OUTSTANDING SERVICE, DELICIOUS FOOD AND BEAUTIFUL DECOR I visited Signor Sassi last night with three friends, and it was an absolutely flawless dining experience from start to finish. Hallandale has been desperately missing a true upscale Italian restaurant, and this gorgeous spot delivers on every single level. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by a stunning, modern and beautifully designed interior. The ambience is elegant, lovely, and incredibly upscale, made even better by the wonderful, live music featured on weekends. They also feature a fantastic bar and a menu that offers a massive selection of classic and contemporary Italian cuisine. To start our evening, we ordered a variety of appetizers to share family style before the main course. The focaccia was fresh, the buffalo mozzarella with balsamic glaze was incredibly flavorful, the ravioli al Tartufo was out of this world delicious and the Bernardo salad came with large, perfectly chilled chunks of shrimp and lobster tossed in a light, flavorful remoulade dressing and surrounded by thin, beautiful avocado slices. It's a total winner and absolutely not to be missed! For my main course, I had the ribeye steak, and it was nothing short of fabulous. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and easily the best steak I have had in a long, long time. Truly, each dish that arrived at our table was somehow even better than the one before it. Beyond the superb food, the service was top-tier. The entire staff was friendly, extremely helpful, attentive and highly professional. There were multiple team members constantly circling to check on us and ensure we were well taken care of, and the kitchen was incredibly prompt with getting the food out. As an added bonus, the restaurant has a spacious outdoor parking lot, making the arrival easy and completely stress-free. Though the drinks were creative and tasty, and the decor was very nice, the food and service left a lot to be desired. Meatballs tasted bland, the spaghetti that came with the chicken parm tasted like chef boy arde. No one wanted to take it home for leftovers. The cannoli was the worst I've had. Ever. read more

We were 4 women dining last night . It was a wonderful evening with fabulous food and music. The manager was fabulous and made sure we had a great dinner. The steaks were cooked perfectly . The faroe salmon was sooo good. All the appetizers were perfect. What made it special was the singer . She was amazing and sang all night. We spent 3 hours there enjoining every minute. This restaurant is very over priced! The waiter tried to tell me that I needed to buy a bottle of water as the water wasn't filtered in Hallandale. We live in three islands and the water is fine! The bread was lousy! Not warm and had no taste! Our two chicken parm's with no liquor and one apple of oysters was over $100 a person! Mateo's has a meatball for $5 and has been in the hood for 30 years! You can get 1/2 orders and the food is sensational including the bread. Not worth going back to this place! read more

WORTH THE HYPE. Food is excellent, we ordered a variety of dishes to eat from, family style. To start, we had the buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto and melon - delish, the burrata with grape tomatoes - also very good, the focaccia - delish, and the meatballs - so yummy (we are an Italian family and are very particular about sauce, and their sauce was great). For our mains we ordered the veal Milanese, which was EXCELLENT, the truffle fiocchetti, also EXCELLENT, and the pappardelle, which was yummy. Desserts were coffee all around, and also very good! The service was excellent, food came out quickly, and we never worried about having our water/wine filled, napkins or cutlery replaced. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and genuinely looked like they enjoyed being with us! The restaurant is beautiful. The decorator did a phenomenal job. The tables don't feel smooshed together, there's plenty of space and the layout is great - and is somehow still cozy. There was live music there tonight performed by someone talented, and it really topped off a wonderful experience. The location in Hallandale is worth the drive from Miami. read more

After reading that we were getting a new hyped restaurant from London we waited impatiently for the opening as we do like to try new restaurants as much as possible. Quite surprised that they opened in of all places Hallandale but then again we were told the whole story as to why they selected here. Our server was Paula and she was extremely enthusiastic and we enjoyed her service and those that would promptly come by and remove our finished dishes and refill water. We started with buffalo mozzarella with sliced small tomatoes. But after checking the bill it appears that they gave us the burrata with tomatoes. The burrata was kind of in a ball and kind of creamy inside with a nice texture. Although not very flavorful it was good and adjoined with small cherry like tomatoes sliced in half and bountiful. Tomatoes weren't sweet but very juicy. We then shared the 36 ounce tomahawk ribeye (bone was significant part of the weight) which was buttery soft and very good. This came with delicious potatoes and broccolini. Price was $218 and perfect for two people. Finished off with a pistachio cake which had a layer of mousse (we're not mousse fans) and have had a lot better. But a side of vanilla gelato was incredibly good. The size of the restaurant is incredibly impressive and very attractive. By the time it was 8 pm all tables were filled and the servers were running around like crazy. Overall the food was good to very good but the Italian restaurant monicker is a little stretch - as the Italian component is not a majority but part of the overall menu with a small variety of steak, seafood, fish, limited pasta and a few pizzas which together (pasta and pizza) were tucked on the back page of the menu and almost missed. Service food and atmosphere all in one! We were looking for a place to meet our friends from Ft Lauderdale for dinner that was about halfway between our home and theirs. We heard about Signor Sassi in Hallandale and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by the Maiter d who made us feel welcome. Our servers name was Kat and she did an amazing job all night long. We were given a complimentary glass of prosecco to start the evening, along with some excellent Foccacia. We ordered two pasta dishes to share between the five of us and it was a perfect amount for a pasta course. We all had an entree and no one was disappointed. I had the Dover sole and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent. We followed dinner up with dessert, coffees and a couple of after dinner drinks. We were never rushed the entire evening and the food timing was perfect. If you are looking for an Italian fine dining experience in the Hallandale area you should definitely give Signor Sassi a try and ask for Kat to be your server. There is only one chance to make a first impression. Signor Sassi far exceeded my expectations from our entrance through ore departure. Ambiance of a New York or Beverly Hills establishment with all the ingredients from great food, wonderful service, comfortable surroundings and no over powering service; but akways there when needed. The pasta dishes were perfectly prepared al dente , the Dover sole filet prepared tabkeside, the meatballs ....everything was excellent. Couldn't try the desserts. Portions are plentiful and no room fir deserts. However the next table haf a pistachio cheesecake that they said was incredible. Our first visit, but not our last. Happy to find such a great new place so close to Aventura. Plenty of parking. read more

Went there for dinner for a friend's birthday. They had been there before and liked it. I didn't have such a good impression of my investigation of it before we went. The reviews were mixed though many people liked it.A few were very disappointed.I find myself with the latter. The food is overpriced. My paparadelli. was al dente nothing special, and a bit salty.I had told them, certainly not to add any extra salt. My dinner companion did not like tuna, appetizer or octopus. The former was too salty.The second was a very small portion of chewy octopus and lots of potatoes and disappointing for the exorbitant price. The people who recommend it and for which one of them we were celebrating a birthday, were also profoundly disappointed in their meal. The service was lackluster. There is a language barrier, as the majority of the waiters are not native English speakers. I asked that the singer sing happy birthday to our birthday girl.And that never happened. I will never go back there. There are many more reasonably priced and acceptable options without paying absorbent prices for fancy environment and lackluster, food and service. read more
