Wiki Wiki Market is tucked away across from the main pool area at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu! My husband and I stopped in one of the days we were there to grab a quick breakfast and drinks while lounging around the pool. They offer a ton of bottled and canned beverages, chips and candy. For breakfast, they had pastries like Malasadas, muffins and croissants. They also offered yogurt parfaits, tapioca, oatmeal and different cereals. Breakfast sandwiches and bowls were available as well! I believe they switch out the menu for lunch with sandwiches and snack plates. Shaved Ice is available too! The inside is small, but it is just a quick grab and go market with 1 picnic table to sit at in front of the entrance. Service was fine, nothing special. This Hilton Hawaiian Village location really does come convenient so that you're able enjoy your day without the unnecessary wait to start your day. We were staying at the Hilton and nothing beats a shave ice on a hot Hawaii day at the beach. The market sells a variety of food, snacks, and desserts. I ordered the Shave Ice ($12) and was able to choose up to 4 flavors. We decided to go with vanilla, grape, and mango. They have a total for 8 flavors. We also added condensed milk for an extra $1. I didn't know till after that you can add ice cream underneath. The shave ice was made quick and its more on the larger size which is nice. Definitely big enough for a family of 3. Getting the condensed milk was a nice touch especially if you have a sweet tooth. Grape has always been my favorite flavor and their grape did not disappoint! Cranky lady said something....so I said.."thats fine. I got all the time I need". When it was my turn to order, I asked for shave ice, half coconut and half mango with condensed milk. She heard me right. But, she pointed at the menu right in front of her, pretending she didn't understood me and asked me again what I wanted. So, I asked for exactly same thing. She asked me to pay, so I inserted my credit card and pulled out when ATM machine read "please remove card". Believing the payment went through, I was waiting a response from cranky lady such as receipt, order number etc...but she was sorting receipt papers in front of her, ignoring me. Since she didn't give me any response, I asked for a receipt. She said "you didn't pay yet". So, I told her I already inserted and pulled out my credit card when ATM machine said "please remove card". She complained at me I didn't do it properly. This is when it triggered me so hard and I had to argue with her, saying "what is the problem here". She responded "just forget it", with unpleasant, disgusted face. After payment went through, I picked up my order and went outside because I didn't want to make a scene in front of my 8 yrs old daughter. I am asian too. She is about my mom's age and had considered many times before writing this review. My beloved mom who is in heaven will understand my decision. We stopped here spur of the moment because my sugar was low. I am a diabetic and this resort was massive so I was not paying attention with all the walking I was doing. And I always love an excuse for ice cream! We walk in and it was not super busy. There were some rude customers ahead of us that took up too much time though. We were finally greeted and I requested a scoop of Kona coffee ice cream on a cone. The employee was not bubbly but also was not nasty either. I ordered a scoop of Kona Coffee ice cream on a cone. We were given the cone and were asked if we wanted anything else. That was all so we met at the register. I seem to remember some crazy amount, like $8 for the cone but whatever. We paid and left. Outside, there are a couple of tables and seating so you can sit and enjoy your food. We decided to continue walking around the resort since we just arrived and the store was constantly having traffic. Spent our Hilton room credit here and this place was great to grab a quick bite to eat! In the morning around our hotel, lines are crazy long everywhere. This had the shortest wait for food. It's a grab-n-go kind of market so we ordered and ate in our hotel room. Due to COVID, they only allow a few people in at a time but the line goes by quickly. Once you order give it another ~5 min and you'll be on your way. Food ordered: breakfast bowl ($14) and ham/cheese croissant ($13). They also had coffee, premade sandwiches, and pastries available. The breakfast bowl left something to be desired - the scrambled eggs and tater tots were like the kind served in cafeterias and we didn't ask for extra hot sauce or ketchup so it really couldn't be saved. Save your dollar and order just the croissant - it was buttery and you can't go wrong with a ham/cheese combo. Would I pay for this if I didn't have the credit? Not sure. Price is a bit steep but you're paying to save yourself from that 40min wait at Starbucks! read more
