I returned to this location after my last review. The owner contacted me, and resolved the situation regarding the young employees that were working there and evidently needed more training. The owner cares about his business and the customers' experience. Their frozen custard...the best, it's Whit's! Original review: "We've been to this location twice. The first time it was a fantastic experience, the owner was working at the store, the service was friendly, and the store was clean. We went on Mother's Day in the evening, and the experience was different. There were four teenagers 'working'. Service was not friendly, the store was dirty (tables and floors). The employees were loud and unprofessional (goofing around, using cell phones, and playing with each other's hair). The other clients at the store looked uncomfortable. We absolutely love Whit's. Yet the manager could use a lesson on customer service. She is so busy socializing that what I am guessing are high schoolers working their tail's off. Not a great leader or role model. Kudos to the kids working hard!!! Oh-I guess the manager is the owner--my statement holds. This was a terrific custard spot. Interesting flavor combos. Today was carrot cake and it was so tasty! Really wanted the Almond Joy but it was sold out. Settled on the Hawaiian luau and did not disappoint. Got it mixed. Well blended chunks, but not over done. The custard had a perfect mouthfeel of smooth silky texture. Nephew got a banana split mixed (see photo) it was spot on. Really intrigued by Cheerwine float. May have to come back for that. Worth the stop and will come again. read more

The ice cream sandwich are bomb! They always have the best flavors. They have me coming back over and over.

So excited to welcome Whit's to the WGV area. The store is gorgeous and in such a great spot. The owner and staff are lovely and welcoming. Whit's frozen custard offers vanilla and chocolate custard daily, along with a daily rotating flavor. Cups, cones, sundaes, shakes, floats, and blended Whitsters. The specialty names are localized too, like the pictured St. Augustine Sunset (vanilla custard with hot fudge, raspberry and macadamia nuts. The Tocoi Creek Madness was named in honor of our new high school with peanut butter and PB cups! (Go Toros!) Highly recommend and can't wait to return! read more

The Whit's frozen custard is amazing and reason enough to visit. But what makes this place extra special is the people. Teresa and Jamie are great people and pillar's in the community. They can often be found at the near by schools and community events donating their time and custard. The teenagers they employ enjoy the atmosphere so much that many of them come in just to hang out on their days off. Providing a safe space for our young people to hang out and enjoy sweet treats really makes this place special. read more

I just went into Whits at Murabella. The guy who helped me was so nice. I asked if he could make a special mixture for me in a quart size. I wanted the flavor of the day (pistachio almond) mixed with vanilla, and I wanted it in a quart size. And he was so sweet and catered to my odd order. The old owners would never let me order a flavor of the day in a quart size. The old owners would always say I would have to come back the next day if I wanted a quart, and if there was any left, then I'd be lucky to get any. But the new owners thankfully are running things differently!!! I love being able to get quart sizes filled with the flavor of the day!!! Whits is the bomb!!! read more

Website says they're open till 10pm but we were told they stop serving at 9:30pm upon arriving. Got there at 9:50 (which I know is close to closing time) and the staff told us they were out of everything they needed to make milkshakes. Open sign was still lit when we arrived and we were told we couldn't be helped. Stood in line for 5 minutes before hearing this while employees watched us stand there, they walked to the back and waited until 10pm. read more

The custard and flavors were delicious! The flavor today was strawberry shortcake and it was so yummy. The staff were so friendly and kind to my children even when they couldn't decide exactly what flavor they wanted and what kind of cone or cup they wanted. After being contacted by the company asking if I would give them another try and I did. Have to say that they meant what they said about improving on service and consistency of menu items. I still do not agree with their tipping system. A person is asked at checkout to tip before receiving their menu items. How do you know if your service will be good or if the menu item will be as expected? Lots of places do this but that doesn't make it right. Tipping is for good service. You can't tip for good service if you haven't received it yet. Other than that, I highly recommend you try Whits. read more
