Time #2, I walked in for pick up and the owner was screaming in the back so the desk person ran back to warn her someone was there. Time #3 (shame on me), I walk in for pick up and owner is screaming like a banshee SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP over & over @ my dog who was anxious and crying for me. I was furious. I got him out of there as fast as I could then called her. Got the voicemail and left a strongly worded message. From what I witnessed, this woman has zero business being around animals. What happens that we don't see? It hurt my heart that my sweet boy endured that and more from some woman who I entrusted with his care and safety. Please don't go here. I hate talking bad about ppl, but this was really bad. She was screaming in a way most humans would never want to do, let alone want anyone to witness. I felt like a horrible dog mom having left him alone there for two hours. Never again.

His cut was very nice and he smelled great afterward. He was apparently nervous since it was his first visit but she told me he did well overall and that he will calm down as they get to know each other. Will definitely be back.

We needed a place for our French Bulldog during the day so he wasn't alone in the hotel room while we were out sightseeing. Dogtopia was happy to have him! I called on Monday morning and made an appointment for the same day to have him evaluated to see if he would fit in to an open daycare environment. While he was being evaluated, we got a tour of the facilities. Very impressive! The place legit smells clean and does not smell like there are any dogs there. They have an excellent filtration system, messes are cleaned up immediately, and everything is cleaned really good at the end of the day. Floors are soft for the dogs feet. The outdoor area has special dog grass. Small dogs are separated from the larger dogs. The dogs are in an open play environment and play both inside and outside. There are webcams so you can watch your doggie play all day if you like. There is about a two hour period where each dog goes into his own suite for rest time. There is a window right in the front when you come in where you can watch the dogs playing and they look like they are having a good time! They have overnight accommodations as well. They will even give your dogs medications if needed. A doggie spa is available if your dog needs a bath or groom. The owner, his dad, and all the staff are really nice and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving my dog here for the day. Highly recommend!

FOR A SAFE KENNEL EXPERIENCE GO ANYWHERE ELSE!…read more I'm usually very hesitant to write bad reviews about businesses as my industry is largely influenced by online reputation. However, my experience was so bad with this kennel that I wanted to get the word out to other pet owners. When you first drive up to the place, you see how run down it looks. There are boards over some of the windows and a leaking A/C unit right in the front. I can definitely get past the look of a place, so we brought our 6 month old puppy inside for a stay. The smell was horrendous. I have been to many kennels in my life and have come to expect a pet smell, but this was very clearly urine and feces. One good thing about this place is the lady behind the kennel clearly loves animals. She was very excited to meet our pup. But, after petting him, she began to give us lessons on how to train him and said "you will learn this as you get experience with kennels". She was very rude and acted like we were bad dog parents for kneeling down to pet our dog goodbye... We were informed of the 30 minute pick-up window on Sundays (8PM-8:30PM) before we dropped our dog off, and reluctantly agreed because we didn't want to pay for another day. When we were back in town on Sunday, I called to see if we could pick up our dog at 7:45PM instead of 8PM and was told that "ringing the doorbell before 8PM makes the dogs potty in their kennels." She also informed me that 8PM was the LAST TIME that the dogs were let out to go to the bathroom for the night... Our dog was there for one night, and we provided enough food for 3 days easily. The food was completely gone by Sunday! And, the woman said that she had to feed him some other food because we didn't leave enough. We did not gave her permission to do this before hand, as our dog had been having food sensitivity issues, but she did it anyways. When she brought our dog out, he did not have his collar on. His collar had his tags with contact info and his rabies tag. I can't imagine what would have happened to our pup if he had gotten out of this run down kennel. A loose dog on a busy street (107th) with no collar or tags would never survive. She again began to reprimand me for kneeling down to greet my dog. I paid and got him out of there as soon as I could. He was so nervous and anxious that he flinched away from me when i went to pet him. My dog loves everyone and has never shown behavior like that at other kennels. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG HERE! Waste of money and bad for the pups. They are only let out 4 times a day, 4 hours apart. Terrible experience.

I was shown 2 rooms at first with a room for smaller dogs and another room for larger dogs. There was one other room empty except for one dog supposedly being trained I think. All 3 rooms appeared to be the same size. I observed about 30-35 dogs in each room barking nonstop so crowded with no room to run or play. I like to compare it like a can of sardines. It was stated that there were 2 workers in each room to monitor the dogs, but, I only saw one worker in the larger dog room cleaning the floor with no monitoring at all. This is not my idea of an enjoyable experience for any dog. This place is raking in the money and little attention to the happiness and welfare for dogs. I was very alarmed at what I saw.

Between taking care of my grandma, my mom, and a new puppy, I was overwhelmed. I started sending Oliver to Lake Country Dog to give him some attention and to give me a bit of a break while I tended to the other people in my life. My mom has been out of treatment for a year, and my grandmother passed away last August, so I don't have a need to send Oliver to Lake Country Dog for daycare.
