This is our burger joint for Eastside at this point. It's also near work and convenient. Parking a bit difficult because other businesses have designated parking for their own places. Watch out for a long line at lunch. There aren't that many seating either so prepare to sit outside or go-to. The burger is tasty, meat seems fresh and smell the smoky flavor just coming out from the grill. It's also served at the right portion, not too big or too small. Their shake is just average, nothing special comparing to Lunchbox. But it's good enough for us. If you want taste per price, this is the place to go. We will come back! read more

The highlights for me were the environment. It has a warm, inviting decor that makes you want to stay a while. It was clean and well organized and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food: Burger was fine. The menu had some interesting combinations. Onion rings were fine. Fries were somewhat less than fine Fish and chips fell a bit short Shakes were really good. I think they were made with real ice cream. Let's face it, with In N Out, Five Guys and Shake Shack setting the bar really high, a burger place has to be really good to be memorable. Wibbley's is OK. They have a newpaper article on their wall bragging about the freshness of their meat, but the beef on my burger seems to have be a frozen patty at one time. Their burgers are so neat! Okay let me clarify. No, I did not sit down and talk to my burger (aside from telling it to get in my belly.) But whoever prepared my burger made sure to place all the ingredients neatly atop the patty and made sure to spread them all evenly around. Truthfully, the neatness of the burger is how I mostly judge a restaurant and Wibbley's knocked that one out of the park! No sitting around and completely rearranging my burger here. As for the taste--it was hot, fresh, and good. They put their own sauce on the burger that is similar to thousand island and I happen to love it! The fries were thick and also super fresh. Not a huge selection of condiments to choose from for the fries, just your basic ketchup and mayo mostly. And some A1. And perhaps some other hot sauces. The food here is fantastic and consistent, with a wide assortment of options. I've tried burgers, chicken, fish, and sides here and everything is good which is often unusual for a restaurant. The meat isn't overcooked, and any vegetable toppings taste fresh. Breading on deep fried items isn't too heavy but still crisp. The garlic fries are fantastic, I get them every time I order because they're like a higher quality version of what you would find at a baseball game. They are crispy enough to not go soft under any topics such as the garlic butter, but also not too hard. I'm writing this review because of the amazing service we received tonight from Mayra (I believe that's her name, that's the name that was on our receipt). As soon as we walked in she cheerfully greeted us and since we had never been in before she explained the menu and gave us a minute to order. She was so helpful and welcoming! Then she even ran our order out to our car, still bubbly and attentive as ever. Overall, her customer service really made the experience great and we will definitely come back the next time we're in the area. The food was also really good! This is my favorite burger place in Bellevue for a casual place to drop by and get a simple lunch. There's something I like about Wibbley's because the burgers are so well constructed (i.e. the packaging) and the french fries are really good too. I normally get the cheese burger + onion and the onion is a whole slice that you'd think would be too much. But, on the Wibbley burger it's sweet and really brings out the flavor. So, when you're in Bellevue and just need a hamburger + fries + milk shake (ice tea is good too), then go here and you'll be hooked. Next time I'm there, I'll take a picture of the burger so you can see how well they stack the layers of lettuce, tomato and onion on it. read more

Easy to find, plenty of parking in front, located in a strip mall, fast and friendly service. Just for context, too, my usual go to for burger with a grilled anaheim pepper is Red Mill's Verde Burger, so I was happy to discover that the South of the Border at Wibbley's sounded very similar. Tried it today with a side of fried mushrooms. Burger--5 stars, shrooms--3 to 4. Burger was nice and charbroiled, well cooked, beefy (hope that makes sense) and not oily or fatty, patty was nice and thick but not huge, sauced but not dripping, and bun held it's shape well. So good. I especially appreciated that the patty was charbroiled--makes a significant difference. Fried shrooms, though...overly battered and really, really oily. I'm usually a huge fan of fried mushrooms whenever I see them on a menu (not too common), but ugh, these were really hard to eat. I ended up peeling off the batter. Inside, the mushrooms were nice and juicy. Next time, will stick with just the burger only...and maybe a shake! read more

Let me count the ways I love you, Wibbley's. 1) You make the best burgers on the Eastside. 2) You have the best fries. 3) Your staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. 4) Your location is actually pretty convenient for us. 5) Your fish and chips fish is hand filleted, hand breaded, and fresh. Dang. 6) You offer gluten-free buns!! 7) Your fries are gluten-free, and fish is cooked in a separate fryer. 8) You've finally listened to all our whining and begging and offer cheddar cheese! It is so unusual for a little mom-and-pop like Wibbley's to offer a gluten-free bun that I am just amazed. There's a $2.25 upcharge, but I don't care. It is so NICE to eat a burger on a bread thing after 9 months (Red Robin has g-f buns too, but these are better, and I usually skip it at RR). The cash or check only policy is still a pain in the butt though they do offer an ATM and prices are still a tidge high, but it's cheaper than Teddy's Bigger Burger. Really, it's on par with Red Robin price-wise. They will refill your soda for free while you're in the store if you ask nicely. And they still close at 8 pm during the week, and stay closed entirely on Sundays, which makes me sad. Still, I love Wibbley's very much for what they are. read more

I arrived on a weekday for lunch, and the place was filling up fast. However, know that a lot of people are in line for orders to go, and the turnover at tables is quick. People eat and leave, it is not a place for lingering. Also, parking is not great during lunch time... the parking lot is crowded and a lot of spots near Wibbley's are designated for specific businesses. There is a huge menu board on the wall, which can be overwhelming if you haven't checked out their menu beforehand (available online). I got the Wibbley's gourmet burger figuring I wouldn't miss the cheese with house dressing on it. Our table also shared the parmesan-garlic fries and onion rings. The burger itself is fine, but the bun-burger ratio is off - the bun is so big, it makes the burger seem small. I probably could have cut the top bun in half and used it for the burger. The fries were fine, although I prefer shoe string fries, so I'm not sure I'd order them again. The onion rings were somewhat disappointing, tasting like overcooked frozen onion rings I could buy at the store. The service is courteous and relatively quick. The prices are reasonable for a burger, but I'm not sure I'd return before checking out more local burger joints. read more

The fella who took my order and payment (Daniel on receipt) was a bit distant in demeanor but I'm going to assume he was distracted by something else or was just not having a good day. I did not sense any negative vibe from him so I decided not to factor that into my star rating. I would like to say though that a pleasant welcome smile is free and brings rewards. The patty was dry, tough and had a few bits of gristle in it, not quality meat, over seasoned and is that liquid smoke I detect? Good bun, good cheese, good veg and good condiments but the patty makes the burger and it was not good. Wibbly, if you are reading this, get better meat. Understandable if it costs us more but man what you got now, that was gross. I recently needed enough food to feed 40 people, and while Wibbley's doesn't cater, they made it work for me. Not a bad burger joint. What attracted me to this place in my yelp search for restaurants is that they had gluten free options that didn't break the bank like some nearby restaurants. They have your typical burger choices but also have some options with flare. The Kimchi burger looked interesting. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with the gluten free bun. Nothing too special, but decent price and decent food. I also had fries which they said were also gluten free. My BF got the fish and chips. He liked his meal okay. He felt that they were pretty crispy and the fish was a little over cooked. He also got an Oreo shake. Super thick, so be prepared to use a spoon as well as a straw. But he too said, good prices for the area and not bad food. The service was friendly, outgoing and was happy to answer all of my food allergy questions. They had a few customers in already when we got there and about 10 more while we were eating. It's further away from downtown Bellevue so there's free parking inside the small plaza parking lot out front of the store. read more
