After so many yeas finally found this hidden gem. The owner Carmela welcomes you and makes you feel like family. The meal starts with complimentary soup that is flavor full and perfect for dunking the focaccia bread. I do not recommend one thing since everything was amazing. But I will tell you that the steak tartare was one of the best I have ever had as well as the perfectly smoked burrata, tomatoes and red pepper. The veal Milanese was perfectly cooked and tender but the star was the spaghetti with Vodka sauce (mushrooms and prosciutto). That was outstanding. Four of us visited Sardelli's for dinner on Tuesday March 10. The restaurant does not have a signage except for the valet parking in front of the building. The ambiance as you enter looks classy and on the dark side. We received attention immediately and were seated in the second floor. The menu was straight forward with additional specials recited by the server. The tomato soup was complementary and it was totally delicious. We also ordered calamari and meatball for appetizers. Calamari was good but the meatball was dry - disappointed by all 4 of us. I ordered rigatoni with sausage, meatball, and short rib. It was delicious. My wife ordered chicken parm - it was OK. My son ordered the special pasta with lobster- I was told it was delicious but once we found out it was $90 , it was not nice. Definitely not a $90 dish. My daughter in law had a pasta dish with white sauce. She did not like the fact it was way too salty. We had taken a bottle of wine with $50 corkage fee. We may try to come back again some other time and try other dishes. Hopefully, the server will mention the price when reciting the specials. read more

First time here. 1st Bcareful google maps takes you down the wrong block lol. The food from the FREE soup, to the appetizers, entrees , and finally the dessert they did not miss, did not skip a beat! So good! You're here because you probably saw a food influencer rave about this place. You might read up on recent reviews. Here's the REAL DEAL on Sardelli's based on my experience on Saturday. Valet? It's there but when we went it was blocked and no one to be found. We parked in the parking garage two blocks away. $18 for just over an hour. Hostess? Wonderful, sat us immediately and was friendly. Service? IN OUR FACES CONSTANTLY. Three different guys working together to serve us, checking up on us every six minutes. Rushing us. Asking us for our order before our drinks arrived. Interrupting our conversation. One of them spit a little when he talked. He offered us their focaccia bread. Sure, sounded good. Glad he brought it out before he asked us for our dinner order a second time. It was as if they were racing to see how quickly they could get us out of the restaurant. And you know they brought us the check quickly too. Bad service, which no one seems to mention on here or in social media reviews. Ambience? We were only on the first floor. Small dining room. It's meant to be dark and romantic, it came off as a room from the Haunted Mansion from Disney World. Was that a ghost that came to our table?! No, just one of the annoying waiters badgering us again. Food? Honestly, good news here. That focaccia? Delicious. I ordered the pappardelle bolognese and you could tell the pasta noodles were fresh and homemade. The pre-meal soup "compliments of the chef" that literally every single person gets? Very good, maybe the best part. Wife has the snapper francese, she didn't really love it. We tried the potato croquettes and they were gross. Lucky for us, the server told us he didn't like them either. Hey, thanks for mentioning that AFTER we ordered them! Price? Yeah they must think they're part of Disney World. Two drinks (not strong), two dinners and that focaccia that - surprise! - cost $25 (none of the three servers mentioned that either) totaled to $150 before tip. We were out in just under an hour. Carmela should know better. If she's going to have a five star restaurant then she needs six-star service. We're locals and we are sure we won't be back. What a beautiful spot right on the ocean. We had a large group of 8, they put us at a nice table on the 3rd floor and we had a wonderful evening. I love the setup of the restaurant. We were next to the kitchen area where they make the breads (and pastas) in house. Our server, Robert, was fabulous and the food was great. Loved the focaccia bread. The arugula salad was light and delicious and the raviolo was delightful. Who can say no to a ravioli stuffed with goozy egg yolk in a sage brown butter sauce? Mmm. The amuse buche was excellent - the soup dish. Fantastic! My sister in law was in town for her baby shower and birthday so we decided to throw her a surprise party with 22 of her closest friends. She loves Italian and had been wanting to come to Sardelli's for a while so we made it happen. The place looks small when you arrive but once you go inside, you see that it's a restaurant that uses each floor as a unique dining room for its guests. Our floor had its own bar and an outside patio. We all fit along with other outside guests enjoying their meals as well. I lived the hip hop music playing in the background. Vibes were old school Italian food with new school beats and ambiance. Servers and bar tenders were amazing and accommodating. They even brought out special dishes for those with dietary restrictions and allergies. As for the food, everything was delicious. The spicy rigatoni was my personal favorite. The focaccia was also spot on. The steak was really tender and although I don't eat pork, many at the table raved about the carbonara. The chef came out to check on us a few times and was overall such a delight. It really felt like we were home having a Sunday family dinner. read more

Despite this being a steakhouse, and my usual instinct to order the filet, I couldn't pass up the Gnocchetti Sardi. I'm glad I didn't. The braised veal shank was rich and comforting, perfectly complemented by parmigiano, thyme, truffle butter, and veal broth. It was soulful, balanced, and memorable--an unexpected standout! We also enjoyed the Orecchiette with spicy sausage and rapini, where the garlic and oil were beautifully restrained, letting the bitterness of the greens and the heat of the sausage play together without overpowering the dish. Dessert sealed the night. An Espresso Martini paired with a slice of tiramisu would have been a perfect ending on their own; together, they put an exclamation point on the entire experience. We had the meatball special with ricotta, rapini and sausage Orecchiette, pumpkin ravioli and the smoked burrata. The burrata was my favorite thing we ate, by far. We basically devoured it! I tried making a reservation online, but there were no options for a table for 2 on a Saturday night. I had signed up on their reservation website. I decided to call and talk to somebody about the possibility of walk-ins. The person who answered saw my name pop up on caller ID and I guess their reservation site. In a few seconds, I went from just an informational phone call to having a reservation for two and feeling welcome. Nice, smooth process. Impressive. We showed up a little early and were immediately shown to a nice table for two by the window. Service was excellent. The wine list was a book. I chose a glass of Pinot noir, after first considering a $6,000.00 bottle from Napa Valley 2019...ahhh, a good year, 2019. For an appetizer, I had a stuffed Cubanelle pepper. Bowls of complimentary creamy asparagus appeared first. So rich and tasty. Then I got the 20-oz. Porcini mushroom ribeye steak. My wife ordered an avocado salad that she proclaimed to be the best salad she ever had. Considering that she almost always says she could make anything better herself at home, that was an unprecedented compliment. There is valet parking available for $10, but we got lucky and found a parking metered spot by the beach. (I really dislike the concept of valet parking).We went for a stroll on the broad walk after dinner and enjoyed the weather and views. read more

We came here for the first time last night to celebrate my 30th birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! Especially the veal chop special, lobster pasta special, chicken parm, and steak tartare. The cocktails were divine. One of the best lychee martinis I've ever had and they have a great selection of wine. The reason I am leaving 4 stars is because of the service. We had an 8:30 PM reservation and did not sit down until about 8:45 because they were really busy. By 9 PM a server still had not come to our table and we didn't even have water. We were very upset- a table next to us actually got up and left. My husband went down to speak to the owner and I can say that the situation was handled immediately. Let me start off by saying I love how cool this restaurant is set up inside of a house and it's multiple floors. When you walk in it's very chic and upscale. Immediately the first thing you also see is the bar and open kitchen which I love. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on their menu and can help you navigate the menu to make the best choices. The steak and the mushrooms was amazing the day from the steak melted in our mouths. Also the calamari is delicious they fry it and toss it in their red sauce which is delicious. They have a great wine menu with many selections for you to chose from which I loved as well as an assortment of cocktails. During a parking-related dispute involving this restaurant, the behavior of the staff became completely unacceptable. The head chef responded to my husband with explicit profanity ("fuck you") during the argument. Shortly after, another employee -- a young male without a name tag (possibly a cook or waiter) -- approached us and made a direct threat, stating that he would "find us and kill us." Regardless of any disagreement, verbal abuse and threats of violence are never acceptable, especially from employees of a business serving the public. This review is a warning to others. I visited this steakhouse for a business meal, drawn in by all the hype surrounding it. We began with meatballs, shrimp, and calamari. The meatballs, though decent, were served at room temperature and lacked flavor. The sweet and spicy shrimp were excellent--large, crispy, and full of flavor. The calamari, however, was just okay, with a somewhat chewy texture. The roasted tomato soup and bread that followed were both delicious. For my main course, I ordered the steak and eggs, which was supposed to be topped with truffle oil, though I couldn't taste it. The filet was cooked to perfection, and while the dish was unique, it unfortunately lacked depth in flavor. My coworker had the Bone-In New York Strip, which looked impressive and more flavorful. As for the sides, I tried the sautéed spinach, which was quite good, but the roasted potatoes and potato croquettes were underwhelming--both were average and very bland. The highlight of the meal was the cannoli dessert, which was the best I've ever had. Service was good; everyone was super friendly but slow. The waiter hit my head when clearing the table. He apologized and then tried to make a joke asking if I wanted him to do it again. This dinner was $300 for my husband and me since our equally group split the $3,000 bill. OVERPRICED!!! Drinks and food tasted great! I had 2 glasses of Cabernet wine, preset appetizers (soup and salad), 22 oz bone in ribeye with wine sauce, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and preset dessert. Went for the first time time on my Birthday , May 21. Was looking forward to my first Veal Chop Parm. Nice cozy spot, family feel. Drinks were nice ,a bit pricey, to be expected. The Shrimp Tempura app was very good as was the Carbonara. However the $70 Veal was not white meat veal, but dark grey and tasted old and salty, big disappointment. Fish was good, small portion served on top of cold potato puree, but well prepared.Service was very good. I regret not complaining but otherwise nice meal. I have recommended this amazing steak house to anybody that will listen. I work in the resort industry about 300 feet away and have eaten here on several occasions. The food is perfect every single time and the old fashions are best in the city. Prices and atmosphere are far superior to the bigger guys a few blocks (those are great too, for diff reasons).
