Sweet Rusti!
Lindi Z.

Pretty Paws is always so accommodating and I can always make an appointment that is convenient for me. They do a great job bathing, clipping nails and cleaning the ears of my dog. She always leaves with a darling bandana and is squeaky clean and smelling good.

Armani got the "Boo" look! Was very happy with the service could not ask for anything more! And he got a free bandana!

I was refereed to this groomer by my two different friends. I took Armani our pomeranian in who we adopted as a rescue who was living as a stray for some time. So our puppy had developed some bad habits and would snip and bite if we petted him the wrong way. (Because of his matts) The groomers were very patient and took their time with Armani. They made sure to get all of his matts out with out rushing to make sure he would not be uncomfortable. I also had a picture of how I wanted my dog to look and was able to send the groomer the picture (via text message) and he was able to replicate that exact look. The owner is very nice and she was explaining to me what kind of brushes that I would need along with tips on how to deal with my dogs guarding issues. It says a lot when you can tell some one cares. I would strongly recommend my friends & family

Going To The Dogs

My memories of living in Wisconsin aren't wonderful-- filled with stories of the bitter cold,…read morefrustratingly slow drivers (come on people), and general lack of good shopping locales; but Going to the Dogs is a definite bright spot of my brief time there. I was referred to GTTD by a friend who has been a patron for years, and apparently the owner/groomer has been in business for years at various locations around town. While my stint in the upper mid-west wasn't long, I really liked how Doris, the owner, took care of my pet. The shop is relatively clean, comparatively, and all the dogs are groomed out in the open. I liked that aspect especially because I'm always trepidatious about sending my little baby to a new groomer-- the horror of my imagination has only been enhanced by picking up a shaking and scared dog in the past. This never happened at GTTD, which I suspect was because you can watch your pet if you so choose-- a kind of transparency that I can only wonder at why no one else is doing this! The prices are more than fair and coming from Florida, I would even say cheap. There are always cute little accessories to purchase, again at prices unimaginably inexpensive that I question how this company makes money. If I had one critique, it's that the hours are not as long as some other shops I've been to, and the appointments go quickly. So get to GTTD right away, before your appointment goes to the (other) dogs.

This salon recently changed ownership and now goes by the name Loki Dog Grooming. (named after…read moretheir resident poodle Loki). They kept the same address and phone number. I have dealt with other groomers who were booked 2-3 months out, however, I have never had a problem getting into here with a week period. Prices are very reasonable. I usually take Teddy, a maltese/bichon mix for a full grooming and haircut and take Ruby, a short hair terrier/chihuahua mix just for nail clippings, The staff always remember my dogs and the dogs seem to not mind going

And you see them struggle with a new situation. But after their first visit, you see them become more comfortable with their paws being touched and ears being looked at. And after a few more visits, they love their groomer and happily trot back with them! It's fantastic to see our dogs each learn to trust the experience and the groomer. To me, it means that when I'm away and they're being groomed, each dog has been treated with respect and handled with care. My dogs have all been large, and if they didn't want to go back with the groomer, they'd let you know my refusing to budge. Erin has handled our poofy Great Pyrenees and his immense coat with the same detail and expertise that she has given to our sleek Black Lab mix who has anxiety and dry skin. We also have a Komondor mix that she has helped with since he was a puppy ; helping to keep his nails, ears, and sanitary areas tidy while I do the work of creating his cords at home. They have been so understanding about his unique coat and we couldn't be happier! I appreciate their expertise and will keep going for all our needs!
