That's where Total Home WiFi came in. Adam and Chris did a walkthrough, and after discussing the options, they gave a fair quote. They did the work in one day, installing ports in four rooms, and two WiFi booster hubs at the ends of the house. They also set up security cameras on the outside of the property. He took it apart and recovered all my files then spent the next 3 hours trying to fix it. At first, we thought it would be a virus but it was actually the hardware itself. First, he offered replaced the hard drive for me. (He had an extra one lying around and he quoted me a really good price.) That did not work so he replaced the RAM. That did not work either. The only thing left was the motherboard and the computer was overheating no matter how much compressed air he sprayed on it. After all that, he called to tell me that my dear little netbook was "totaled" and it would be cheaper for me to buy a new one than for him to keep replacing parts and racking up the labor. After all that, he said he would only charge me for the first hour of labor. Who does that these days?! No one! I am so thankful for his honesty and his efficiency.
