The entire building radiates positivity and it's very apparent that this is directly impacting all of the pups who are lucky enough to attend day care/stay and plays. All of this on top of CB Sussex's commitment to animal welfare, rescue, and pups in need is why they are top notch. We needed a place for our French Bulldog during the day so he wasn't alone in the hotel room while we were out sightseeing. Dogtopia was happy to have him! I called on Monday morning and made an appointment for the same day to have him evaluated to see if he would fit in to an open daycare environment. While he was being evaluated, we got a tour of the facilities. Very impressive! The place legit smells clean and does not smell like there are any dogs there. They have an excellent filtration system, messes are cleaned up immediately, and everything is cleaned really good at the end of the day. Floors are soft for the dogs feet. The outdoor area has special dog grass. Small dogs are separated from the larger dogs. The dogs are in an open play environment and play both inside and outside. There are webcams so you can watch your doggie play all day if you like. There is about a two hour period where each dog goes into his own suite for rest time. There is a window right in the front when you come in where you can watch the dogs playing and they look like they are having a good time! They have overnight accommodations as well. They will even give your dogs medications if needed. A doggie spa is available if your dog needs a bath or groom. The owner, his dad, and all the staff are really nice and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving my dog here for the day. Highly recommend!

In our case we brought our own food, and asked for a mid-day nap for our pups to be put back into their room together. My dog is 60 lbs and my sister's dog is 13 lbs, so they spend the days with their own size friends but giving them a break together mid-day was good for them. We got pictures regularly which is always a nice way to relax on vacation. When we picked up our pups they were exhausted, as expected. Both were ready to go home, but we felt sure that they had been well cared for every day. Paying for extras is worth it for our peace of mind, and knowing our dog's daily schedule is different but some parts are the same lets us feel like we have done the best we can when we have to board them. The bath required on the last day is helpful, but my dog's ears were highly matted and I had to cut out the knots when I got him home. I understand that this was from his activities with other dogs, but I also had to remember that the bath is not a groom, just a cleaning. I had planned a full groom for my pup shortly after we got home. Thank you to Ben for being so good with the dogs. I believe everyone here does their best to treat the dogs with kindness and we are already feeling good about planning our next trip, knowing we have a good option for boarding with confidence.

I want to start by saying I've been bringing my dogs to this clinic for over nine years and have…read morenever had a negative experience or questioned the costs--until today. This visit was simply a follow‑up for blood work. The technician asked if there were any issues (there were none) and whether I needed to see the doctor. I said not unless the doctor needed to see me. He then took my dog to the back for the blood draw. At checkout, I was told I had seen the doctor and had blood work done. I explained that I had not seen the doctor, and it took several minutes for that incorrect charge to be removed. I then paid the remaining $174. When I reviewed my bill, I noticed a $64 Technician/Assistant Fee, a $25 blood collection fee, and the actual testing fee. When I asked what the Technician Fee covered, I was told it was for taking my dog's leash, walking her to the back, drawing her blood, and bringing her back. This is an outrageous charge. I even asked what the cost would have been to actually see the doctor for the follow‑up, and I was told it would have been $79. At this point, it seems it would be more cost‑effective to "waste the doctor's time" for an extra $15 rather than pay a $64 fee for a technician to walk my dog to the back and draw blood. At this rate, will humans next be charged an additional fee for a nurse simply to escort them for routine blood work? In nine years of coming here, I've never experienced anything like this, and I'm extremely disappointed. It may be time to start shopping for a new vet clinic or at least compare how other clinics structure their fees.
