So we were trying to decide what we wanted that was close to our area I got the deluxe burger with fries and drink husband wanted corn dogs so we went to walk up ordered cashier was very nice service was very quick had everything in the bag got home and we enjoyed our lunch food was the right temperature to eat the burger was delicious and husband loved the corn dogs I think we have to consider going here more often read more

I am actually shocked by the negative reviews for this particular location. I've been coming here since 1996 and I LOVE Weinerschnizel and this location has only 3 times ever disappointed me. I like this Wienerschnitzel branch because of the following : courteous staff, special deals, quality prepared food, great tasting food(consistent) and cognizant of customers time visiting their fast food restaurant! Sometimes , there is a little longer wait for food but it's mostly because of customer demand. I've had to wait longer on a few occasions for my food but was okay with! Was craving Wienerschnitzel one day, saw this one in passing and decided to stop by. I didn't know you could not actually go inside the restaurant upon pulling up (it's just a drive-thru and a walk-up menu. I stood/sat for a while waiting for the women inside to acknowledge me then I tapped on the window to ask if I could actually order there or if I needed to go through the drive-thru the woman shook her head that I could indeed order and another woman came to take my order. I had a regular chili cheese fries & a Bratwurst w sauerkraut & chili & a small Strawberry Shake. My food was okay, my shake was good but melted fast (typical Wienerschnitzel). We have always had a great experience at this establishment. The staff are wonderful and the food is always fresh and hot. When you ask for a corn dog well done or fries with no salt, the staff makes sure that is the way you get it. We have been frequenting this establishment since 1975 and have never been disappointed. I have to put in a word for this place. They have pastrami pastrami pastrami, which I love so I order a rueben & a pastrami sandwich at the drive-thru for my husband & I. They forget one of the sandwiches so I call as soon as I realize the mistake, leave my name & pick up my sandwich the next evening - no hassle. This place reminds me of old fashioned hospitality which is becoming very rare these days. I go there several times a week (they have daily dessert specials), the food is always fresh & the people are very easy to get along with. It was the most pathetic chilly dog I have ever seen in my life. Along with that I ordered 2 chilly cheese fries. Horrible, grumpy service. Came by the drive thru today to get the kids cones. Asked for sprinkles on the cones & was told they can't put sprinkles on the dipped cones followed by several excuses as to why they're not supposed to. Fine. Finished the order and got to the window. Asked the grumpy girl to put the 3 cones (2 dipped) in cups so my smaller kids don't make a mess on the way home. She looked at me kinda funny but did it. WORST decision my co-workers and I made last week. Got old, cold food from this place and called and asked to speak with the manager. After speaking with him he demanded I bring the food to him to prove it was old. I took time out of my work day to do BACK up to this shit hole to show him how nasty the food was that they served us. He proceeded to grab the bag of food throw it on the floor and call me a lying BIT**, that all I wanted was free food. I have been going to this Wienerschnitzel since the early 1980s. We used to walk off base and get a dog there. Today I had a "cheese" dog there. Is it legal for them to call that cheese? Because whatever it is, it certainly does not even contain any cheese in its manufacture. I had a blob of it at the end, and it did not taste like anything at all. It had the texture of starch and fat with orange food coloring. That is really disgusting! And for what they charge, they cannot even use a slice of actual cheese in their "cheese" dogs? Yuck! This 'Der Wienerschnitzel' franchise store is undoubtedly one of the wurst (pun intended) in the entire chain of 'Der Wienerschnitzel' outlets. It barely deserves a single star (yuk)! If there was a 'minus-star' rating, I'd have checked it! Several years ago they served your basic 'Der Wienerschnitzel' fare, usually prepared and served with the accustomed reasonable care, that was at least juicy, tasty and palatable. I admit to having a particular passion for 'junk hot dogs' (just like Taco's Bell's 'junk tacos': they're nothing to write home about, but at least they were consistently tasty). This past week, I decided to stop by the 'Der Wienerschnitzel' located on Watt Avenue in North Highlands to buy my usual order of kraut-dogs (love those kraut-dogs!) and when I finally sat down to eat them I was APPALLED by the wretched mess I found wrapped sloppily up in those wrappers! The buns were not fresh, the saurkraut was undercooked (not quite raw, but obviously not cooked long enough), and the hot dogs?...well, they were simply abysmal (note to the illiterate: 'abysmal' means 'horrible')! On top of all that, the young woman who served them up had an attitude problem (sort of like "I'm too good to be working in a joint like this!", probably compounded by the fact that I am a honky). This was, without a doubt, the single worst experience I've ever had with a 'Der Wienerschnitzel' franchised outlet. I wouldn't recommend it to you if you were a starving, underweight Tasmanian Devil who hadn't eaten in a month! Do yourself a BIG favor and do not subject your tender taste buds to this execrable excuse for a fast food franchise. Fortunately, most other 'Der Wienerschnitzel' stores have not sunk to the level this one has, but wow!...never again at this place! In the past me & my husband have enjoyed their food from time to time. My husband was on their e-mail list and recieved two different e-mails withtwo different free items. I called on the ph to this location and asked them if since our printer was not working if they could look at the e-mails on our ph. The said they could not take it that way, which was understandable. So we went to the library and paid to print out the e-mails. We drove down to this location afterwards only to be told that since they were not printed in color they did not look valid to her. The lady asked her manager, who didn't even look at the e-mails or the printed ones and said that they would not take them. We were very unhappy and just left instead buying the other items that we were going to purchase in addition. We have not been there since and do not plan on returning. read more

Not a very good location. The customer service here is terrible. They highered a couple of girls with an attitude problem. They messed up my order, fogot to give me an item I ordered, then acted like it was my fault. Not to mention this location charges you for everything. This place must of changed ownership, the drive thru is so slow that you can go eat faster at a restaurant, also Everytime I go thru the drive thru the guy working at the window has really sweaty hands, or his hands or so dirty you have to wipe off your drink, my last drink had dirt all over and my hands got dirty grabbing the drinks. This place is disgusting and dirty all around the grounds also, I will never go back, and my friends have stopped going also.
