We've been taking our tiny, frail 13-year-old toy poodle to these guys for a haircut and a bath about 3 times a year for the past 5 years. Scheduling has ALWAYS been friendly and easy, the work has ALWAYS been quick, the cost has ALWAYS been fair and consistent (~$50 including tip), and most importantly-- our old pup has always come out happy, refreshed, clean, and dapper. Worth every penny, because this is a task we have tried and failed many times to accomplish ourselves at home. I recommend them without hesitation.
A few relevant details:
Firstly, while I agree with Nicole H's positive review, I have to point out that the owner's names are Aaron and April Lynch, and yes they are the only one's running the show. They are NOT brother and sister, at least I hope to god they aren't, because they are happily married and actually just had their first child this past Fall 2014. Congrats guys.
Second, I have to emphasize their quality of service and care. On two occasions, our dog was brought in with fleas (Without our prior knowledge). Aaron and April gave him a flea-bath, a nice close cut, and did not punish us via billing, despite our mistake requiring them to shop-vac every inch of their shop and even cancel appointments. Maybe this is why they always remember us and our dog, but I have a feeling they make a point to remember everyone regardless. Unfortunately, our elderly dog has developed some pretty bad cataracts, to the point where he is almost completely blind--bumping into furniture and needing to be carried up and down stairs, etc. When I mentioned this to April on our last visit, she reassured me they have dealt with dogs w/ cataracts before, and will take extra care to make him feel comfortable during his cut. He came out this last time just as happy, and just as clean, and I trust her when she says they took care of him. These are examples of GREAT SERVICE, and it's why we never call anybody else.
Maybe stop focusing so much on their phone etiquette and make the damn appointment before you rate and review the quality of their dog grooming business. Though I have NEVER had a bad phone experience, perhaps you called on the day my dog brought a surprise flea army to their shop? Fact is, they do a great job with dog care, and I could care less how they handle people care.
