Hands down, Wiggly Tails Rescue Organization is in my opinion hands down the best rescue organization. They are a nonprofit 501(c) (3) rescue organization that rescues dogs in high kill shelters in California. Laura Green is the best Executive Director and really knows her stuff. I've only interacted with her. On May 13, 2023, I went to PetSmart on Chad drive to a local adoption event that was from 12:00-4:00. I arrived at 10:00 because I really wanted to meet one pup and her name was Cheesecake! When I got there, nobody was there yet from Wiggly Tails and I didn't mind. I waited very patiently and the wait is definitely worth it. A potential adopter was supposed to be there and time kept going by and going by. I told Laura to call or text me if things didn't work out with the other potential adopter I'd come back and meet her or meet her the next day. I'd left at about 3:00 without Cheesecake. I'd gotten about 10 minutes away and had received a text from Laura that read, baby come back!! Oh man, my heart jumped up in my throat. I went back and Laura had told me things didn't work out with the other potential adopter and asked me if I wanted to meet her. She didn't even have to wait for my answer as she probably could hear the excitement in my voice when I called her after her text to me and I'd told her where I was and how long it'd take me to get back there. Cheesecakes foster mom brought her to me and oh my, she absolutely melted my heart and I know now that I melted hers. We both fell in love with each other right then and there. Cheesecake is now Zoë and my toddler fur child. She's Japanese Chin/Pekingese x, to me though she's all my baby girl. I don't know what her life was prior to her rescue, but I know that her foster mom and Laura did an amazing job with her as you'd never know where she came from and you, like myself couldn't imagine why someone would take her to such a place or if she was a stray, you'd never know now. Zoë's 1000% spoiled, just as it should be and she's living her best life thanks to Laura and Wiggly Tails. There is an adoption fee. It takes care of the gas to go down to California to get them and bring them back, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, a free bag of the dog food they're already on, a free extensive veterinary visit(one supported by Wiggly Tails) their second sets of shots, their collar, and or harness and leash, a whole paper from PetSmart with amazing coupons, including grooming. It's amazing to adopt a dog and or animal and I was lucky enough to cross paths with Wiggly Tails as I've adopted the perfect gem Thank you to Laura Green, staff and Wiggly Tails! Three years ago my husband and I decided to adopt a dog. We previously had large dogs but decided that we wanted a smaller one and s started watching ads in the paper. My husband saw a posting for Tinkerbell and we called Wiggly Tails the next day. Tinkerbell is an older dog who had been living in home where she was not cared for. Her foster parents cleaned her up and helped her get ready for her forever home. The minute she came in our front door for our meet and greet, she had our hearts! That was 3 years ago and we couldn't be happier. Tinkerbell. She has become the center of our home. We stay in touch with her foster parents and bring her to Wiggly Tails events. We recently adopted a puppy through Wiggly Tails. We loved the experience and the organization. The fee was high but included all shots, neutering and the first ver visit. And, it seemed comparable to other organizations. We adore our puppy. The person who fostered him clearly did a great job. During the adoption we asked about the red skin around his eye and muzzle. We were assured it was normal. When we took him him to the vet we were told it was a type of mange that a mother passes on to her pups. Of course we let WTDR know so they could pass on the info to other adopters of the litter mates. They gave us no indication that they received our message, no response at all. We have no idea if they even informed the other adopters. Things happen. Puppies get illnesses. We get that. But not responding makes me wary of ever returning there. read more

This is a for profit dog rescue. They will charge you hundreds and hundreds in rehoming fees. Far more than greenhill or any other reputable dog rescue organization with no explanation as to why their fees are 3x mote than the national average. They get free dogs u get the guide of helping and then sell them. They will not disclose if the dogs have a history of biting or mauling and will deny any involvement or responsibility when an incident has happened with one of the violent dogs they negligently place. The women that run this place are typical Karen's that get offended every time their privilege gets even slightly checked by concerned people with bitten children. In their minds they are the Jesus Christ's of dog rescue and anything said against their holy crusade is blasphemy, even when they are shown pics of the chewed up children their negligence has created. Home visit went well or so we thought. Before she left she said to have the money and a letter from our landlords and we'd get our puppy in a few days. Turns out it was just a cruel ruse with the intention to maximize my family's pain when they refuse to adopt to us. Seriously though what is wrong with you Whitney? you gave my five-year-old daughter a beautiful puppy and made her believe that it would be hers and then you cruelly ripped that dream away from her and called us trash. This such a great organization to find a dog for your family. They fairly quick in response time and have a great follow thru after you adopt. The fee is very reasonable considering what is included. All their vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and microchipping. read more

I am not giving this business any stars as a matter of fact I would give them minus 10 Stars due to the fact I recently tried to adopt a puppy from them she is aChihuahua terrier mix her name is Cora I went through meetings with my family home visits everything looked good when they left my home told me to have they're $350 adoption fee and a pet Amendment from my landlord saying that I could have a pet I did everything they asked 2 days before my drop off I get a phone call saying that they're Foster provider did not feel comfortable in my environment and that they would not be adopting Cora do people like me. Not only did they have my hopes and dreams up but they got the hopes of my five year old daughter up only to crush her heart into a puddle of Tears I would not recommend going through this Agency for anything read more

This is NOT a nonprofit, or a charity organization even though they solicit money and goods under the guise of being a dog rescue. They are having a number of FUNDRAISERS such as at the plasma center here in Eugene and one coming up at the Thurston grange hall. I donated some goods before I did some research and found that not only are they a PROFIT business but their fees are completely OUTRAGEOUS! They get mostly smaller animals from agencies so that they can SELL (adoption fees) them at a high profit. Research them online and you will see the fees they charge for boarding animals. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Went to an adoption event. My son fell in love with a puppy. The fact that the people there couldn't even agree on the name of this puppy should have been a hint. Called the next day and we were told he was still available. The puppy had not even been listed on their site yet. We said we wanted him and they said "great!" then silence. For the next several days, my wife tried to contact them each day to figure out how to proceed with the adoption. Tried on Facebook, phone, and email. We got a response once on Facebook asking us to submit an application we had already submitted. We submitted it again. After nearly a week, we finally get a call back saying all the puppies from that litter are adopted. They never were listed on their site. They claim they got no messages from us, even the one they responded to. They can't tell us how the unlisted puppies all got adopted. I now have a 6 year old in tears. I tried to adopt Chandler and filled out an application. Several days and no response from the rescue. I contacted the rescue via email and the lady there said the foster mom would get ahold of me directly. After my last email the foster mom texted me and then followed up with a call. We set up a meet and greet for my dogs to meet him and show that we could provide a good home for him. Then the foster mom never really got back to me and then when she did she said she had scheduled other meet and greets for Chandler and that she would contact me if they fell through. Looking at wiggly tails Facebook it would appear Chandler is still up for adoption but the foster mom has not got back to me yet. I am beginning to think this is a scam of some sort. Not sure what game these guys are playing, I just wanted to help out another doggo that needed a good home. If this is how people are treated by this rescue for doing the right thing, good luck with that. read more
