We were among the last few customers before they close for the night. A small restaurant with option for outdoor seating by the broadwalk with wonderful view of the ocean. The menu has quite good selections of seafood. We had grilled salmon, mahi-mahi fillet and jumbo prawns. The cocktails were delicious, the service was excellent, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The food was nothing special. I ordered the grilled seafood hot plate. Came from NY to FL for a weekend. My cousin brought me To the Hollywood boardwalk for a nice evening and bite to eat. There were other restaurants but Why Not stood out for its decor and the fact there were many full seated tables said something to me. Okay, what we came for. Oh my goodness the drinks and food were 10/10 and the cherry on top was our server Stefania. She answered our questions with attentive ears and conversed warmly with us. I'm not going into detail with the specifics of all we ordered but the Shelley street drink and the burgers with fries were amazing! If in the evening there's much wind and the night is brisk, this place is a go to since they have indoor enclosed seating. read more

Nice out door seating even though building is under construction. Our food was fine but my disappointment is with the sidewalk "marketing" by the hostesses/owners. They throw out specials at you as you are walking the boardwalk to bring you in. Ours was, "come on in, 20% off the whole menu" (on a Wednesday night). Then when we get the bill they said it was only for steaks and burgers. Make sure to clarify the specials- there's always a detail they conveniently leave out or switch! Everything is over-priced on the boardwalk but you are getting great ocean views. One of our favorites is Giorgio's, just across the street on the bay side. Reasonably priced with nice meals. read more

Worst experience ever! Waitress dropped an entire tray in my lap, covering my clothes in food, ketchup, and mayonnaise. Offered club soda but the mess was far too extensive for the small spot club soda would usually be used for. We had just arrived to Boardwalk, paid $25 to park, and as soon as we ate had to leave to return to hotel for change of clothing. They offered a "dessert" for the incident which I did not want, and thought that was an appropriate solution. My kids were finished eating before my food even arrived and lunch took twice as long as planned. After all of this had no problem dropping a check for the full amount, not even a discount. Super small hole in the wall plate right on the beach in Hollywood FL! We sat out front so we could watch the waves while we ate. They had like 30+ kinds of mojitos and they were so good! The sushi was delicious. I got the lobster roll and there was so much fish, even on top. The mahi burger and fries were also great. The tacos were just okay - wish everything wasn't fried. On Feb 1st 2025 my wife & I stopped for a small bite while shopping on Hollywood Beach. We shared the Fettuccine Al Porcini. It cost $25 & was a regular sized portion & was very good. I had a coke with it for $3.50. The total bill was $35.63 with tax & the 18% gratuity included in the bill. WOW! AMAZING! EVERYTHING from Food to service to cleanliness. We have found a gold mine. You MUST try! We went 4 times in one week! In fact, last night I saw a family contemplating to eat there. I yelled over to them that it was FABULOUS and they really should try. They trusted me. A few minutes after they were eating, I asked what they thought. They said its the best food ever. The food was perfect and the right price. My husband and I shared the Why Not Salad for $14 which was lettuce, tuna, egg, avocado and tomato with Italian dressing. It was more than enough for both of us. We also shared the $29 grouper with fries. We would have been fine with just the salad but the grouper was light and the fries were delicious. I'm sorry but I didn't remember her name and the waiter's name ((( We were in a cafe on January 9th around 6pm. We got to the happy hour "all pasta 15$". I will tell you why and then why not? This spot of one of the best for people watching and views of the ocean. It is on the south end of restaurant row (which is in the middle of the Broadwalk. (Not boardwalk, as the city will remind you.) As such it is less crowded and has a great view of folks walking to the south or from the south. It's also great because those annoying tents in there center of the walk aren't blocking the view of the water. So, the ambiance is one of the better ones on the sand. The food is my meh. Lots of deep fried stuff. No substitutions. Nothing with remembering. The shrimp in bang bang sauce barely made a pop. I searched for the blue crab in the crab cake burger. I did see some flakes, but I think the crab got away. (The ketchup was spot on.) So go if you want to sit and watch. But, don't expect to remember the food. read more

The total came to $100 for the group without drinks, so it's a bit pricey for a casual meal. I check after and they did call me, but I don't answer unknown numbers and they never left any voice messages. So he tells me they can refund the order, great, problem solved, right? Nope. I get off the phone and then receive an email from someone saying they wanted my address because they'll deliver my order. Confused, I call the restaurant back and end up speaking with someone else. We ask when the order was completed since we placed this order at 2pm? When did they make this order and are deciding to deliver us food that's been sitting for hours? They're telling me that they'll deliver the order, but they don't have the matcha tiramisu, a $9.88 item, so they'll use that as a "delivery fee." I refuse and tell them that their website let me complete the order, we were there to pick-up the order as mentioned on the confirmation, but they weren't open. The matcha tiramisu was processed, why would I get penalized for it? So he then offers to change it with something else, I say okay and give him our address. My husband also checks GPS and tells him how far and how long it'll be to deliver (30+ minutes). The guy says okay, we get off the phone. Problem solved again? Nope. I get an email saying, "We apologize but we won't be able to drop it off. It is too far of a drive for our associate . We'll process a refund as soon as possible." Guess I will wait for my refund since I wasn't told how long it'll be until I receive it. I'd avoid or call before placing orders. This place is crazy and confusing - and not just the hours. Told we'd get refunded, then get our food delivered, then not delivered.

I was happy to see customers dining inside... always a good sign. But when I got my food home, it didn't taste very fresh and the flavor was missing. I had to throw away my veggies and shrimp roll. I kept the noodles but... oh well. My order was ready when I arrived and the online ordering system was very user friendly.

The service was also very good. Very kind and attentive. Now the food. I got the oma deluxe and got to try a lot of different things that I wish I remembered the names of. What I do remember is how fresh everything tasted. Not only that but the flavors of their dishes were exceptional. I was so indulged in some pieces that I'd completely forget to take a picture of the next. A must and I mean must try is the king salmon with lemon and salt. I don't know how they do it but it tasted so buttery and delicious, I had to get more after the experience. What was supposed to be a regular dinner quickly turned into discovering one of my new favorite sushi spots. I've been to some fancy spots but their flavors did not stand out like Omakai. I will most definitely be back to try their other dishes and for that king salmon.
