We love Dogtopia. They just opened about five months ago so everything is brand new. We were visiting friends and were only here for a week. We needed a place for our French Bulldog during the day so he wasn't alone in the hotel room while we were out sightseeing. Dogtopia was happy to have him! I called on Monday morning and made an appointment for the same day to have him evaluated to see if he would fit in to an open daycare environment. While he was being evaluated, we got a tour of the facilities. Very impressive! The place legit smells clean and does not smell like there are any dogs there. They have an excellent filtration system, messes are cleaned up immediately, and everything is cleaned really good at the end of the day. Floors are soft for the dogs feet. The outdoor area has special dog grass. Small dogs are separated from the larger dogs. The dogs are in an open play environment and play both inside and outside. There are webcams so you can watch your doggie play all day if you like. There is about a two hour period where each dog goes into his own suite for rest time. There is a window right in the front when you come in where you can watch the dogs playing and they look like they are having a good time! They have overnight accommodations as well. They will even give your dogs medications if needed. A doggie spa is available if your dog needs a bath or groom. The owner, his dad, and all the staff are really nice and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving my dog here for the day. Highly recommend! read more

This business is shady , they refuse to send courtesy calls for any appointments, even grooming appointments that are made months in advance-- what business can't be bothered to remind their clients?? Then they will blame you when you miss the appt they will name call you "irresponsible" over the phone and charge your card on file. Not a nice business at all. They like to hide bad reviews on google and other review sites. My dog was there for boarding. I scheduled a bath for the day of pickup. It was moved to the day before without asking or telling me. Kind of pointless to do to the day before when she will still end up coming home smelling like pee in that case. I sent an email requesting it be moved back. With no response after 4 days, I cancelled the appointment. It was only when I called saying I was picking up a day early that I was offered a bath on the day of pick up if I picked up at noon instead of in the morning, which was never previously relayed to me. She was ready prior to noon the day of pick up. I watched an employee hit my dog on live stream. When my mom called to talk about it with management, she was told the employee only swatted at a group of dogs. I saw this incident while watching the live stream. My dog was by herself in the back left corner with this employee, not in a group of dogs, so this is a lie. Moments later the employee is seen yelling at my dog for rubbing her face on the ground, something many of the other dogs do as well but my dog had been doing excessively that day, however not a behavioral or safety issue. When my mom asked to review the footage, they advised that was against corporate policy. How can you be allowed to watch live streams but not be allowed to watch an incident you saw with your own eyes back? So that staff can cover up their lies? At other points throughout my dog's stay I saw my dog being mounted by various dogs without an employee ever stepping in. My dog was at one point grabbed by the collar by another dog and jerked around like a chew toy, singled out and attacked by the same dog days later, but she was the one that was put away instead of the dog trying to bite her. I saw on the live stream that an employee must have found something on my dog's front arm - as she is petting my dog, she looks at my dog's arm closely and then rubs one particular spot like one would if they found a mystery scab on a dog. The day I brought her home, on the same front arm, in the same spot, she had a large scab, and a puncture wound through her ear on the same side. No employee ever mentioned this to me at any point during her stay or during pickup, even though they are supposed to check the dogs prior to turning over for pick up. My mom had even called at one point concerned because it looked like one of the dogs was biting at my dog's face and the dog was continuously mounting my dog. My mom was told "that's just how he likes to get dogs to play", however they're all aware my dog is very timid and mild mannered and there was very clear body language from her via the cameras that she wanted to be left alone by this dog but the dog was allowed to continue to harass her for hours until we called. The provided bedding I gave for boarding was never washed even though they state it will be. Way too many dogs in one room for only one person to be able to pay attention to them all. Spent a large portion of my vacation checking in on my dog as I saw worrying behavior from staff and other dogs there. I even asked if I could schedule another day for her to see if they even would let me based on how she got on while she was there and they told me I needed to do it through the app. Didn't even bother. The report card I got from staff implied there were no issues with my dog's behavior or appetite. One of the "friends" listed on her report card was a dog that attacked her. My dog has 6 days left on a package that they will not refund even though I would never trust most of these people with my dog ever again and she will not be returning. After I sent this information to Dogtopia, my account was deactivated and my dog's profile was deleted by the staff, not by my request and without my consent. Do not take your dogs here. It is very obvious they are trying to cover up wrongdoings on their part by not even checking my dog for injuries or letting me know, staff abusing my dog (and probably others), and refusing to refund our money for these reasons. read more

What a great find!!! We came to Wisconsin for spring break.... ok stop laughing lol.. well our Frenchi was having an issue barking in the hotel room so we started the search... we found this on google since it was not registered on yelp yet..(that has been corrected by my loving wife) the reviews were really good... and when it comes to our baby, we are very protective.. so we called Dogtopia in hopes that they could help us out and provide Duke a great day like his owners. Well the reviews were not wrong, we met the owners father the first day, and it was a great experience from the first day. We filled out the paperwork and took the 30 minute tour.. at the same time they were evaluating good old Duke.. they said he did great and would be a good fit for doggy day camp. Now I will preface this by saying we did bring his shot records and made sure his shots were up to date before we left.. so everything went extremely smooth enrolling him... I really love the fact that the whole week( except nap time) we could watch him on the cameras.... and man do the dogs get a good work out lol, poor Duke has been exhausted every day!!! I highly recommend this place for all your dog sitting/ kennel needs... you can really see the love for the animals in both the owner and his dad... Keep up the great work and continue to always take care of your customers and their babies!! read more

Zero stars. My previous poor rating stands. The owner desperately attempts to defend his actions (or really non-actions). My golden is my family and I love him dearly. I have been taking my dogs to Dogtopia in Pewaukee since they opened their doors in 2018 and had a very positive experience up until an incident that happened in mid-March 2021. I was boarding my two dogs for the weekend and had logged into the doggy cam to watch the evening ritual of feeding and putting the dogs to bed. While I was watching, I saw the young man who was putting the dogs into their sleeping suites start taunting one of my dogs through the glass door of his suite. I'm guessing this happened because my dog was barking a lot and it was annoying. The man then proceeded to open the door to my dogs suite, entered the suite and then his leg kicked out. Because of the angle of the camera, it was difficult to see but it appeared that he had kicked my dog. The whole thing was extremely upsetting, and I immediately started calling and emailing because I wanted to go pick my dogs up and they were closing for the night. Fortunately, the last woman there agreed to stay late and let me come and pick up my dogs. The owner of Dogtopia was very responsive in contacting me immediately, which I appreciated. The owner did acknowledge that mistakes were made and that he agreed that the young man's behavior was inappropriate. But things went downhill after that, as I was told they believed the young man had not kicked my dog, but went into the suite and "stomped" at him. At that point I made the request to review the doggy cam recording, and after the owner contacted their corporate office, I was told that they would not allow me to review the video even together with them at their facility. It appears that I'll never be able to see the video and have resolution on whether my dog was kicked or stomped at, but it honestly doesn't matter as both of those two scenarios show aggressive behavior towards my dog. I then asked what steps were being taken (some type of consequence, additional training, patience techniques, etc...) with the employee to ensure that nothing like this happened again, and there appeared to be no plan or intent to take any additional steps. Unfortunately, my trust has been broken because of this situation and the way it was handled by Dogtopia, therefore I can no longer recommend them. read more

I decided to try day care at Dogtopia on the referral from a friend and my impressive tour of the facility. I sent my 2yo chocolate lab two days in a row and the next week she developed a severe case of Kennel Cough even though she had been vaccinated. My vet told me she knew Dogtopia had an outbreak. I am disappointed and will stick with my other daycare from now on. read more

I've been coming to Dogtopia since my doodle was a puppy. The staff was great at explaining what they offer, touring the space, and understanding that one particular room was the best fit for my puppy starting off. After a number of months she "graduated" to a more high energy room that fit her play style. Fast forward 3 years and we are still happy loyal customers. Scout usually goes 1-2 times per week depending on my work schedule. I love using the app to request appointments or grooming, and to access the webcam feature through the app. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming and very timely with email responses/app requests. With Covid they've switched to offering curbside service, which is nice on cold Wisconsin mornings! I would recommend Dogtopia of Pewaukee. read more

Absolutely LOVE Dogtopia. I went from working at home to working in the office. I wanted a daycare for my 6 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell to go too a few days a week. I hit the jackpot when I found Dogtopia. My pup knows when we turn on Rockwood Dr. he's going to days & barks in excitement. Staff know us by name. They even recognize my car when I pull in & (if free) greet us at the door or immediately go to get him, if I'm picking him up. They even have treats for their kids birthday. Awesome facility with great handlers. They take fantastic care of our puppy. It's great being able to check in on them via the webcams. It's always nice to have a tuckered out puppy at night. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We love this Dogtopia location. We have used them both for doggie day care and for boarding. The staff is warm, welcoming, and friendly. They are so accommodating. It feels like family when you walk in. The establishment is clean. I love the webcams so we can check in on our pup from time to time. When we pull in the parking lot my dog cannot wait to get out of the car. We feel so blessed to be a part of the Dogtopia family! read more
