Me and my son's first time at this location, the customer service was great The quality of the food was delicious. There was no complaints. I assumed the Supervisor the lady she was very nice and her staff was very friendly. We will continue to come to this location during the midst of when my son goes to school he is in the Disability program at San Jose city College and Evergreen community college and he's very picky about where he goes and where he likes to eat so he chose this location last week I can't remember what day it was but we parked and we enjoyed our meal. I came here for lunch and to be honest it was a very underwhelming experience, which means I won't be coming back. First off, the prices for these small food options are incredibly overpriced and not worth it. Unless you come with coupons to make it a good deal you will feel ripped off. My corn dog looked really dark, almost burned, like it had been double fried. I should have returned it. The BBQ dog tasted kind of bad, limp sauteed onions and the bacon overwhelmed all the other flavors. The chilli cheese fries were just ok. Take it from a lifetime Wienerschnitzel fanatic - avoid the Bascom franchise like the plague! Believe it or not, I've been coming here since the 1970s. Only make it down to San Hoser 3 or 4 times a year nowadays but always make time to stop in for lunch. Sadly, yesterday will be my last trip. Its probably been a year since I was last here. Found 2 cars in front of me and somehow had to wait 5 or 6 minutes to pull up to the window. I ordered 2 Mustard Dogs and an order of Fries, and was shocked that the tab came to nearly $8. I was back on the road when I reached inside and found....ONE CHILI DOG, and Fries. Really? 3 items ordered, only one correct. Lastly, I have to note that the size of the doggies has been shrinking over the past years, is now about 30$ smaller than it used to be. Shrinkflation - smaller portions combined with higher prices. Add in the pathetic service and I'm done with Wienerschnitzel! At least this one....might give another franchise a chance. But they're hard to find and now I know why. read more

This is my first time coming to Wienerschnitzel in years. My mom dragged me here because she likes their food. I only ordered fries, they were okay. The fries were undercooked though. The chili and cheese was pretty good. The workers weren't super friendly. They were distracted and talking. They also accidentally gave us more food than we ordered since they weren't paying attention. They also don't wear gloves while prepping the food which could be concerning for some. Went here recently and it was pretty empty of customers and staff didn't seem too present at the moment. Ordered their hush puppies (mini corn dogs) and I've got to say those corn dogs are still the best in my opinion. Hot dogs on the other hand were a bit... underwhelming to be honest, with nothing really standing out other than the extra toppings they put on top and call it something other than just a hot dog. Fries are not that special either but their ice creams on the other hand are on the same good level as McDonald's sundaes so that's pretty good. Other than that, if you're craving some delectable corn dogs, go for it here but other than that, nothing else really too special to say. Would I recommend this place to others? I asked for them to be well done (more crispy) with no chili as that contains meat. So my Thousand Island Fries only had a skimpy amount of Thousand Islands sauce and sauteed onions. Dad ordered 5 chili dogs with cheese and onions, Mom had the Polish Sausage Sandwich, the brothers would always get the assortment of corn dogs, chili dogs and regular dogs, and me - chili dog, fries and a coke. Okay, this was pretty normal, but now comes the good part. My Dad would always ask if they had anything for the dog and they always did. We'd get to the window and they'd hand us bag after bag full of chili dogs, corn dog, Polish sausage, fries, drinks and then...there would be one large bag of overcooked hot dogs for Pal! I mean, this bag was filled to the brim!!! Pal would bark and wag his tail and drool like nobody's business! Heck, he was more excited than we were! Okay, we were all drooling. We'd go find a park and pile out of the VW, head to a picnic table or spread out a blanket and enjoy a feast of the most delicious dogs in the world - Wienerschnitzel. All of us, even the dog. I decided to finally try Wienerschnitzel after shopping from a store nearby. I've always seen this store every time I went to California, but I've never had a chance to try it until now. The building is small and there's no indoor seating. There's a drive through and it literally goes through the building. There's outside seating so it was convenient to have my pet with me. There were no lines fortunately and informed the lady that it was my first time and asked for her suggestions. She was very kind and I ended up getting the chili dog with french fries and a drink. Chili dog: 4/5 - probably one of the BEST chili dogs I ever had. There was so much flavor in the chili and the hot dog was juicy so it was a great combination. Fries: 4/5 - the fries were crunchy and fresh when I got them. They were perfect size and the saltiness level was acceptable. Would I come back here? YAAAS! Would I recommend it? YAAAS! They are fast and efficient here! What happened to little Mexican hippie guy who worked here for over 25 years! He's gone. The combination food items are reasonable but a BEEF dog is $3.25 wow! BF loves this place- then again, he's Russian and there's a pastrami sandwich on the menu AND they're open late, so this place is already one of his favorites.
