This was our first time needing to use a boarding facility. Our rescue dog was just becoming acclimated to our home, and I was so nervous to have him stay someplace new. When we took a tour of Skydance in Douseman, I knew they were genuinely compassionate and kind people. They answered all my questions and the facilities were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I felt like it was a home away from home in a beautiful setting in the kettle moraine forest. When I dropped my boy off for his 9 day stay, I was greeted with kindness and they were very thorough to make sure they had all the information they needed to make his stay comfy. The caregivers were so sweet and patient with me every time I called to check in with them. I found it very comforting to know the caregivers are well educated and trained in CPR. They are also very diligent to appropriately match dogs together for play time so they are with personalities and sizes that are safe. I highly recommend this incredible place to anyone looking for great care for their furry family member. They go above and beyond and treated my dog as a member of their family. Do not bring your dogs to the Dousman facility! We have a 2 year old French bulldog and a 10 year old French bulldog and had 2 negative experiences with this boarding facility. We boarded our dogs there for a week in June and they were supposed to receive a bath before pick up. The boarding facility sent them home with both of their backsides covered in diarrhea. I questioned bringing them back, but decided to give it another shot, which was a terrible mistake. We recently boarded them both for a week (total bill over $1000) and I let the staff know that both dogs have some level of anxiety about boarding at drop off. Again, we asked for the bath, nail trim as part of the boarding package. My 20 year old daughter picked up the dogs and upon bringing them home, she called to tell me our 10 year old had a dramatic limp and was not willing to move or get out of bed. Upon further inspection, we noticed that he had licked his front paws raw and his nails appeared to be clipped down to quick. None of this was communicated at pick up. His feet were so bad he refused to walk and I had to take him to the vet. I called the Dousman facility and was transferred to the manager and explained the situation to her through tears. How did they not notice this throughout the week? She said she was going to discuss with staff and their director would be in touch to remedy the situation. That was 3 days ago and I haven't heard anything. This place is advertised as an upscale crate free facility, but obviously they are not taking care of the dogs as advertised. We are very grateful for the friendly staff at SkyDance, as they have been very patient with our dog, Finley, and have loved him since day one. They did not give up on him when he was merely a scared rescue from Alabama. Through slow introductions, they helped him grow into the confident social butterfly he was meant to be! We also use, and LOVE, the grooming services. The prices are great, there are discounts for repeat customers, and our pup has the option to play at day care after his appointment is over. I could not imagine taking our dog anywhere else. read more

I cannot say enough good things about SkyDance in Dousman! We bring our 1 1/2 year-old rescue pittie there for play time and training to help her with some pretty intense behavior issues, and both Bob and Isabelle are absolutely phenomenal with Misty! Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful, and it honestly feels as if I'm dropping her off at a woodsy resort each time I leave her for the day. Misty absolutely LOVES going out there and can hardly contain her excitement when we pull into the parking lot. I haven't boarded any of our dogs for many, many years due to a bad situation somewhere else, but we will most definitely be boarding Misty later this year at SkyDance when we go away for a week. Original complaint: "Completely unacceptable. I reserved a week of boarding for my dog over a month ago and was told everything was set. All my information was taken, my meet and greet session for my dog and the facility was scheduled and completed, I called today to see if I could add an extra day to his stay and they told me I do not have a reservation and never did. I was put on the wait list and WAS NEVER TOLD. I was told everything was ready to go for his stay and it would be no problem. I am livid. If I didn't call to inquire about an extra day I would never have known and I would've shown up for the appointment the day I leave for my trip completely SOL. I was told "Oh, I'm sorry there was confusion" by the facility. There was no confusion, you didn't do your job correctly and it isn't ok. Won't use this facility every again due to their unreliable nature. Not ok. Please double and triple check you have an ACTUAL reservation before bringing your pet in so you won't be left high and dry like I am!" read more

I have always been very happy with Skydance. Yes, it is expensive but we call it doggy Disney at our house. It's a very long drive from where I live but worth it especially with long vacations. Exercise, socialization and safety are top priorities. We've also had our pup groomed perfectly. read more

It's a family owned business feel with a high end feel. They always take good care of my dog and the one time we did have a Nyla bone forgotten when we picked up they covered the cost and mailed us a new one. You can tell they put a lot of work into making their customers happy. I won't take my dog anywhere else. read more

Both of their locations are great, clean and have such friendly/professional staff members. I added on a grooming appointment for both of my dogs while they were boarding at the New Berlin location and they came home smelling great, felt amazing, and overall was very impressed with the services my pups got while they were there! I had my two dogs stay here for about 3-4 days while my family went to Vegas. We lodged our German shepherd and dachshund together, while there they told me the price and I was fine with it but when we got back they charged me an extra $200. We ended up paying almost $800 just to board our dogs, ridiculously overpriced, not worth it. Won't go back here again. read more

SkyDance consistently takes phenomenal care of all of our pets, but what really stands out about them is how much they care about their clients. While staying at SkyDance, our chronically ill dog was having issues and SkyDance called us right away to let us know what was going on and let us decide that he needed to be hospitalized. They took him to the vet hospital and waited there with him while testing was being done. They were great in communicating with us throughout the whole process and also gave our other dog, who was staying there, extra attention. I truly appreciate all that the wonderful staff at SkyDance have done to support us through a difficult time. They are a wonderful place to entrust your pets while you are away and you can have peace of mind knowing they will take excellent care of your fur babies. read more

This is an incredible resort-style pet boarding facility. As a registered veterinary nurse I have a pretty high standard for where I'll leave my dogs and this place blew me away! They let me drop in any time to take a tour of their facility and it is very clean and was fairly quiet when I stopped in. I love that you can add "frills" like snacks, nature walks, etc., or just stick with the basics. I also appreciate that their mid-level boarding includes a free bath before you pick up your dogs. You can have your dog socialize if you want them to or not if you don't want them to, and it is great that they will allow my bonded pair to stay in a room together. The second time they stayed there the staff remembered my dogs and the (many) medications they take, and called me to verify when one of my dogs medications had been changed by her vet. These people pay attention to detail and are extremely professional and friendly. HIGHLY recommend! read more

I am extremely disappointed. I received a coupon in the mail from them for a 50% off a grooming. I thought this would be a great way to start my dogs with a groomer near by my house. I was very wrong. When I picked up my dogs they told me they were awesome and behaved so well. "Got an A on their report card." After inspecting them, my husky was still covered in mats, that I asked them to remove. I found 3 large ticks on her and her face smelled. She was still wet and had black grease on her hind legs. To top matters off my other dog had ticks on him as well. To bathe and groom a dog, you must actually put your hands on them, which clearly was not done! So disappointed and will not be returning or recommending to anyone! read more

I will not be bringing my dog back to this place that's for certain. I had shown them a picture of how I wanted my Yorkie shire to look and I have to say the end result was the complete opposite. On top of having to cut some of the uneven hairs when I got home my dog also smelt like some old ladys perfume bottle was dumped on him. His hair still looked oily like he was just sprayed with the worst smelling dry shampoo ever. For $55 for my small dog this is not what I was expecting! Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

The staff was quick and friendly, and did not just rush away with Kensie, but actually took the time for her to get comfortable before walking away from me.
