had ordered, and, to my and my friends' horror, had been keeping our credit cards for the tabs in her POCKET the whole night. We know this because at one point she walked back to the bar after taking an order and several credit cards fell on the ground behind her. A friend of mine got her attention and we handed her the cards back, but one of the cards that she dropped was mine and I didn't feel comfortable with how casual she was with holding onto/dropping a bunch of credit cards where anyone could have picked them up and stolen them. At this point, she was also slurring her words when taking our orders, so that didn't inspire a lot of confidence and perhaps explained why we didn't get several of our drinks. After that, I immediately closed out to guarantee I'd get my credit card back, and started going to the bar for my drinks. Gorgeous space, awesome view, but really disappointing service. My review is for the rooftop happy hour. I stopped by here on yesterday to catch-up with one of my friends. I was a little lost at first with where to go. I did see staff but they didn't direct me to where the elevators were for the rooftop. I had to call my friend and get assistance from her to find out where to go. [While looking for the elevators I did notice the office spaces and they did look spacious inviting for a co-working.] When I got off the elevator I was greeted by the host and found my friend sitting inside. Service was a little slow for it not to be overwhelmingly packed with guests. We ordered rose and the daily punch. The rose didn't have bubbles, which was strange because it was sparking. The daily punch was ok. Now on to the infamously, recommended tacos. I hate to sound so stereotypical but my gosh the chicken tacos needed some seasoning on them. The chicken was VERY dry. The savior for them was sriracha because without it there was no life in these tacos whatsoever. The marriage of my requested sriracha and the smidgen of chipotle mayo came together to form a better bond. Also, the pickled ginger snaps that came on the chicken tacos didn't add a lick of flavor. I think maybe it was garnish but I asked for it to be placed on the side instead. Overall, I can see this being an ok place to maybe pregame or if you are just wanting a last minute rooftop without a major crowd (Tuesday nights) this could work for you. I have been here many times and thoroughly enjoyed myself. However, today has been very disappointing and I have only been here for 15 minutes. First, my friend had a reservation for a party of 10+. We were told that they would not honor more than one credit card at the table; HOWEVER, when some went to the bar and was directed to ONLY pay at the table . One of our friends came with her drink from the bar and sat it on the table. She had the same drink, at the same level, as another friend but in a larger glass. We brought it to the attention of the server who changed out the smaller glass for a larger glass. When the manager came to the table addressing the issue, he defended the bar decision. He debated that "it's already a heavy pour" and "it's more than should be expected". Even when we indicated it was the same pour in different size glasses, he appeared dismissive in our concerns. It has been a very disrespectful experience and will make me think twice recommending my friends to come here again. read more

My first time experiencing the DC night life and my first stop was Wild Days rooftop bar. Not only did we wait about 13 min to get a drink, but the two bartenders working completely ignored my sisters. Even when another patron straight up told the bartender (gentleman with the hat) that they were there fist, he then looked at them and then went on to the gentleman next to her who had just moved up to the bar. I went to Wild Days with some friends last night. I liked the views and the ambience. The DJ was playing some of my favorite throwback songs from the early 2000's which is my kind of vibe. However, I didn't like the food/drinks and the service. I ordered a chicken bowl which I thought was overpriced ($19), it was almost inedible. I didn't even finish half of it because the chicken was too hard for me to chew. I also ordered a drink which I thought was overpriced ($16) and it was sloppily made. I didn't even finish half of the drink because it was nasty and bitter. It tasted like faucet water mixed with some cheap alcohol. Our server seemed like she was in a bad mood. She seemed annoyed with us. I'm not sure if I'll be back again or not, but I would NOT come here for the food or drinks. read more

The ambience of this place is great! However our server was quite odd and didn't provide great service. Our food took extremely long for tacos. We checked in with waitress after probably about 40 minutes and she informed us that another wait staff accidentally gave our tacos to another table and that they were now out of flour tortillas and asked if we were okay with corn tortillas (we agreed that was fine). About 5 mins later tacos arrive in flour tortillas. The tacos were comped by the manager as they took so long but unfortunately the chicken tacos were not good. I drowned them in hot salsa. My friend got the short rib tacos which she said were good so go for those! Good customer service, need to work on chicken tacos and waiting service. read more

What a beautiful rooftop bar area. I believe there are some kinks to work out with table reservations and the timeliness or live music performances. Live music was scheduled to begin at 10 and didn't start until about midnight, but we stuck around and had a really great experience. The lighting and seating set a very intimate ambiance. The vibe is classy and upscale. There is a nice size area outside with a large fire pit and great views of DC. This is an amazing place for an evening out. read more

Came here with a friend late one night looking for some drinks. This place is relatively new so figured we would give it a go. Immediately upon walking in, there was a pretty cool scene.... some people hanging at the bar, some at tables, some wandering. The bartender (i think his name was Kyle) was a young guy but made a hell of an old fashioned and made some negroni style cocktails for us. Super knowledgeable and made great recommendations (including on mezcal). After, one of the servers (I don't remember her name but she was from Mongolia) was so nice and gave us all sorts of recommendations on the menu. This review is for the club on a Saturday night for a friends bachelorette party. Overall not my usual vibe but that's on me for not having better sense that the music would be more rap and hip hop than house. Our party started off on a sour note with a rude security girl manning the elevators to get up to the roof, but once we were settled in the management and the table servers were really lovely and accommodating. They turned the evening around and it was a fun night! Kudos to the folks upstairs for being so nice. This is definitely a fashionable and rowdy scene on a Saturday eve. WOW. I can't speak more positively about this establishment. We spent about four hours here with Stephen as our server. The drinks are all made to perfection (price range $12-16, which is to be expected for downtown). They have wonderful natural lighting complemented by a plant friendly aesthetic. To top off our amazing food and drinks, we enjoyed an energetic live band set that performs every sunday. We were very disappointed, we went in a large group, the drinks were horrible, shots seemed like juice, the DJ was not taking any song requests, overall a bad decision to spend lot of money on drinks and the night. We eventually ended up going to a different lounge. I am sure we will not go back. The bathrooms were horrible as well, no soap refills, overall a run down place I would not recommend if you want to have fun. read more

I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. I popped in with my mom on a random Saturday afternoon and we were pleasantly surprised to find live music and a few open tables outside. I'm willing to give this place a chance since it's new, but I have to say the service was VERY slow. Some of my girlfriends and I came up last Wednesday night, and I have to say, WHOA! The service was fantastic. We had no wait time and the bartenders and servers were on point, polite, and efficient. The managers Terrence and Terese were there to answer any questions we had, without hesitation. Terese offered her business card to me for any future inquiries. One of the most amazing rooftop places in all of DC. Spectacular views combined with such a cozy environment and beautiful decor of plants, makes this my favorite spot for drinks anytime. I've visited wild days twice and had a different experience each time. The bar itself is on the roof of the Eaton Hotel and it's a really hip spot. There's a nice outdoor area but also a cool inside space many tables and a stage. The ambiance is cool with vibrant mood lighting and a great music selection. The first time I visited was a Wednesday evening around 8pm and my friend and I sat at a table inside because the roof was pretty packed. I'm glad we did, however, because soon enough there was a live jazz band that started playing music. It was a fun spot to enjoy the show with a good cocktail. The second time I visited was around 10pm on a Saturday night. This time the stage transformed into a dance floor and more people were hanging out/walking around the bar area. It was actually pretty hard to get a drink at the bar and my friend and I had to wait quite a while before we were helped. I guess that's to be expected on a crowded night, though. read more

I came here last night with a group of friends. I ordered a glass of wine and the beef tacos where were AMAZING! We snagged the table outside next to the fire which may have been a mistake. We ordered HH drinks with our server who returned about 10 minutes later with our drinks then disappeared. Seriously. We waited 35 minutes for her to return so we could order food and had to ask a manager to get her for us. When we tried to order another round drink she told us that HH was over. This was after she neglected the table. She ended up speaking with the bar and was able to get us another round which I appreciate. About 30 minutes later she brought the check and rushed us out of our table because another group had a reservation by the fire. The service was awful! To top things off there was an issue with my bill that the manager handled for me with little urgency. It was as if he was doing me a favor. Come eat here but maybe skip the table service and grab a seat at the bar. read more

We also picked this place because they had an interesting "s'mores service," but it turns out that this is only available to the one table that's near the fire pit. I spent a weekend at his hotel. Very hungry, I stopped to get a bite to eat at Wild Days. It was busy, but not unbearable. I had the Impossible burger (vegan) with chili, beans and cheese. My server Samantha was amazing and took great care of us. They have specialty drinks on their menu, I had the Golden Barley; which was equally as awesome as the burger. The burger and drink paired well together. The managers checked on us to make sure everything was great. I've been to Wild Days several times since they've opened and they are one of my favorite bars in the city. Aside from the scenic rooftop, the staff is very nice and the drink selection is great. While waiting for availability at Allegory last night, the hostess suggested we check out the rooftop bar upstairs, Wild Days. My friends and I had never been, but we were immediately impressed with the space! It was absolutely beautiful and featured a large mosaic, hanging succulents, and a fire pit on the terrace. The cocktails were great. I had the Plug on Oaxaca, and it was delicious, well balanced, and smokey. My only complaints would be that the music, though excellent, was very very loud, which made conversation difficult, and on our way down we got stuck in the elevator. We rang the alarm several times, but because the music was so loud no one could hear us, and we were stuck there for 20 minutes. Eventually, I called the front desk, and they sent someone to let us out. The staff wasn't particularly apologetic, and it definitely put a damper on our evening. Wanted to love this place, but not sure we'll be going back after our experience. read more

Unbelievable rude staff and snobby atmosphere for no reason. I'm a young professional in my thirties and I ordered two glasses of wine for my friend and I. I thought the bartender was done pouring the glasses, so I picked them up. He snapped at me very loudly with a tremendous attitude scolding me for doing so. Unknown to me he had been grabbing another bottle to top us off. This was nice of him and I had no idea because the glasses looked full. He was rude and nasty in his demeanor and made me feel like utter shit and garbage. I apologized and he was just in a horrible mood. I get being a bartender sucks but don't take out a bad day on customers who didn't know any better. Also, when we tried to order food at table, the waitress said, let me go to host and see if we can get you a server. Psh, you are the server! Sorry but this place doesn't have their customer service figured out just yet. It might be a hot spot but that doesn't mean the waiters and bartenders need to think they are better than everyone else. I have worked myself in the service industry for years and I am bewildered when I see people who survive on tips treat customers like trash. It also pains me to write this review but I felt like I had to say something so management can know. I valued my time as a waitress for 5 years and I learned a lot. I would never treat people like they were inferior. Most of the staff at this establishment needs etiquette school. read more
