Extremely disappointing customer service -- I would not recommend this location…read more I've generally had okay experiences with the staff at Pet Supplies Plus in Glendale, which makes what happened yesterday even more disappointing. I came in to purchase two expensive harnesses for my Border Collies because we'll be traveling and needed a specific brand. I had already looked into the available sizes, but my dogs fall between the standard size categories. I spent approximately an hour in the store trying different options and asked three different staff members for help. I was advised that it was fine if the straps were a little loose, so I trusted their guidance and purchased the harnesses. When I got home, I checked the manufacturer's official website and contacted their customer support to confirm that the harnesses would be safe to use. I was advised that they were not the correct fit and that I should return to the store to exchange them for smaller sizes. The employee who initially assisted me during the return was pleasant, but she explained that she couldn't process an even exchange because I had used a coupon and the harnesses were now priced differently. I asked whether a refund might be possible instead. She contacted the manager, who arrived with a very unwelcoming attitude. He insisted that the coupon could not be honored because the transaction had to be treated as an exchange. I explained that had I received the correct sizing advice in the first place, I would have used the coupon toward the appropriate harnesses. We're talking about approximately $120 worth of merchandise, and I was simply trying to get the correct, safe equipment for my dogs. The manager then became confrontational and told me, "You should know how to measure your own dogs." I pointed out that helping customers choose the right products is part of the service we expect when shopping in a specialty store. Instead of trying to find a reasonable solution, he slammed the cash register, threw a $5 bill toward us, and walked away after sarcastically saying, "You have a good one." I have never experienced this kind of treatment from a store manager. I understand that stores have policies regarding coupons and returns, but policies should not be an excuse for disrespectful behavior, especially when customers have relied on staff advice and are trying to correct a purchase made in good faith. The manager introduced himself as Jeff, although I cannot independently confirm his identity. This experience has completely changed my opinion of this location. I went in looking for professional advice and left feeling dismissed and disrespected. I would strongly encourage other pet owners to double-check product sizing directly with the manufacturer rather than relying solely on the advice provided here. I certainly won't be in a hurry to return.

The good people here filled the prescription quickly and I was able to pick up immediately. This pet pharmacy compounds their own medications and can make them in a variety of forms (liquid, pill) and add flavors to make administering much easier for pet owners. Sasha was recently diagnosed with TCC (transitional cell carcinoma) and must have a special prescription that had filled here. I am confident with the staff's knowledge and resources, that they will continue to provide excellent service for as long as I need to obtain my peanut's special medicine. When a vet calls/faxes in a prescription, a staff member will call first to verify and inform you of the price. I am unaware of what market prices are for the medications I have gotten filled, but I do know that Clavomax was MUCH cheaper here than through the vet office (like 1/3 or less the cost). The only issue I have encountered is the hours - they are only open 10a-5:30pm Monday through Thursday, and Friday until 4pm. With my work schedule, it can be difficult getting there before they close to pick up my pup's Rx. Of course, my baby comes 1st so I will do what it takes to get there!

If you see a posting for a job at this place. DON'T APPLY!…read more They pay decent but they mess up your checks, health insurance through them once employed is over the top expensive. Once you're in and doing the job it's not that bad. The only thing bad about the job itself is the clients being incredibly rude and you literally get screamed at either on the phone or in person. Now, let's get to the staff. Some are nice, some are two faced. One of the customer service reps walks around like she's a manager when she in no way shape or form has the title. But, speaking of managers. Lets talk about the head pharmacist who doesn't like to deal with client complaints, and talks down to you because you did all you could before trying to get her involved, and when you got her involved in said client/customer complaint she doesn't want to deal with it. Oh, and don't expect her to be at her desk located in the compounding area, she likes to hide away in her office and barely help the other pharmacists. Her attitude is very rude and passive as well. It seems like most of the staff come and go as they please, show up whenever they want and blame it on their children. But when YOU bring up personal life issues happening outside of work that you either have called in for or need to leave early for its okay at the time, but when in reality it's not. The company is backwards and quickly going down hill now that optio took over. Anyone who reads this review can clearly tell I'm a former employee who was done wrong and dirty. My advice, don't get your compound medication for your pet at this pharmacy. Go through Chewy or another source. They are over priced and honestly don't care about your pets health. ‍

I've been here on many occasions and rarely leave without something to bring home to one of my three aquariums and/or our backyard pond. They have a vast array of freshwater aquarium fish, snails etc, as well as salt water, and fish for outdoor ponds (you'll make your way out the back door for this). They have pond plants, aquarium plants, rocks, driftwood, and more. Pretty much everything you might need for your set up or to get set up, they have. They are well staffed and their staff is incredibly knowledgeable. If you're unsure what you're looking for, or having an issue with your aquarium that has left you flummoxed, they can definitely help you through it. One of my favorite things is they have all their plants well labeled (beginner, intermediate, advanced), so you know which ones might require special lighting or co2. This is so helpful to ensure your aquarium is thriving. The only thing I'll mention is their fish prices are a little higher than some of the other aquarium spots in town. It's nice, because they're a one stop shop with everything you need. But, something to be aware of. Big fan of this spot! Get to it!
