Not great for vegetarians but you choose Italian by the beach can't expect to avoid seafood but it should be inclusive in this fast changing world?! Loved their elaborate menu but as the name suggests they have crazy menu sections - pasta, sushi, burgers?! Loved their linguine with mushrooms so creamy and tasty with perfect amount of cheese and garlic. The highlight was the appetizer - Fritters. Well cooked and the veggie filling was great. Wish they had more veggie options as I said earlier, but the view was great and you can enjoy meal and drinks just by the beach.

Legit the best gnocchi I have ever eaten in my life. I love pasta and gnocchi and all things like it. I like to try gnocchi when restaurants have it and sometimes it's pretty good. This was heavenly joy in my face. So light and delicious. The sauce was perfect. I'm sad we don't live nearby. We weren't planning on coming back but I am now trying to figure out when we can come back. The pesto was good too. The seafood linguine was good, but the gnocchi was by far the best. We sat outside on the beach front so the view was great. We were seated right away and the server was nice too. Excellent 5 star Italian restaurant on the beach. Go if you can, save me a seat!

On the spur of the moment while walking down the Broadwalk in Hollywood, we happened upon Why Not and it was truly one of the best meals we had on our stay. Getting a table for 9 on a Sunday evening without a reservation was surprising at 7:30. Even more surprising was our server, Stefania G- she is a super star! We were speaking Russian and English throughout and I switched to Spanish when we were ordering so she is a trooper for getting through that with her sanity. Always a smile and endlessly patient, she gets a gold star for her courage and bravery while possibly maintaining her sanity! We ordered pretty much everything- apps and salads and entrees. The star of the evening was definitely the Why Not tartar. The octopus was perfect and the flavors were solidly on point. I could have eaten a loaf of bread with what lay in the bottom of the bowl! Shrimp bang bang was good but nothing like the perfectly cooked lamb lollipops. My Pacheri Ossobuco was delicious and I tried the baby back ribs and they were fantastic as well. The skirt steak was well received by one of our party and the 1/2 dozen blue point oysters were fresh and tasty- only thing awry was the fact that they hadn't been cleaned and shucked properly. One of our party had the Greek salad with a side of grilled chicken and that went over well. Kids pasta was on the smaller side so one of the young ones went back for seconds. Calamari was a mix of rings and heads- very good with a sauce that matched. Seating was comfortable and laid back with an open beachy feel. Perfect for our night out. Only suggestion I'll make about ordering, I tried to convince our party not to put the entrees in until after receiving and eating our appetizers- the entrees came out immediately after the apps and the table got very full. I like to space the meal out a bit more to get some conversation in. But alas, the table got full and we ate our way through it. We saved our room for dessert for another place but I'm sure it would have been excellent as well. As I've said, one of the best and surprising meals on our trip! Well done!

No website to check out...no problem, embrace the Hollywood Beach vibe and roll with it. The food is excellent, and the service is even better. Came here for breakfast! Absolutely outstanding breakfast spot! We hit the trifecta of perfection here. The Belgian Waffles were light, crispy, and pure heaven. The Crab Cakes Benedict were sublime--huge chunks of fresh crab, zero filler, and a rich, perfect hollandaise. And for a spicy kick, the Huevos Rancheros were on point! Excellent flavor, great heat, and perfectly cooked eggs. Fast service, hot coffee, and truly memorable food. This is my new go-to for breakfast! Highly, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful dinner at Why Not, Stefania was so friendly and helpful. She was so welcoming and helpful as soon as we arrived. She even cheered on our Salsa dancing to the live music. We sat outside at a high top table with a beautiful view of the beach. I got the bucatini cacio de Pepe and it was incredible!! My husband got the why not burger and it was huge and delicious!! Definitely recommend if you are staying on the Boardwalk.

Visited why not on a Thursday evening. The service was quick and staff friendly. We sat outside for an ocean view which was lovely. The food itself wasn't spectacular. Wish the staff would've told us the shrimp was shelled because that would've made for an alternate choice. Didn't like having to use hands to crack the shrimp open. The ravioli itself was good and the pink sauce yummy. The fettuccine bolognese was a disappointment. The fettuccine itself was good but the meat and sauce were off. Tasted overly salty and almost reminded me of beefaroni. Overall the $70 price tag included our 2 entrees, Diet Coke and tip.

One of the best places on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk! I was staying at the beach for the weekend and looked on Yelp for a place to eat. With most of these places on the beach, you expect the same types of food and not super high ratings. Why Not immediately stood out with its great reviews, so we went for breakfast. I was instantly impressed by the cleanliness, the quality of the food, and the variety of the menu. And of course with this location, the view was beautiful. I had the tres leches pancakes which were thick and fluffy, and the passion fruit mimosa, which I could tell was made with real passionfruit because there were some seeds in it. The dinner menu looked so good that we ended up bringing our family back for dinner! I got the cacio e Pepe, and fulfilled my dream of having pasta served in a cheese wheel! My family was really happy with all of their food as well. Everything was really good. If you're looking for high-quality food on Hollywood beach for any meal, this is definitely your place!

Best food on the boardwalk! Decided to finally try this restaurant after staying on the boardwalk for a week. Did not disappoint. Had a Caesar Salad that was not pictured, but very delicious. Had the lobster ravioli which was phenomenal, a couple of shrimps. I have a big appetite so I ordered the margherita pizza afterwards and my goodness, very delicious. We had a great dinner at Why Not? Our group had 3 different pasta dishes and sushi. Each pasta was very tasty. The sauce on the spinach and ricotta ravioli was so fresh and light. The star was the Fiocchetti Alle Pere E Tartufo. It was so rich and the flavors were amazing. The portion isn't large, but it was delicious. Also good was the Spinach and Ricotta Ravoli. We were among the last few customers before they close for the night. A small restaurant with option for outdoor seating by the broadwalk with wonderful view of the ocean. The menu has quite good selections of seafood. We had grilled salmon, mahi-mahi fillet and jumbo prawns. Why not?!? This place did not disappoint these hungry travelers. At first we thought it was a bit pricey for an early dinner. Then came the drinks and sushi---take my money!!! I had the why not signature drink - Bourbon and lemon - why not?!? We had the why not signature sushi roll--so good, so fresh, so tasty with mounds of fresh crab and lobster. Then we tried the surf and turf roll--this was amazing, top 4 rolls we've experienced anywhere (from south beach to San Diego to the shores of Hawaii). Came from NY to FL for a weekend. My cousin brought me To the Hollywood boardwalk for a nice evening and bite to eat. There were other restaurants but Why Not stood out for its decor and the fact there were many full seated tables said something to me. Okay, what we came for. Oh my goodness the drinks and food were 10/10 and the cherry on top was our server Stefania. She answered our questions with attentive ears and conversed warmly with us. I'm not going into detail with the specifics of all we ordered but the Shelley street drink and the burgers with fries were amazing! If in the evening there's much wind and the night is brisk, this place is a go to since they have indoor enclosed seating. read more

Super small hole in the wall plate right on the beach in Hollywood FL! We sat out front so we could watch the waves while we ate. They had like 30+ kinds of mojitos and they were so good! The sushi was delicious. I got the lobster roll and there was so much fish, even on top. The mahi burger and fries were also great. The tacos were just okay - wish everything wasn't fried. I wasn't aware of that when I ordered it, and they didn't come out hot. But otherwise we had a great meal and the service was fast and friendly! Nice out door seating even though building is under construction. Our food was fine but my disappointment is with the sidewalk "marketing" by the hostesses/owners. They throw out specials at you as you are walking the boardwalk to bring you in. Ours was, "come on in, 20% off the whole menu" (on a Wednesday night). Then when we get the bill they said it was only for steaks and burgers. Make sure to clarify the specials- there's always a detail they conveniently leave out or switch! Everything is over-priced on the boardwalk but you are getting great ocean views. One of our favorites is Giorgio's, just across the street on the bay side. Reasonably priced with nice meals. read more

Worst experience ever! Waitress dropped an entire tray in my lap, covering my clothes in food, ketchup, and mayonnaise. Offered club soda but the mess was far too extensive for the small spot club soda would usually be used for. We had just arrived to Boardwalk, paid $25 to park, and as soon as we ate had to leave to return to hotel for change of clothing. They offered a "dessert" for the incident which I did not want, and thought that was an appropriate solution. My kids were finished eating before my food even arrived and lunch took twice as long as planned. After all of this had no problem dropping a check for the full amount, not even a discount. The name is why not, awful service with mediocre food is why not. read more

We were visiting Hollywood Beach and found Why Not through all the great Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! Great service and one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! On Feb 1st 2025 my wife & I stopped for a small bite while shopping on Hollywood Beach. We shared the Fettuccine Al Porcini. It cost $25 & was a regular sized portion & was very good. I had a coke with it for $3.50. The total bill was $35.63 with tax & the 18% gratuity included in the bill. Would have considered giving them 5 stars however their chairs are very uncomfortable. read more

We wanted to try here and I placed an online order that's supposed to ready at 2:30pm, but the restaurant is closed. Again, on here and their website, it says they're open. But physically at the restaurant, it's not open, it's dark inside. I call the restaurant at 5pm, when they're supposedly open for dine-in and told me that they called me to discuss my order. I check after and they did call me, but I don't answer unknown numbers and they never left any voice messages. So he tells me they can refund the order, great, problem solved, right? Nope. I get off the phone and then receive an email from someone saying they wanted my address because they'll deliver my order. Confused, I call the restaurant back and end up speaking with someone else. We ask when the order was completed since we placed this order at 2pm? When did they make this order and are deciding to deliver us food that's been sitting for hours? They're telling me that they'll deliver the order, but they don't have the matcha tiramisu, a $9.88 item, so they'll use that as a "delivery fee." I refuse and tell them that their website let me complete the order, we were there to pick-up the order as mentioned on the confirmation, but they weren't open. The matcha tiramisu was processed, why would I get penalized for it? So he then offers to change it with something else, I say okay and give him our address. My husband also checks GPS and tells him how far and how long it'll be to deliver (30+ minutes). The guy says okay, we get off the phone. Problem solved again? Nope. I get an email saying, "We apologize but we won't be able to drop it off. It is too far of a drive for our associate . We'll process a refund as soon as possible." Guess I will wait for my refund since I wasn't told how long it'll be until I receive it. I'd avoid or call before placing orders. This place is crazy and confusing - and not just the hours. Told we'd get refunded, then get our food delivered, then not delivered.

The flavors here for the hot food items are very authentic. This dish doesn't seem to photograph well either but let me tell you, it is awesome! There are big tasty shrimps in there, maybe 6 of them. I ended up going up to the bar and asking for sauce, and by then, my wings were cold. Our waitress finally came back with the sauce, saw it on the table, and said "oh someone else brought it?" I told her I got it myself and she just said okay. I still never got my 10th wing. She disappeared again and now our drinks were empty for a long time and we were out of napkins. Again, I went to the bar. I apologized for bothering them and explained that our waitress disappeared, and the bartender was super nice and helpful. Eventually she came out to check on us and was again surprised that our drinks had been refilled. I again told her that I got them myself. She said she had other tables, which I get, but they definitely weren't busy and the amount of time she was gone was still super excessive. Between basically waiting our table myself, the missing wing, and the dry wings, this was unfortunately my worst ever Flanigan's experience.

My words cannot adequately describe how good the food is at Why Not? I admit, I wasn't expecting much at a beach front place, but boy was I wrong! I had the salmon, which was grilled perfectly, and oh so delicious. sautéed spinach on the side. My dinner companion and I shared the linguine cacio e pepe, which was divine. I also enjoyed a classic Paloma made perfectly with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. To top things off the service was very good by people who really care about their restaurant and their guests. Why Not, is an absolute must-visit! The beachy vibe paired with a warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy incredible food. Our server, Andres, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. We tried the Tony Montana Roll, which was phenomenal, and the Fiocchetti alle Pere e Tartufo, which was simply out of this world. The creamy sauce, sweet pear, and truffle combination was perfection. My gf goes to school in Miami and i come to visit her monthly. After walking around Hollywood beach we decided "why not?" Let me tell you we couldn't have made a better choice. Starting with the service we had a very very nice and helpful hostess and then Sunny, our waiter, was super friendly. Very cozy and clean place and the food is absolutely amazing. The live music was a nice touch to the atmosphere. They had two acts while I was there and both were great.
