This is a nice enough facility, but you do NOT get your money's worth…read more I brought in my sheepdog who has unique more wirey hair, but doesn't shed enough to take care of herself; she needs grooming about twice a year to clean her up. I brought her in and told them I wanted her to get a complete summer cut. I specified trimming up her face so she could see (long beard and eyebrows), shaving down her privates, thinning out her entire coat, and trimming her belly/legs/chest. I also specifically said NOT to tear out her ear hairs, to trim them instead. It took four hours, and when I picked her up I could see her face! I loved seeing her feet all shaped nicely and her nails trimmed, so I paid the $100 and took her home. When I got home and was able to look at her, I realized that her face and feet were the only thing that they listened to me on. There was dried blood in her ears showing they absolutely did rip out her hair against my direction. Yes her butt was shaved, and her face was trimmed, but the rest of her was quite literally untouched. I had to wing it in my backyard with household scissors just to get her hair down to a reasonable length. I will NOT be returning, this amount of work was worth $40 at most.

The owner has always been rough around the edges but today took the cake. Due to an error with scheduling on his part our two dogs were 20 minutes late for their scheduled appointment. When my wife asked if he could still take our senior dog (15+ yrs old) since he was already sedated, he swore, said he didn't have time, then walked out of the shop towards his car. We had two dogs scheduled to be groomed but he claimed he didn't have time to take one of them when we were only 20 minutes late? He handled this situation extremely unprofessionally, didn't offer to reschedule, then he walked away while swearing under his breath. I will not return with my current or any future pets.

Think emotionally scarring a dog is impossible? Think again!…read more These people SHAVED our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, despite explicit instructions to keep their fur long. I'm not sure what the groomers did to them, but they were so traumatized they were shaking. When they got home they kept barking at nothing, and looked so frightened. They weren't back to normal for months. We went there many times before this, and had mediocre experiences. But this was beyond mortifying. I can't believe groomers could treat our dogs like that, let alone how they treated my mother. The groomers refused to refund our money, and said horrifying things to my mother. She was in tears after their conversation. It was a heinous experience. Edit: In response to the owner, that's simply untrue. They were groomed 6 WEEKS before, and while they were matted, it certainly didn't warrant shaving them down to their skin. But even if that were true, the way you treated my mother, yelling at her, and treating her like an animal(or how you clearly treat animals..), is beyond reproach.

My sister already reviewed this place, but I have to reiterate her sentiments…read more As Joy P. noted, my family had used this groomer more than once. We had never been thrilled, but there was one groomer we liked who was mysteriously fired the day before we brought our dogs in. My mother was VERY specific with what she wanted--keep their fur long, let her know if there are any problems. Not only did they ignore her instructions and SHAVE all three of our dogs, but THEY CHARGED HER EXTRA for "detangling mats," which was ridiculous, because obviously they didn't do any such thing, they just shaved them off. They pressured my mom to pay before she saw the dogs (which she did, never imagining they would have gone against her explicit instructions). She was shocked when she saw them, to the point of tears. The people at "Pampered Pup" had the audacity to defend what they did, and didn't offer her any kind of refund. Rude. Completely inept. And, beyond all that, our dogs now shake and whine any time they fear they may be taken to the groomers. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have brought my dogs to Roni for many years, even coming up from IL before I moved to Wisconsin, and the drive was shorter. To know my dog is treated gently, kindly, and groomed so well is a gift. To have all this at a very reasonable price is wonderful! Simply put, I am scheduled out for the whole year because the schedule fills up quickly when you have a good groomer. And you get a 10% discount on the store purchases on the day of a grooming. My dog knows he gets a great treat as soon as he is in the car. The store is really well stocked, but you won't find junk pet food. The quality is on the higher end, and I don't see any foods or treats that I would not be glad to serve my dog. The bakery is fun, and they also take special requests. If you are looking for a good groomer, get on the schedule, but be patient. They are busy, but once you get started, book ahead. One other nice note is that Petlicious supports the local food pantries, and the Food Pantry of Waukesha County is very grateful for the donations of pet food for their clients.
