I was craving for something at WIENERSCHNITZEL today after my ZUMBA workout. I knew I wanted to eat A LOT because I was sweating like a PIG which made me as HUNGRY as a PIG! It was on the way back home so WHY NOT? It's WIENER time! When I got there, there was about 4 cars in front of me. The drive thru was really TIGHT and sometimes cars need to back out of their parking spot so you'll have to be MINDFUL of that. The drive try lane on the way out was REALLY tight so your tires can easily HIT the curve... I love the chili dogs. Idc what anyone says but their hot dog buns are so soft and the weiner goes perfect with the hot dog buns. The chili is on point! Salty and flavorful! I loved this place since I was a kid amd still do! As for this location, not so much. The workers here often make mistakes on my bill. Today I was overcharged 4.18$ bc she typed in the wrong coupon code. She also did not include any spoons for my chili cheese fries or funnel cake. Weinerschnitzel, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recent experience at your Temecula highway 79 restaurant location. My husband picked up an order through the drive-thru this evening, which included an order of chili cheese fries. Given that these fries now cost over $5.00, I was extremely disappointed to find the amount of toppings provided to be completely inadequate. When I called the restaurant to inquire about the standard portion sizes, I spoke with a lead named Chris. He informed me that the standard is 1 oz of chili and 1 oz of cheese; however, the portion I received did not appear to meet even that small requirement. More concerning was the lack of professionalism and empathy shown during the call. Chris informed me that there was no manager available, yet suggested I drive back to return the fries because the manager, Mohammad, would want to see them. As a customer, I found it incredibly frustrating to be told to make a second trip for a resolution that could have been handled with basic courtesy, especially when the manager was reportedly not even on-site. Have been here a few times when driving up from San Diego while doing some shopping in the area. The staff are always nice and friendly and when they allowed indoor dining they would even check on you if you needed anything. Just tried the chili cheese tater scoops and they were okay, but I still prefer the chili cheese fries. Love the various choices in the different types of dogs you can get like the Chicago Dog and my girlfriend loves the Texas Dog. Hope they keep it a permanent item as I like it too! My favorite is the chili cheese dogs and I even like the canned chili you can buy at the restaurant for making your own chili cheese dogs at home. This is just your classic hot dog stand that has been around for at least 50 years. Used to be called Der Weinerschnitzel. They are by no means a frilly gourmet delight, but a basic dog with additives such as chili, sour kraut etc. They do have corn dogs, if you never had one you should try one. They've branched into burgers, pastrami and Ruben sandwiches. The fries are good and tasty. If you need a hot dog fix on a budget this is your place! My wife and I came here because online it says that they are dairy, and soy free. Sure enough some of their menu items are in fact allergy friendly. Since my wife hasn't been eating at restaurants due to the lack of allergy friendly she was excited. She ordered just a hot dog with ketchup, and I ordered a corn dog for the kids and I. It's wienerschnitzel, so the food it's fast food, and not your top of the line hot dog. This review is mainly for the customer service. The employees were so friendly and so nice. They were attentive to my wife's allergies, and even doubled checked everything before we ordered. One of them asked all about the allergy because her daughter may have it as well. My son spilt a large soda all over, and the employee was so nice about cleaning it up and we of course felt so bad. But she was friendly, and made conversation. I walked in this evening at 6:55pm, 10/22/22. The place was empty, no workers behind the counter. So I went to use the rest room before I ordered. When I approached the bathroom, a young girl (that works there in uniform) AND a male-non worker, stormed out of the same bathroom. These are single stall lockable bathrooms. I can only imagine what they were doing in there. They must've heard me come in, and looked nervous when they saw me, so I went ahead and used the rest room and walked out. The business decision to close the lobby and prevent take-out ordering is understandable, inconvenient, and perplexing since other venues like The Habit can handle all three: take-out, curbside, and drive-thru; the least preferable is the latter due to potential inaccuracies with order fulfillment and opaqueness of food preparation. Even more disconcerting is the decision to discontinue accepting truly contactless payments like Apple / Google / Samsung Pay. The decision to use masks and gloves are ostensibly for protection of the employees but their failure to change gloves after each customer interaction is neither science-based nor aligned with sanitary guidelines, especially since the cashier handles cash, cards (plastic keeps the virus alive longer), _and_ the food. The use of Apple Pay does not impose additional costs on Wienerschnitzel so its decisions to stop accepting it as a form of payment is an inconvenience, not sanitary, and evidently not based on economics, especially since the customer's financial institution, which issued the credit card, pays for the fees for using Apple Pay. read more

This was one of my go to places to eat, one of my favorites were the polish dogs with the natural casing and swiss cheese mustard and the rye bread. Now you're getting what they call a polish dog the size of a regular hot dog no natural casing no snap or bite you would expect from a natural casing polish sausage, this was like biting into jello very mushy no flavor the swiss cheese was about 1/16" thick unbelievable processed swiss cheese with no flavor with two large pieces of rye bread looked like a king sized bed with a hot dog on it costing me $3.99 wow, is this what's to come from fast food restaurants now what's happening with the quality of food now?
