I beg you to try it if you have not... most people don't know they even have it, but luckily, for my coworker and I, Director of Operations Matt, walked up to us as we dined in last Wednesday and let us sample the Green Chile. As most of you know, I can't hang when it comes to spicy foods, but this chile is THE EXCEPTION (even though it's only "mildly" spicy). We each ordered the 2 meat plate, but we were so appreciative of the sample he gave us, otherwise we would never have known about it. We ended up ordering 2 burritos for our lunch the very next day!! You can also add cheese to it! I went in again for the 3rd day in a row on Friday, since I'm not sure when I'll work in that area again (I was 10 min away all last week)!! I asked my boss if I could work there on Mondays and Fridays, that's how good this burrito is!! They also have a MEAN Pecan Pie. It's called Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie and it too, is a must try item! Matt told us it's a secret recipe from one of their employees and the crusts are hand pressed daily. Using a machine is just NOT the same, and I believe it! I had forgotten to ask for the Banana Pudding I ordered on Wednesday when we dined in. I called as I drove home, realizing I left without it. Amanda was super friendly when she answered the phone and assured me I would have it when I came the next day. Mark delivered and had it in my bag the next day when I picked up our burritos. Service with a smile is what you'll get here! You cannot go wrong no matter what you order here! The meats are absolutely perfect and the flavor profile on everything is mind-blowing! Do yourself a favor and ask for the Green Chile anything next time you're here. Tell them I sent you! Don't sleep on the Banana Pudding or Bekke's Smoked Pecan Pie, either. Something about that smoking process makes the pie stand out from every other pecan pie you've ever tasted, trust me. It's also NOT super sweet like you're probably used to. If you call in, you can't place an order by phone, so do it online and you'll get a text with an estimated time of pick up. You can skip the line inside, too. Just walk up to the pick up window and you're good to go when you ring the little doorbell. There is plenty of parking outside and they even have a large patio space should you choose to dine outside. Comfortable, sorta on the dark side. Classy. As I was not driving today, I decided to try their smoked Old Fashioned. Excellent -- and the dark cherries they use are the perfect addition to the cocktail. (The glass is coated with smoke from a smoldering piece of pecan wood, and the cocktail was served with a cloud of smoke under a coaster covering the glass.) The pig sickles ( ribs) were the perfect chance to make a pig of myself. Had the two meat plate, pig sickles and barbecued pulled chicken, If you like corn, you must have the side of corn with your dinner. The barbecue beans were delicious. Our server did a magnificent job tending to our drinks, appetizer, and food orders -- despite being very busy (the place was packed! -- and seemed like she was in constant motion.
