Toasted corn muffin
Nella B.

Decided to order breakfast in the office the other morning we got a variety of bagels, egg sandwiches and wraps, and I had a toasted corn muffin with butter and jelly. By far one of the best I have had, it was the perfect muffin as for the bagels delicious will DEF be ordering more from here

Bagel prices here are a little steep but I get it- inflation. I was really craving a breakfast sandwich a few weeks back and decided to come here for a sausage and egg on whole wheat everything bagel. The bagel was fine and the sandwich itself was pretty decent. I would come back to try their cream cheeses!

Service is way too inconsistent. Specially with the way the food comes out. The people at the phone/counter just don't care/ aren't trained properly

I was unsure what to order so I went with your standard lightly toasted plain bagel with a smear of cream cheese and a hazelnut iced coffee, light and sweet. By the time I got around to eating the bagel it was hard. The iced coffee was heavenly. It was everything I needed then some.

Oof reading all these reviews who've had issues with service - I've been here three times and I haven't encountered a problem beyond it being a bit too crowded for Covid-19 standards and bit of a wait time since it's pretty busy. In terms of bagels, I'm in love with the super flavorful and delicious egg everything bagel. Just the best. I've also tried the regular everything bagel and it's good but not as good as the other. Onion bagel is very strong (smell wise). Bagels are huge, cheap, and actually still chewy and fluffy one day after purchasing! Bagel with flavored cream cheese will cost you around $5 Lox Cream Cheese: been obsessed with lox cream cheese on bagels lately. By itself, the cream cheese is fluffy and very creamy. However, they do skimp on the lox, it's been diced to tiny pieces and you don't taste much of it. You can also buy their flavors by weight Bacon Cheddar Cream Cheese With Sausage: this one has small pieces of bacon and chopped cheddar mixed into the cream cheese. For some reason, I was expecting just an orangey smoother consistency blend of the three ingredients. I added a sausage patty to make it a more filling sandwich but shockingly, they served me a cold patty. Took it home to the trusty microwave, and in seconds, I was eating a hot breakfast sandwich where the cheddar and cream cheese were a lot more meltier and it was perfection. But seriously why you no toast my bagel/meat

Best bagels ever. Today I ordered sesame bagel with cream cheese (not toasted because the were fresh) best sandwiches, and service. I'm not sure what their putting in the coffee but I drive out of the way to get it and I'm never disappointed

Was craving bagels and this place had some great reviews. This place is busy! Ordered a bagel with cream cheese and tomato and a sausage egg and cheese bagel. The bagels are not as chewy and are thinner than other places. They were not bad, but I prefer chewier and thicker bagels.

When you're too lazy to make breakfast, grab and go meals are the best! I decided to try this cute corner bagel shop on a weekday. I ordered online and pickup was a breeze- no wait required. The shop was clean and the workers gave me my order within seconds. I ordered two salmon and cream cheese bagels and for $10.50 each, Ill admit that did expect more. $10.50 can buy me a decent lunchbox in Brooklyn (And even about 8 donuts!!) and I feel that the bagel, with just about 3-4 slices of smoked salmon doesn't cut it. The bagel taste definitely overpowered the salmon/cream cheese flavor. Overall, I don't think that I will be returning here, unless a HUGE craving hits.

What i ordered was french toast and sausage.

There were large egg shells in my sandwich. I couldn't eat it. The bacon was under cooked. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

They also have a varied selection of bagels/spreads, which is great when I feel like having an oatmeal bagel with strawberry cream cheese.

As far as the customer service goes I wish it was a bit better. The staff aren't the most pleasant. No good morning no acknowledgement of comprehending what you order they just walk away and start the order. Which is why I double check always. I do notice they speak more pleasantly to other customers that come in. Not sure if it's a culture thing or could they be discriminatory but it's a bit unsettling. Food: 3.8/5 I only order the poppy seed bagel and that's pretty tasty. Not to doughy although I do have them take out a good portion of the bread because I like it to be extremely thin. Service: 3 /5 Service needs major improvements , language barriers are also a major factor to consider as they do speak Spanish and their primary language. Ambiance: 3/5 Standard & basic bagel shop set up. Standing & waiting area is basic they have counter tops should you want to stand inside and eat nothing fancy. They do have a wide variety of drinks to choose from and coffee and tea.

We wanted to try something different after having explored so many of the typical places in Manhattan and Shelsky's came highly recommended While I was expecting a long wait on a Saturday mid-morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find the establishment with only a few in line before us. Now, I was desperately seeking a very simple belly lox with schmear, but much to my dismay, they didn't have any more belly lox. I was heartbroken and had to figure out a plan B While I pondered, the family quickly ordered a Peter Shelsky, a Great Gatsby, and a Fancy Pants. I crumbled in my panic and jumped in with another Peter Shelsky. We also tried a small amount of whitefish salad and a beet/thyme salad The service was quick and we were able to grab two of the three small tables at the front to enjoy our fare. Soon we were digging in and from the immediate silence, I could tell everyone was enjoying their choices. The bagels were on the smaller side, denser with a firm crust. We did enjoy the bagels, but I could see how someone not familiar with this style may find them too "cardboard-y" I have to say, the pickled herring on the Peter Shelsky was fantastic, but was way too overpowering for the nova and sable. I actually regretted my choice and would order something more sunken next time. (Or get to the store earlier to beat the rush for the darn belly lox!) The beet salad was quite a nice balance to for the bagels adding a bit of brightness. The whitefish salad was solid - a hint of smoke and a creamy puree. Some who prefer a chunkier whitefish salad might find this less than satisfactory, but the flavors were great A cure store, friendly and patient staff, a great first exposure to Brooklyn for the boys. We'll be back (and we want belly lox!!)

It's a pretty spacious bagel spot with ample seating menu's with pricing for all items they sell which is helpful. Food: 3/5 I ordered a jalapeño bagel with turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs. The bagel was okay nothing to rave about your standard bagel. Nothing to make me fave about it. The texture was chewy and a bit doughy if you like your bagels that texture this may be the spot for you. Overall my bagel was about 10-12$ I believe. They charge extra for a rainbow bagel and other specialty bagels like jalapeño. Which is pretty expensive so make sure you're aware of that. Service: 3/5 The customer service was mediocre. The guy at the front wasn't the most pleasant. Very much get you in an out top of place. They weren't rude but not the most cheerful I'd say. Ambiance: 3/5 standers bagel shop nothing really impressive or spectacular. I will say when in the area due to the lack of places to eat that make REAL food.
