Amazing winery! This property was huge and it blew my mind - It had the perfect indoor and outdoor spaces for large groups with a picturesque view of the vineyard, how did I miss it all these years. We took the wine tasting experience (through Marriott) and it was just perfect. Aubrey - Our guide was so entertaining and knowledgeable. He was graciously pouring all the wines to us and sharing details about each wine They served cheese and crackers at the end of the tour too. Most importantly it is KID-FRIENDLY!! We took our 3-year old son and he enjoyed the tour as well (he enjoyed the treats more )

We visited Whitehall Lane last weekend. As the last winery of the trip, we had high hopes, and even then Whitehall rose above that. The wines itself were quite good, but what really made our visit special was our guide Aubrey. He really went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs, and is very knowledgeable about all of the wines. Highly recommend adding Whitehall as a stop in your next Napa trip!

We loved Whitehall, stunning view! Barbara was so knowledgeable of the vineyard, The wine and the process. We learned so much and will be back soon!

Came here with 4 girl friends for our first stop of the trip. We did a tour and tasting with Aubrey and he awesome and so much fun. Loved the 2014 millennium cab, would definitely come back!

We booked a complimentary tasting through our hotel and had the best time here. Aubrey was our host and he was incredible - so warm, welcoming, and genuinely treated us like family. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even with our toddler in tow, which we really appreciated. The winery itself is beautiful - modern indoor tasting area with big windows and gorgeous views, plus a charming outdoor space with swings and cozy seating. It's the kind of place where you want to linger. They also offered a lovely selection of local cheese and crackers that paired perfectly with the wines. This was easily one of the highlights of our Napa trip. We're definitely coming back-and recommending it to all our friends!

Came in a bit early for our 4pm tasting reservation and was guided by Jake. We were told they were preparing the winery for an event so there were tables set up throughout the barrel room. I was a bit disappointed because we were not taken to walk thru the room and missed out on some potentially awesome photos. Jake was knowledgeable and informed us of the fermentation process that only 7 bottles were left undergoing, quite interesting. We were then guided upstairs to their beautiful tasting room where we remained the rest of the tasting. The seats in the tasting room are private front facing booths that overlook the vineyard. We were seated in the back booths, furthest from the windows so our view was obstructed. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary cheese and nuts. They also provided some prepackaged sour dough corn bread crackers which we ended up devouring later on in our trip. Jake even offered us a to go container for left overs which was incredibly thoughtful. The wines were great and reasonably priced. I wish we got a bit of alone time to talk amongst ourselves and to take more photos. Overall, great winery, we ended up purchasing a bottle. Would return!

So our last stop the wine tasting day with my good friend, @Robert J no I guess that doesn't work!! So anyway we arrived at the last place of Whitehall Lane Winery which stands prominently on Route 29 just before you get to St. Helena business area. We got in and spoke to Jake and unfortunately it was Jake's first week there and he didn't know much but he did walk us way out back to their outside patio! Where we finished the bubbles that we were poured earlier!! And then Jake brought us a mini cheese plate which was really nice!! Then we tried their Sauvignon Blanc and it was delicious I gave it a 4.1 and said this: Quite delicious SB and it had flavors of citrus, pear skin, Meyer lemon, grapefruit pith, green apple, and minerality and some jalapeño which is great!! Then we tried the Chardonnay from Petaluma Gap which has 30% new oak, the rest Stainless steel! I like it- it's a great wine! It's a nice balance between Chablis and Napa Chardonnay with medium minus acidity and easy drinking well with flavors of toast and buerre and citrus!! And then we had Jake's version of Pinot Noir which is a simple fruity style not the best wine. And after that we had the Cabernet named Mancino Lanciatore Casual elegance and from a rougher styled wine, as described by Jake from the winery!! It is more casual than the other cabs I've experienced today!! It has softer flavors of Blackberry juice and oak, vanilla, blueberry, cherry, cedar, light tobacco, baking spice, it's an easy drinker!! And finally we tried the big Daddy of their Cabs named from the Leonardini Vineyard Exquisite 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and it's from a prime vineyard in St. Helena at $125.00 the higher end for this winery!! I get intricate flavors of oak cherry blackberry jam, plum, chewing tobacco, old leather pants, bittersweet chocolate, toast, cedar box, and white pepper!! Excellent wine. Afterwards we went back up to the tasting room and tried their Malbec Quality Malbec with great body. It's full bodied and has tannins. 99% Malbec and 1% Merlot with flavors of blueberry, old leather, oak, fresh rolling tobacco, cherry, smoke, forest floor, earthiness, with great body and medium plus tannins and medium acidity! And lastly we had their dessert wine, named Belimuscato made from Orange Muscat and it has flavors of honey peach apricot dried apricot!! And I rated it 4.4/5.0. Then we were done and both of us purchased the SB and I also got the Chardonnay and the Malbec at a 30% industry discount!!

I really enjoyed this wine tasting experience with Aubrey. He's very kind, knowledgeable, and has great customer care. He goes above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our wines. I was with my sister and 2 Swiss/Italian gentleman that drink wine on the daily. He's so nice and made sure we got the tour and explained each wine and where it's from. This is my 2nd experience here and RJ also treated us really well the last time we were here. Thank you!!!

This weekend I stumbled upon a gem in St. Helena-Whitehall Lane Winery! The main tasting room features a bar tasting experience, and they have a private members only tasting room upstairs, as well a bocce court and gazebo behind the property. They offer several different tasting experiences, ranging from $30 - $90 per person depending on the experience. Everything I tasted was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to return! Be sure to stop in for a tasting at Whitehall Lane. Cheers

Mancino Lanciatore Cab Sav is delicious!!

Aubry was a wonderful host, we loved the tasting out in the back vineyard. We mostly loved the Pinot, the 22 cab and the cheese plates!

The Leonardini family has run this vineyard since 1993 or so and I find this a great place to take visitors and tourists to a place that is not far up 29. RJ is the tasting room manager and runs a great shop. They have a nice little retail store as well. Visiting here is very easy right off 29 and definitely in my rotation when I am playing non-drinking tour guide for my out of town friends. Grgich Hills and Whitehall Lane make a great 1-2 punch if you are traveling from SF and don't have time to drive far north in the valley.

Nice people, interesting tour great cheese and excellent 2015 Cab This is my very high praise

Excellent, down to earth service and beautiful grounds. The wine is not bad either . Known for their excellent pinot and merlots, this family run operation delivers on the intimate feels and great quality wines. Love going to here

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

I came across the Legacy Cave Tour, which is adults-only and offers a lower fee for non-drinkers, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the online booking didn't work for me, so I had to call to make the reservation. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk gave me a bit of a weird vibe. After looking up our reservation, she said, "Oh, indeed you do have a reservation." It just felt like an odd response, like... why wouldn't we? is it because we're brown? We arrived a little early, so we spent some time browsing the gift shop upstairs. That's where we met our guide, Will, who was lovely, friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, and he asked if we'd been given a birthday sticker. Apparently they offer special occasion stickers at the front, which the check-in woman never mentioned, but Will made sure we got one, which was a nice touch. The tour itself was a small group, which I really liked. We went into the cave, and for those drinking, the tour included 3 wines. It was interesting learning about the history of Beringer Vineyards, and again, Will did a great job explaining everything. One thing I do wish they offered: for non-drinkers, it would be nice to have something like grape juice or a non-alcoholic option during the tour. There were a few of us in that situation, and it felt a little odd not having anything to sip on. After the tour, we walked the grounds, which was really nice. It's free to explore the property and browse the gift shop, which makes it a pleasant stop even beyond the tour itself. I was hoping and praying that when my friends who are members of PEJU planned this wine tasting treat, that my stomach and head would be fine and to my surprise, my palate, tongue, stomach and heart were pleased with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Fifty/Fifty, and more, including reserve reds Todd served and educated us about! PEJU is also one of the few wineries with a permit to serve food. If I had known ahead of time, I would've planned to eat here! The rilettes were super tempting, but Joseph advised that if I was planning to eat a meal afterward to stick to the chips and dip - this ended up being quite a generous portion as well, and I really enjoyed the goat cheese truffle dip alongside the wine tasting :) Overall, PEJU is definitely a beautiful winery to visit with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back!
