This is my Go To Pet Store! Not only is the staff very helpful and friendly, but they carry everything my doggie loves: Dr. Marty's food, Bocce treats, and last but not least, the No Hide Rawhide Chews. I love that they also help out local shelters and animal charities. That rates high in my book! My doggo always gets treats when she comes in and we always find what we need. Over the years, things haven't always been great at the Glendale Pet Supplies Plus location, with spotty service the norm. However, there has been a marked improvement over the past year or two here. I'm not sure what changed, but the staff is far more friendly and attentive, greeting you when you enter the store, and the pickup service was pretty close to perfect. They are one of the only retailers that sells the brand of dog food my pooch prefers--NutriSource--and they regularly have sales on the varieties we tend to purchase as well. I do wish the store was a bit larger and brighter to allow for a greater variety of items, especially since that's the new standard set by the Mequon store, but that's really the only quibble I have with PSP Glendale as of late. This is a great store. I believe it is privately owned or franchised, but whatever, the employees run it like a family business. I ve gone there for years, and observed employees mature from eager teens to management. They offer delivery free but encourage modest tip...which is totally fair..as well as store pickup. Store parking lot pretty convenient near BayShore mall. Selection is excellent for cat and bird food....cant speak for dog or other animals, but know they have some reptile stuff. There are coupons and random sales; a reward program really works, converting points into cash discounts. OH...also can set up auto ships, with some further discounts. read more

Ohh wee! I've been going to this Pet Supplies Plus location for years. Tonight I stopped in with my new PUPPY and every single staff member loved her, gave her attention, was excited to see her and wanted to know all about her. I love it when people love your dog almost as much as you do. This was a good socializing opportunity for my little pup. Staff here clearly love animals and the customer service is great. I was multi-tasking so much managing my dog in the store that I checked in on Yelp once we got back into the car after shopping. Ohh yes! There is a 10% coupon on Yelp for checking in. Score! I popped back in the store and the staff were happy to help with applying the coupon and providing an adjusted price and refund the difference. There is a nice selection here. Right now there are a lot of Halloween themed things like toys, squeaky stuffed animals, novelty shirts and a small selection of costumes. read more

This is my go-to location for all my pet needs--they have a good selection, helpful employees, and great customer service. I find that they often have decent sales, too, especially if you join their free rewards program. Occasionally, they have free samples so you can try new products. Also, I think it's cool that they choose a different local charity each month to collect pet supplies for (donation bin is located by the front). Staff will help carry out your purchases if you wish to have assistance. All in all, a solid location. read more

What a delight to find this shop near our Trader Joe's bi-weekly wine stop! Our allergy-riddled dog has been eating Nature's Variety Instinct dog food, which mostly we can only find at Petco, until we found this store. The store was clean and the staff was very helpful, and the food was on special the day we were in just for signing up for their shoppers card. My dog eats a brand of food not carried by discount stores so I shop here often. They always have exactly what I need, but I feel a lot of items (especially toys and treats) are overpriced relative to Wal-Mart/Target/Farm&Fleet (or Fleet Farm). However, I generally don't have time to shop around for pet supplies so this is a decent one-stop shop. It kind of feels like they can justify the mark up due to the convenience and lack of competition in the area. Personally, I'd rather just spend the extra couple $ on an item than waste time and money on gas driving up to Brown Deer or Menomonee Falls... The associates are always friendly and helpful, +1 star for excellent customer service. I often go here when I'm crunched for time and just need to pick up dog food, and I have always had a fast and efficient experience at the check-out. I do miss the fish and little critters they use to have in the back of the store. I always find enjoyment taking a few moments to stare at the fish before heading back out into the crazy world. read more

Ordered 2 bags of chews back when there was only curb side pickup in April. I asked for the thin dog chews. Got home and they were the thick ones. Opened 1 bag and my dog rejected them. Went back today with the unopened bag, bought $80. worth of dog food and treats and tried to return the unopened bag of chews as they never expire but was told its past the 30 day return policy. Wow! Awesome customer service. You will not find employee's like this at Petsmart. The employees that work here *really* have knowledge on pet food. Our dog was so itchy and we couldn't figure out why and the vet suggested switching foods. If you have an animal, you know how frustrating it is to read all the labels and make sure it is 1.) something that your pet should be eating 2.) something you pet will like. The more you switch foods, the harder it is on their digestive systems. Even if you do it slow, it is still a pain in the neck to go through all the hassle of reading tons of labels. Anyway, the girl that helped me really knew her stuff and educated me on food (I am embarrassed to say I was feeding my dog Science Diet before I got educated on food....no judgment if that is what you are feeding your animal but mine was having problems). It was suggested she go on a grain-free, chicken free based diet....I was already thinking cha-ching cha-ching....but the girl that helped was really good at finding something in my price range with a frequent buyer program! I also have my cats on Fromm now, which is a local company located in Mequon. They are doing really well on that food now too! I am so happy I live so close to this store! read more

I usually just go here to get the extra large Tubs-O-Litter for my two cats who just lounge around and poop all day (get a job you hippies!) Each time I go here I'm reminded of two things: 1) Seems like many of their products are overpriced compared to other pet supply stores, and 2) They can get away with it because many of the patrons here are pants-on-head crazy. Seriously, they're everywhere. If you need to go in just don't make eye contact until you get up to the register. Otherwise you'll be greeted with, "My doggy/fishy/kitty-cat is the best and he only eats this special food hurrrrrrrr!" Maybe its just when I go there, which is usually Saturday afternoon. The store's lighting is a bit drab and they love to move merchandise around a lot. The employees are friendly though and they will help you out with your questions - and believe me, you will hear some doozies while waiting in line to check out. As stated before, there are other pet stores that have better prices, but around this area this is the only one you'll find. read more

When we pull into the parking lot she gets so excited and can't jump out of the car quick enough :) The staff is always approachable and helpful, knowledgeable about products, and treats your pets like their own. They have a large variety of brands and carry the higher quality dog foods that you can't find at the larger chain pet stores. We use Nutri Source and they participate in the frequent buyer program...11th bag free! They also email you frequent coupons and specials. The store is large enough with a nice variety of food, treats, crates, clothes, toys, leashes, pet hygiene products, they really have it all. There's a large private parking lot, and open almost every day making this a super convenient location. I have decided that I like this store. Great selection of pet supplies and friendly and attentive staff. They even have the frozen blood worms needed to feed my stingray! 1 star deduction because of the crappy parking lot and the fact that the frozen bloodworms share a fridge with frozen mice and other nasties. **Bought a dog toy that my pup ripped to shreds within a half hour...
