This is one of my most frequented Vinnie's stores. It's usually got decent selection and pricing and it's a pretty clean and tidy store. I can usually find something here, they have a good stock and the shelves are fairly organized. The people working here are friendly but can be hard to track down. The parking lot is huge and pretty easy to navigate, but it can be hard to get out of when exiting onto West 11th because it's a narrow and slightly blind turn. The bathrooms are coded, to save you the effort the codes are 1010 for the men's bathroom and 2020 for the women's. Not sure when that will change though. read more

The staff and atmosphere at this specific St. Vincent De Paul store is always super welcoming! I love shopping here because they have an amazing selection. Prices can be a bit steep, but overall, this store is definitely my go to when I need some new clothes. read more

Their security person used excessive force pushing down an elderly gentleman on to the hot pavement and pinning him there presumably because they believe he was shoplifting. I sent an inquiry to St. Vincent de Paul management asking whether this is what Jesus would do since they hold themselves out as a Jesus based organization. They failed to reply. YELP is funny because there seems to be no reply button when somebody replies to the review. So I will just add here. Reportedly, the security person you're using excessive force no longer is employed at Saint Vinnys, (although they did not say why). But the point of my inquiry was not directly responded to I suppose because they don't really have a good answer. And that point was "what would Jesus do?" They know darn well he would not have done what they did yet for some reason they can't be straightforward enough to admit that and that they failed in that respect instead they sidestepped the question the way of politician would. read more

I was a customer at this store since the first week it opened and was a long time customer at the store on West Broadway for many many years. I can no longer go to this store because I feel unsafe inside of it. As a long time customer, I get ragged on and denigrated by many of the employees, and I believe this behavior comes straight from corporate. I am sure I am not the only customer they do this to. Instead of citing specific occurrences of behavior, they denigrate the customers they think are a problem, and try whatever they can to make them feel uncomfortable in their stores. Why not treat everyone with respect, and if you see a specific problem, deal with it. If someone is causing problems, you have every right to throw them out of your stores, but don't passively aggressively rag on specific customers for years based solely on their appearance. From one thrift store aficionado to another... Cons: 1) Ridiculous prices. Higher than retail, you could buy brand new for less in several cases. I actually got mad- I know that St. Vinnie's prices have gotten a bit much but this was outrageous. Everything I looked at on the tchotchke shelf was $7.99 up to $49.99. One West Elm dresser with scratches on it was $799 for christsakes. 2) Where is all the furniture that was at the Broadway store?? I miss it already. My Son, and I stopped in here last week after we had lunch together with my Nephew. We were excited to check this place out. The moment I walked in I saw beautiful items. So you ask why the one star? Well, these items are donated, and this is a thrift store. The home goods items, and decor stuff you would find at Ross, Tjmaxx, Fred Meyer, etc, are more expensive here. The prices are laughable. My phone was in my car, I should have ran back out just to snap a pic of some of the prices. They had some cute items, but they will never get my money. I would rather buy new, because you can buy new for less than what you can pay for used here. This being said, some items like crummy looking clothes were not marked up. I was able to find some brand new tanks with tags still on them. Prices still pretty high, but we purchased them anyway. I have not liked places like this simply for their high mark ups! Who do they think they are? It makes me sick that people donate these items, and they mark the items up so high! read more

So overpriced it was comical. Small galvanized tub-$60. Big glass vase-$89. And the most ridiculous was a standard 3 drawer dresser, not even real wood, for $389. I'll shop here again only if I need a good laugh, but that will be the only reason. read more

Pretty cool store has lots of great stuff has lots of furniture if you're starting a new household or college living and in need furnishings and kitchen stuff , pretty much anything you could need, this place probably has it plus a lot of cute knickknacks clothes and some even some high-end bags and jewelry are available read more

You know how you can never judge a book by it's cover? This location is an excellent example. It looks so new, but that's their only pro. The gall of management to charge the prices that they charge is a disgrace. Donated items, many moderately-heavily used, being close to or exceeding retail prices. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the mental anguish. Avoid this place. read more

Great nonprofit that helps those in need and is close to where I live, making it very convenient to drop off donations

I know people have left some negative reviews for high prices but that was all related to furniture. Today i got a great haul of different items including home decor, books, acessories, & clothes which were all cheap (plus an extra 50% off!). This new location is also very clean and organized while the staff are all friendly. There is plenty of interesting stuff to look through and I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend read more
