The flavors in ALL the dishes just make me close my eyes attempting to enjoy the tastes just a bit more. The "Gnocchetti Sardi" is amazingly succulent with flavors, I find it difficult to order anything else. First time we ordered a middle course and all food landed on the table, pasta and 2 steaks. Big mistake. I think all servers we had are inexperienced or just have so many tables coz we constantly have empty glassware, the food hits the table before having cutlery changed and just have to flag someone down for things. This is a high end establishment and I think these errors should not occur. Cocktails are always on point! Had dinner on the balcony with some colleagues. Unlike other restaurants in the area , this one is more cozy . We had the calamari with spicy marinara sauce , Greek salad ( they put avocado which makes it more of a mex salad ) to share . I had the lamb chops ( cut is a bit on the thick side and wished it's grilled rather than with sauce ). My colleagues had the meat pasta , veal scallopini and branzino. The winners were the veal and branzino. I tried the pasta which I thought was good. The servers had a good sense of humor and made the dinner more fun ( company excluded ). I do wish they would implement a dress code, since a lot of people go dressed up, but then you'll see someone in jeans and sneakers or shorts and flip flops More importantly, the food. And once you place your order, they roll out with some complimentary soups, which vary, but are all DELICIOUS! This time we had some kind of garlic cream soup We ordered the ribeye covered in mushrooms, it was perfectly cooked and such a tender and juicy cut! It could've used a bit more salt, but I like things on the saltier side. We ordered a Ceasar salad, which was nice. Also ordered the carbonara which was soo good, super creamy, and loads of pancetta! Ordered the Nebbiolo which was an easy drink, full bodied, it was great, and didn't break the bank, at only $62. Ordered the croquettes as a side. They were big, crunchy, and creamy filling. But, all in all, not a show stopper. Could've used some salt and acidity. We finished with the cannolis, also very good. Perfectly sized, not too big, not too small, not too sweet, and crunchy. In town for meetings and we always go grab a good steak. Sardelli did not disappoint! Had the 22 oz bone in ribeye, twice baked potato and the meal also came with a soup. Was told it was a vegetable bisque. Very good. My coworkers both had the 8 oz fillet and shared s Cesar salad. They enjoyed their meal as well. This was a "so-so" experience for me. I have many friends who have recommended this spot, however I must say I was a tad disappointed. Let's start with the good! The atmosphere is very unique- the restaurant is located in a townhome type building right on the beach. It's very pretty, and valet was incredibly easy. When entering, we had no wait and were taken to our table right away. Service was prompt, and the waiter was very knowledgeable. We started with espresso martinis, which were great as well. Now, onto the food.... This is where I started to become a little less than impressed. We ordered the steak tar tar as an appetizer. This is one of my favorite dishes to have at a nicer restaurant/steakhouse. When Sardeli's version of this dish came out I was a tad confused..... celery and tomato in a steak tar tar?? It seemed like a chicken salad but with minced steak instead...... flavor was ok, but it just wasn't something I would get again. We also decided to share the rigatoni which was really yummy! I was happy with that dish. Lastly..... we got the 8oz filet. This was absolutely TERRIBLE! We had asked for it medium rare. Upon cutting into the steak, it was cooked blue. It looks like it was put on an overly hot grill, seared on all sides, and then put on the plate. The inside of the steak was completely raw and cold. We each tried a bite anyway (of the outside of the steak) and it tasted very game-like. This is really odd for a steak.... Makes me think it was old/bad. I would never get a steak from this place after that experience. Too many other good spots to risk it. I would come back here for a drink and maybe some pasta, but the "meat" portion of their menu I would never re visit. read more

What a sweet secret hidden steps from the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk! This large 4 story building/home houses an elegant, charming and understated restaurant. It was so unexpected to find a restaurant worthy of special occasions, date nights or local's regular stops in a beach town known for its super casual boardwalk. I was sooo happy about this discovery! The sweet woman Carmen, who answers the phone and seats guests at their tables is just lovely. She is the Matriarch of the family and the business and her love of the restaurant shows. I heard she does the baking and I saw her leave with cake pans sticking out of her purse. Adorable!! The first floor room is small, dark and cozy. The bar area and chandeliers create a vintage supper club feel. We sat at a corner table in front of a window that let in the last moments of light before sunset. It all felt so right. Our server and his team were wonderful. They were so attentive and offered professionalism reminiscent of a long career of caring for diners. I could not have asked for more when it came to hospitality. Our martinis were shaken to perfection and the wine list was diverse and interesting. The menu offers classic American cuisine and interesting Italian options. The Chef/Owner and the kitchen team were spot on. A lovely cream of vegetable soup was brought out to begin our meal complimentary. It was creamy yet light - delicious. One of the specials was Avocado Salad. It was a beautiful mix of veggies in a light vinaigrette. The presentation of the Smoked Burrata was fun. We loved everything we ordered. Verdict - 2 out of 5 Ribeyes The restaurant is set in a beautiful styled house with 3 floors right off the main road within Hollywood, Fl. As we had reservations, we were immediately seated and greeted by our waitress. She was very friendly as she announced each of the specials. Ordered a variety of appetizers, each were delicious with great presentation. Between appetizers and entrees, we were surprised by complimentary bowls of vegetable soup by the chef. The soup was tasty alongside the appetizers but the entrees were good but not to the level of expectation for the price that you paid. The lamb chops were mainly fat and the mushroom ribeye lacked flavor. It smelled good due to the fungi but lacked flavor. Short ribs and pappardelle were definitely the winners and fresh. I initially request "Happy 65th Birthday" and to be given after desserts or after-drinks are given but was immediately after dinner with no resting break, my mother-in-law was given molten lava cake and vanilla ice cream alongside written "65" for her birthday before the rest of the table ordered dessert. The reason for the rating is due to the quality of food that reflected the price of the evening. unfortunately,If was not justified. In a location that is nearly a drive away from Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, or even Miami that is littered with established restaurants... especially one that are not constantly adjusting the lights. read more

WOW!! Sardelli was absolutely delicious!!! We went for my besties fathers birthday and we reserved space at the bar which was fun!! Pamela was the bartender and she was awesome! We started off with drinks and had to try the giant meatball (we got 2 for 6 people) for an appetizer and it was excellent!! We also had warm bread that was tasty!! I had the rigatoni and it was perfect! It came with sausage, meatball and braised beef I believe! I was in heaven!! The bartender brought out dessert for the birthday boy and it was pretty good cheesecake, but not my favorite or the best I've ever had. The service was a bit slow, I'm not sure if that's the norm or if it's because we were on the third floor so it took a while for our server to come back and forth. You have to put your appetizer and order in at the same time. They don't come out at the same time, but I guess this is to alleviate space in the 1 small elevator. One server left to see if there was gluten free pasta available as one of us has a gluten allergy. She took 15 minutes to return and told us gluten free pasta was available but couldn't say what other items on the menu were gluten free, so that took another 15 minutes. It was close to a hour before we could put food in, which was annoying only because they have that rule about ordering appetizers at the same time. Finally, we were able to put food in once she was able to provide more information about the menu. Cocktails were very good and food was delicious. Recommended by a friend who lives there, we came here for Sat night dinner. Not bad. It's definitely a pizza place and not much of an Italian place. The pizza selection is huge, the rest of the menu not so much variety. I was surprised to see that you cannot get just a glass of prosecco but you had to get a bottle. Wow!! Where have I been! What a unique spot to have a gorgeous four story restaurant next to the beach in a residential area. Just a heads up, they do have valet. We did not realize this and were frantically looking for a spot to not miss our reservation. Then to find out we needed to download "another" parking app which took some patience. So save yourself the stress, and valet. We called to let them know we were running late, and they were so kind to welcome us. We were greeted by the matriarch of the family owned business. Carmen is just lovely. I would love to sit with her and listened to her family history. The service was prompt, however not uncomfortable. The young man filling water, I feel like may be new in learning proper etiquette, and balancing a busy evening. Our waiter had great suggestions and was caring. They gave a complimentary delicious soup while we were waiting. We had Caesar salad that was plentiful for two. The raviolo was ricotta, spinach, egg yolk that was so delicious! I kept forgetting to take photos because everything was so delicious. The butternut squash ravioli was perfect. We definitely want to go back so we can try more items. They have a floor that can be set up for a private party. Yes there is an elevator! Each floor is unique and feels like a different vibe. The have a beautiful bar as well. I just can't say enough. This is a beautiful restaurant a few feet from the beach in Hollywood, the service is very good but the food is hit or miss, the complimentary vegetable bisque is great and so was the the sweet and spicy appetizer that we had but the veal chop parmigiana was nothing special and the fettuccine carbonara was flavorless and the pancetta used was very oily. That's how much my friends & I enjoyed it. I was a bit skeptical when trying to make the reservation, since they r not on Open Table. The reservation was taken, but I was told someone would call back to confirm, especially since I requested a private room. No one called back, so a week later I called to confirm & was told I would b put on the 3rd or 4th floor for a private room. Unfortunately, they never mentioned it was going to b a $100 charge & tried to add it to the bill. They were really good about taking it off the bill, with no fuss! Our server was Carlos & he was so attentive, funny, & just an all around good guy! He made me a drink that was so yummy! I told him I wanted something sweet, but not too strong! It was perfect!
