I have found that many other pet suppliers have a pretty dismal selection of cat toys, while offering plenty for dogs. Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop in and check this place out. They have a lot to choose from. I don't know if they carry every type of cat food, but the selection was far more extensive than I expected. On this visit, though, I was mostly interested in toys. I found exactly what I was looking for. In fact, they had four different versions of tunnels for Stu to crawl through. I ended up buying one with a very unique design. Definitely a place I would stop by again.

My puppy had been eating Fromm, and their website said Bentley's was a location that sold it near me. So off I went to Bentley's. The store is located within the new Drexel Town Square location and is easy to get to. It's not very large inside, but they have a nice variety of items ranging from toys to leashes and food to treats. My first time here I bought a new leash and scouted out the pet food prices. They are cheaper here in the store than they are online at other retailers which is nice to see. The ladies who work here seem to genuinely care about pets and are easy to talk to. I signed up for the customer loyalty program and was told after I so many bags of Fromm food I'd get one free. After I registered I also was given a welcome treat bag for my puppy for being a new loyalty member. It included a treat, several sample sizes of dog food, and a coupon for 20% off a non-perishable item. I also noticed they were running a special through the end of January where you'd get a discount on food and treats if you bought more than one at a time. I'll be watching for more sales in my email since I signed up for their emails for the next time we need something. I'll be coming back here for more items for my puppy as she grows.

We've adopted over 8 birds…read moreover the years and their requests for safety, size of cages and clear expectations prior to adoption are always reasonable. A good portion of these birds come from breeders who sell to anyone and they end up surrendered here for their safety and care because people don't do the proper things to protect these birds from further distress. Many other surrenders are the result of aging owners who cannot care for them anymore , people who dump them for various reasons and those owners who have passed away. Potential adoptees who are refused are refused because of non compliance with adoption standards or have history of not demonstrating proper veterinary care. Without the dedicated work of this Center and the dedicated operators, and its volunteers, many birds would be in danger or abused. Keep up the great work !!

I was in need of help for an injured heron in my yard. I called Wildlife in Need Center and had to…read moreleave a message. I was assuming it would be a long time, if ever, that I was called back. To my surprise it was prompt and I instructed on the correct next steps, including to bring the bird in for care if possible. They did not have anyone available to make the transport so I did it myself, gladly. They were efficient and accepted the bird quickly and with obvious interest in helping it be rehabbed and hopefully returned to nature. If they can't do that they will find a place in education or local support for the bird to live out its life. I gladly left a donation to help cover the costs of my bird's treatment. When we were leaving we saw a rescued turtle being given fresh air by a volunteer, and even watched a baby squirrel being fed. Not all animals can be taken to the Center, and a phone call is important before just showing up. They showed great compassion and knowledge and I felt really hopeful that they can help my bird recover well. If this is not possible, I am comfortable knowing they will have done their best and made sure the bird, and all animals in their care are treated humanely in all ways.

I've been here on many occasions and rarely leave without something to bring home to one of my three aquariums and/or our backyard pond. They have a vast array of freshwater aquarium fish, snails etc, as well as salt water, and fish for outdoor ponds (you'll make your way out the back door for this). They have pond plants, aquarium plants, rocks, driftwood, and more. Pretty much everything you might need for your set up or to get set up, they have. They are well staffed and their staff is incredibly knowledgeable. If you're unsure what you're looking for, or having an issue with your aquarium that has left you flummoxed, they can definitely help you through it. One of my favorite things is they have all their plants well labeled (beginner, intermediate, advanced), so you know which ones might require special lighting or co2. This is so helpful to ensure your aquarium is thriving. The only thing I'll mention is their fish prices are a little higher than some of the other aquarium spots in town. It's nice, because they're a one stop shop with everything you need. But, something to be aware of. Big fan of this spot! Get to it!

I will say- Most of the time the customer service is excellent, but sometimes that isn't the case. There have been instances where they make you feel like you're bothersome. (However, I do understand how hard customer service is!) They usually have shop pups that great you when you come in! Obviously a pet friendly place. They have nail trimming events and other fun events, like pool jumping contests for the pups in the summer.
