I visited the nursery to find house plants to replace some that didn't make it. :-/ The grounds are filled with outdoor plants, and there's a greenhouse filled with house plants. And to my surprise, Ms. Rebecca Whitfill extended an invitation to tour the nursery!! Oh boy, was I excited! We hopped into a golf cart, and off we went. She showed me a variety of trees and landscaping needs. Ms. Rebecca also shared the history of the nursery. What a treat! So adorable and friendly. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I left with plenty of plants, tips, and memories! Accessible entrance.

Signage, but also, hilarious.

Excellent nursery with excellent prices. They have herbs, veggies, fruit trees, indoor plants, outdoor plants, shrubs, flowers, vines, etc. They have it all. It's a huge nursery. If you need help, there is staff on hand. I bought a 1 gallon Star Jasmine for $18, mind you it's 4ft tall! It's like a little tree. Impressive pricing. They also have pots, mulch, glass hummingbird feeders (bought one!) among other things. But don't take my word for it, come and have a look! They have their own parking lot which is nice so you don't have to worry about parking.

On the recommendation of a friend, I visited Whitfill's in North Phoenix about two weeks ago. I have been on a hunt for some nice-looking pots. Most places I had been to had just a few colors (white, blue, terracotta), but as I drove by last week, I saw an array of colorful pots. Taking that friend's advice, I went back and was not disappointed. I purchased three pots, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Bonus points for their ability to deliver, which I have discovered is not commonplace. Frank walked the pot area with me and tagged everything for delivery. Knowing they soon would be delivering my pots, I thought now was the time to purchase the shade tree I have been wanting. So, last week I went back to Whitfill's. Billy took me around the lot and gave me some great advice. After talking with him, I decided against my original plan and went with a different tree. Aside from what appears to be a genuine willingness to help their customers, they appear to be a full-service nursery, as when they deliver everything, they are going to plant the tree and the one vine I purchased. Knowing it will be done right and that they stand behind their product/work is reassuring. Today, the pots, vine, and tree were delivered and planted. The crew could not have been more helpful. They were thorough, placed everything where I wanted them, and explained the care for my tree. And, they cleaned everything up! They have an incredible selection of flowers, potted plants, vegetables, herbs, and succulents. They appear to have it all, plus everything you need to plant and maintain your garden. I have not had great luck in the past with a number of nurseries, but I think I have found a winner! And, based on the number of people that were there today, so have others.

I really like this nursery. It's been a tradition for a several years to get a Christmas tree here. They have a free hot chocolate, popcorn, candy canes and cookies to enjoy while selecting your tree. However, this year the cheapest tree started at $149. Last year I remember trees starting at $119. I understand some years trees go up in price due to environmental conditions. However, the next day I was at Lowe's and saw a very equivalent fresh trees for less than $100. I really like the Christmas tree buying experience at Whitfill. Yet, next Christmas I will look at Lowe's first.

Best place to get your starter veggies. Love going here with my grandkids and the staff is always super friendly and helpful

Seeds? They have seeds!

Whitfill is a LONG time Phoenix family nursery. Their selection and knowledgeable staff make this a reliable place to fill your garden, decorate for Christmas, and plant a tree that will be a lifetime addition to your home. I bought a Chinese Pastiche for my kids house today. It will be shading their house for the next two generations. Their pricing is on the high side, but your are paying for good quality and service here at Whitfill

If you need anything for your yard or garden you can very probably get it here. They have an excellent selection of trees, especially mature citrus trees. If you need help getting around, you can get a ride on a golf cart. The prices seem quite reasonable but I'm not an expert on tree prices. Go here, you won't be disappointed.

This is a nice tree, and no olives!

great trees, great staff, even greater value for the money spent. I highly recommend Paul at Witfill Nursey to guide you towards your planting goals!!

Farm truck in the front for a nice photo op (there is a bench to the right to sit on as well)

Horrible service by the older women. Rude and unfriendly. I've been going there for years, but no longer.

The greenhouse manager personally assured us she would tag it with my name and hold it until we arranged pickup. Over the weekend, they sold it to someone else. We found out when we showed up today to pick up the tree we had already paid for. Staff left us sitting alone for 15 minutes while they tried to figure out where it went. Nobody came back to update us, so I had to walk to the front myself to learn it was gone. When I asked for my money back and told them how disappointed I was, all I got were blank stares and what felt like a condescending apology, like I was inconveniencing them! Not one person acknowledged that they failed us. Nobody said "this is on us." Nobody said "our system broke down and we'll work to be better." No offer to find a replacement. No discount on a future purchase. No manager stepping in. Nothing. That's not a one-off mistake that could be recovered from; it's bad customer service and there's no recovering from that. A nursery's word should mean something. Here, a "hold" from their greenhouse manager means nothing. They made the mistake and then made it worse with their indifference. If you buy from Berridge, put it in your car before you leave, because a paid-for plant with your name on it isn't safe overnight. Better yet, take your business somewhere that honors its commitments and acknowledges when they mess up.

Not only do we go to them during the holidays but rely on them throughout the year when we need additional plants and trees for our backyard. We first started using Whitfill back in the early 2000's when they were on 40th street south of Roeser. We literally lived across the street from their nursery and when they moved to their current spot on Southern we followed! We have decades of photos with our boys standing next to the tree they choose for Christmas and the tradition continues now with our Sphynx cats! They used to have a peacock walking around but unfortunately he is no longer there. They are pet friendly and we are comfortable taking our cats there in the stroller. Not only are their prices and tree selections the best in town but their customer service and knowledge of anything tree related is vast! They know what they are doing and don't try to upsell or get you to buy unnecessary items. They are the real deal!

I shouldn't need to walk all the way back up front to ask -- and I've been giving the wrong information before anyhow. Its important to know what kind of plant you're buying for multiple reasons. The other Whitfill location (off Guadalupe and Cooper) doesn't have this issue. Overall I think the plants are pretty healthy but after having an issue with lack of labeling (on both the kind of plant and pricing), having been given the wrong plant info on a plant, and after having asked if they had Pink Fairy Duster and being sent off in a direction to wander and never find it on my own, I'm really over this location.

The last time I went I bought flowers that died way too fast. It was even before it got too hot as the listed recomendated heat was fine. Since they were really cheap I did not care too much. However, the staff did give me some misinformation on the product. Say la vie. Today I went again. I had a very specialized DIY need. While the worker I stopped was super friendly she did not really have any ideas to help me with my request/project. Maybe this is more an unreasonavble expectation I have from workers who work in places like this to help me in areas I am not as knowledable about. Sorry if that is the case. I won't hold it against them. I only went in person because I had to measure and size match on a product and did not want to risk a wrong online purchase. When I went I pay they only had self checkout. I am not a fan of self check out. The place is exactly what it is and what you think it should be. The parking lot is huge so no issues with that.

I bought these appliances and scheduled to have them installed by the lowes professionals. A few weeks later, my fridge and oven come in and I am so excited. Except the fridge is too wide for the space. I tell the installer I want to refuse it due to the fact it is too big and I want to exchange it. He tells me he already cut the power cord to my old refrigerator making it now unoperable. So I have this huge fridge in the middle of my kitchen now that does not fit but I am stuck with it because I have no other option to store my food. The installer knows he messed up and leaves without installing the oven either. The next day I wake up to the smell of all of my food in my fridge now rotton. Since the installer never installed it, just plugging it in (which I did when he left) did not turn it on. Now hundreds of dollars of food has now gone bad. AND MY OVEN IS STILL NOT INSTALLED. I go to Lowes, spend hours there getting it taken care of. They set up another service date for them to come out and install the oven they were supposed to install last week. They give me a time of 12-4pm. They get here at 10am when I am in a work meeting and my phone is on silent. They do not knock on the door and they just leave. I am now having to call to get it RESCHEDULED FOR THE THIRD TIME. for tomorrow. Can't gurarntee they will even show up when they say they will. I AM ABSOLUTELY LIVID AT THIS EXPERIENCE. DO NOT..WHATEVER YOU DO.. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HERE AND HAVE THEM INSTALL THEM. THEY ARE HORRENDOUS AND DO NOT CARE AT ALL.
