Classy place with upscale restaurant and fitness center and outdoor pool. The room we have is a studio with a queen bed, sofa sleeper, kitchen, and batywith tub and shower. I think we are coming back here next year.

We were happy to get a reservation at Whitebark given the ideal snow and weather conditions which have made this a bustling week in Mammoth. We were seated quickly to a nice table. Drinks took awhile to arrive but pleased the children and parents alike. The pour on the wine was 6 ounces unlike the Lilliputian serving at Side Door in the village. This fairytale ends here. The food took perhaps 25-30" to come. - Angus burger: 2, thin patty, non toasted brioche bun, cold fries + Salmon: nice crust, good flavor + crispy chicken: crispy skin, flavorful, creamy mash potatoes - seared Ahi tuna salad: very large portion, delicious but resulted in - Tagliatelle: interspersed with hard sticks of an herb - Frizee salad: live worm, weird wads of goat cheese Service: Mike was pleasant, out of sparkling water. Slow Overall, the menu was hit and miss where the hits were pretty good but the misses were pretty bad.

The fried zucchini was so good. Crunchy. Not soggy. Great dipping sauce. The beet salad mixed with arugula and feta were plenty full and great pairing with arugula. The beets were cut in circular shape. Tender and soft. The elote had a great kick it was nice with side of nachos. The shrimp and grits had to be retuned bc it was literally so salty and soupy. The wait staff was nice to take it back and not charge me and gave us a free dessert of our choice. Which we chose the brownie sundae. Brownie was super dry and tough. Doesn't seem homemade at all.

Went here for dinner and two breakfasts. It's convenient when staying at the hotel. The ambiance is ok. They have nice views and some TVs and a bar. But the place could use a refresh for sure. They have some odd lounge chairs and low tables that are awkward for dinner. The placemats are falling apart. The staff are friendly and attentive - especially the breakfast ones. The breakfast items that were great are the chia seed with fruit, the breakfast burritos and the veg omelet. I'd pass on the Cornbeef hash. It's not bad but it's not the traditional version. The toast is ok - I would go for the fruit instead. For dinner we had the halibut and the chicken skewers. They were both good. The sides were over seasoned - asparagus and mushrooms - and over priced - $10-12 each separate from the $42 halibut. They have happy hour drinks which we missed. I think worth a visit.

    Chicken soup?

I'll admit, I didn't listen to the reviews and decided to give White Bark a shot anyway. Unfortunately, I probably should have heeded the warnings. On the plus side, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the staff were extremely friendly--those factors alone earned them the 2 stars. Where things went downhill was the food. I started with their chicken noodle soup, which sadly was a total miss (0/5 stars in my book). It tasted off and I had to send it back. Next, I ordered the turkey sandwich, which looked promising on the menu. It came loaded with all sorts of tasty ingredients--but it was served on thin, untoasted bread. The moment I tried to pick it up, the bread fell apart before I could even take a bite, effectively turning my sandwich into a messy open-faced creation. All in all, while I appreciated the pleasant staff and nice ambiance, the food left a lot to be desired. I won't be returning anytime soon.

Came back again this year and wow, food has been better than ever! And that dam peach dream drink was amazing!!!! Worth the wait. Highly encourage making reservations.

The food was excellent. Our server David was outstanding. Especially loved the calamari.. The espresso martini's we had for dessert were a perfect end to our delusions dinner. Classy ambiance.

Breakfast Burrito* and Latte with vanilla syrup

I'm assuming all the bad reviews are for meals other than breakfast? Because we tried this place for breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised considering all the reviews we had read. The breakfast was super delicious and we love everything. I got a breakfast burrito and a latte with soy (or oat) milk and added vanilla syrup and it was 5/5 for me. We had such an incredible server as well, her name Kristel. She was super sweet and very attentive to us, considering we had a party of 8. Our food came out quickly and everything tasted straight out of the kitchen. I would definitely recommend for breakfast if you're staying at the Westin!

We expected much more from this Westin based restaurant. Food was skimpy and unexciting, Bar tender was fantastic though

Service was friendly and fine enough but the food truly was below average, even for a hotel restaurant.

No other business does this on Reddit. First, service is very slow and pretty haughty. I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple pesto chicken crepe. It tasted disgusting. I got the apple dessert crepe. It was full of little cubes of raw apple that just fell out of the crepe. There was barely any cinnamon or sugar in it. I also got the pesto crepe. There was a splash of pesto and a couple little pieces of chicken. 90% of the crepe is the bread or galette or whatever. The rest (which isn't much) is just thrown in there. At $16 each, this was a complete ripoff, even worse than the usual Mammoth ripoff. The ambiance is pretty good though and they have a nice wine bar area. I could see this place being good for breakfast, but it's not worth spending any more of my money there.

If you love food, appreciate incredible ingredients, and enjoy truly special dining experiences, you have to visit SKADI. From the moment you walk in, the entire experience is top tier. The restaurant is intimate, beautifully decorated with Norwegian and Baltic art, and the open kitchen lets you watch Chef Ian and his sous chef masterfully execute dish after dish. It's calm, composed, and honestly just fascinating to watch. The staff is exceptionally well trained, but what impressed me most is that if they don't know an answer, Chef Ian is happy to come to your table himself. He spent time talking with us, answering questions, and making sure we were enjoying everything. He even told us he doesn't have a single wine on the list that he doesn't personally love. Every course was beautifully prepared and perfectly portioned so we could enjoy each one without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. My husband and I genuinely loved every single thing we ate. If you're anywhere near Mammoth Lakes, make a reservation. (No kids under 10, but I promise it's worth getting a sitter.) This is one of those meals you'll be talking about long after it's over.

We visited as a family of four and made reservations ahead of time after hearing so many great things--and we felt incredibly fortunate to secure a Sunday booking, especially since they're closed Monday through Wednesday. It ended up being the perfect way to begin our time in Mammoth. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling rushed. And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish reflected the expertise and care of a master chef with decades of experience in Norwegian cuisine. What truly elevated the evening was the personal touch--the chef graciously visited our table to greet us and ensure everything was to our liking. That kind of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. We ordered three appetizers, a soup, three entrées, and finished with crème brûlée for dessert--and every single item was flawless. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Five stars--well deserved. Thank you for an unforgettable meal.

We had several kids in our party and they enjoyed the novelty of it. Our waiter Cam was great and made up for the poor service with the host. He had great recommendations as all were spot on. Cam recommended "family style" as many of the entrees are large and it gives you a chance to sample everything. We started with the asparagus summer rolls and tricolore salad. Both were delicious and refreshing. For the entrees we shared the cacio e pepe, margherita pizza, orechiette nero and chicken parmesan. Again, everything was excellent.
