Amazing food love the staff here. The windows surrounding the area are perfect. This is my go to place when skiing.

Taste of the east. Fried rice with stir fried vegetables and beef (left) and chicken (right)

Variety of taste, change regularly. Plenty of indoor, outdoor seating, inside and outside bars, convenient access from sky run and lifts, very convenient. Lunch with a view. Just try to avoid lunch crowd, rest early before 11:30. Or late lunch after 1pm. New carving station serving steak and bbq chicken. Big enough to share. Recommended.

My usual stop for a break from boarding. They have a large seating area which is always full, but also a downstairs section that usually has space available. When the weather is nice the outside patio is great. They have a large cafeteria style area with lots of options and big portions. I don't like to eat to much on my breaks so I usually share a meal to get me through the day. I love the salad as it is build tour own, but the chicken is way to dry. The hot chocolate though is a must! Sometimes I only stop for this and it never dissapoints.

Quick recap: - Food: Good - Portion size: Average - Service: Self service; Nice - Environment: Cafeteria - $: Expensive - Perks: On the slopes More details: We went there for lunch twice. I had a salad ($12 pre tax or 15 with a protein) the first time. It is a salad bar with a lot of options that change everyday. But expect to find your regular: salad/spinach/kale leaves, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, etc. The second time I had a burger and a kombucha (total was about $30 post tax - I think the drink was $6). The food was good, not bad, not exceptional. The portions are average. The staff is nice. Overall? Strong option for a fast meal on the slopes. We were fans

There's always plenty of seating downstairs. I wish all ski resorts had a downstairs, I always feel like I'm searching for a seat when I have lunch when I'm skiing. Go to the Asian station - it's pretty tasty and you get a good amount of food without having to wait in line. And don't miss the Bloody Mary's!! They sell them at all the lodges and they are my favorite Bloody Mary's. The food is overpriced and the grill line is always way too long to wait in. But both of those things are classic ski lodge problems that I'm used to.

Great place to eat, drink, and rest after a day on the slopes. They have so much different food areas kind of like a cafeteria - pasta, mexican, desserts, salad bar, AND they have a bar BAR..in case, you need a few shots to warm you up =) The garlic fries here are INSANE. Please don't bother to talk to anyone after eating them.

I don't ski, so I seriously came here for the views and apres ski. Now, reviewing a ski resort dining area is truly a first for me! I'm going to break down a few components here: Food variety: There's Asian, pasta, salad, burgers, Mexican...you name it. There's pretty much something for everyone. Score: 5 stars Food quality: Quality is a bit hindered, likely due to variety saturation. the nachos we ordered as a snack for our small group were good, and certainly hit the spot, but obviously not up to a sit-down Mexican restaurant Score: 3 stars Views: Holy cats! Well, considering that this establishment is located on a mountain that you must either ski to our take a gondola to, the views are out of this world! Score: 5 stars Drinks: The bar area has a wonderful variety of hot and cold cocktails. My group of 4 all ordered the Mammoth Mocha to warm us up. The cocktail was delicious. The wait for drinks was longer than expected and didn't taste like there was enough booze in it for the price. It was a nice, delicious warming drink to savor while we also drank in the views. Score: 3.5 stars After reading the almost dismal reviews of McCoy Station from pre-2014 it appears as though they've stepped up their game. The most impressive part of this place is the logistics behind the restaurant supply chain management! Seriously-- they haul everything up a ski hill. Mind.....blown.

I normally don't have many fantastic things to say about Mammoth food lodges but today's meals finally gave me a reason to write a review. I mainly just wanted to post my picture of my MASSIVE nachos. I order the grande nachos and they guy serving made sure to load up my plate. It no joke felt like 10 pounds of nachos, loaded up with chips, cheese, rice, lettuce, guac and other fun stuff. Could not have been more full after. Although everything else at this place is unbelievably expensive (like a $7 fruit cup!!!), this meal was great.

A terrible excuse for Pho. Yuk
    Doug M.

Overpriced and not so yummy. McCoy's changes things up every season - usually increasing prices and eliminating good lunch options. On Saturday afternoons during ski season, it is nearly impossible to get a seat. (Mostly people bringing their own lunches) Avoid the fake Pho bar. Everyone hates it.

This is a huge mid-mountain station that has a large food court and serves as a good resting area to avoid going to the overcrowded base stations. That being said, this place is jammed pack too. If you're coming here for lunch mid-day, make sure to come in by noon to avoid the 12:30 rush of people. If you can't find seats on the main floor, head downstairs for a darker but more spacious seating area.

It is located right at Mammoth Mountain Inn, which makes it dangerously easy to wander in after a long day on the slopes when your legs are cooked and your standards are already slipping. The location is excellent and honestly does a lot of the work for this place. Being able to grab food without dealing with shuttles, parking, or changing out of mountain mode is a big win. The food itself was fine, but definitely not amazing for the price. Nothing was bad, nothing was memorable, and you are very aware that you are paying resort pricing for solidly okay plates. Service, however, was a bright spot. Shoutout to Mark upstairs who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel warmer than the food alone would have. That kind of service matters when you are tired, hungry, and debating whether you should have just grabbed a protein bar and gone to bed. Overall, this is a convenient, reliable option when you are staying at the inn or wrapped in layers and unwilling to go elsewhere. Come for the location and the easy post snowboarding meal, tip your server well, and keep expectations in check.

From what we were told, they coordinate hours with The Yodler across the street, which handles lunch service. We only came for dinner, mostly out of convenience since we were staying at the hotel. The first night, I ordered the bison osso bucco -- oh my god, it was really good. Tender, flavorful, and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Zero complaints. My husband ordered the salmon and was pretty disappointed; it tasted like it had been frozen far too long. The second night, I went with the short rib grilled cheese with tomato soup, and again -- delicious. Honestly, what's a better combo than grilled cheese and tomato soup? Now add short rib? Wow. Meanwhile, my husband got the burger, which was cold, dry, and flavorless. He couldn't finish it, although the fries were very good. So either I'm excellent at ordering... or he just had bad luck two nights in a row. Bottom line: don't go out of your way to eat here, but you can find something good on the menu. They have a full bar and lots of TVs, which is nice after a ski day. There are definitely better restaurants down the mountain in town, but if you don't feel like driving, this place will do just fine.

This is unsafe and unacceptable, especially for children's food. The steak was ordered medium well, but was served well done -- completely overcooked. The chimichurri sauce was also misleading: instead of the classic green sauce, a red mixture was served that had nothing to do with it. The coleslaw was simply awful. Additionally, the staff showed no proper response -- we were not offered a replacement, a discount, or even a proper apology. This reflects a complete disregard for service standards and customer care. In its current state, this does not meet even basic restaurant standards.

We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. We tried to snag a late New Year's Eve reservation and struck out, but the staff was super accommodating and fit us in on a following night. Very glad they did. The space itself is small, cozy, and intimate in the best way. It feels warm and inviting, especially after a long day in the cold, and sets the tone for a relaxed, linger-over-wine kind of dinner. The food was excellent across the board. We ordered elk, cod, and scallops and the scallops were the clear mic drop. Perfectly cooked, rich, and memorable. Our server recommended a bottle of wine that paired beautifully with everything and felt like someone actually listened instead of just pointing at the most expensive option. Service all around was warm, attentive, and unpretentious, which is not always a given in resort towns. Dessert was sorbet, simple but refreshing, and my girlfriend ordered a port she really enjoyed. After dinner we took the rest of the wine, grabbed a seat by the fireplace, and played chess, which felt like the most civilized way possible to end a night in the snow. This was our first time staying for the weekend at the lodge, and we were genuinely excited about the experience. On our second night we decided to have a special dinner at the Lakefront Restaurant, which we had been looking forward to. Unfortunately, the meal was very disappointing--especially given the price point. Our starter salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, the lamb starter was undercooked, and while the scallops were very good, $8 per scallop felt excessive. The beef Wellington, which we were particularly excited about, was bland and the pastry was doughy. For a dinner that totaled over $300 for two people, we expected a much higher level of quality and creativity. Compared to our previous visits, the food felt like it had gone noticeably downhill. It's genuinely sad to write this because we've always loved coming here. Sadly, this experience left us feeling disappointed enough that we likely won't return.

Super friendly, attentive, and took the time to walk us through the beer options while we already had our food picked out. Service like that makes a difference. We started with the mushroom soup (soup of the day). It was fully blended and smooth -- no big chunks -- and while it wasn't the most memorable soup ever, it definitely hit the spot after being out in the cold all day. The Oyster Rockefeller was the highlight. Perfectly done. The oysters tasted fresh, the spinach flavor came through nicely, and the crispy topping added the perfect crunch. I planned to have just one... ended up eating two. For the main, we ordered the steak medium well. It came out more charred on the outside than expected, so it wasn't amazing, but still solid. The fries were great though -- especially paired with beer. Overall, the food was good but not extraordinary. However, the service -- especially from Alonso -- really elevated the experience. Because of that, and the cozy post-snowboard vibe, this earns 5 stars.

We arrived and were greeted warmly by our host and seated at a table in front of the fireplace. The restaurant is very small and cozy. Our server took our drink orders and brought out a bread basket. We all ordered the following: - Soup of the day (loaded baked potato) - short rib fries - oven roasted Frenched chicken breast - chicken Parmesan - pan seared chinook salmon - shrimp scampi There was a small hiccup when my 10-year-old son noticed another table had been served chicken tenders and fries. We weren't offered a kids' menu, so he had ordered chicken Parmesan from the regular menu. Not a huge issue, but it would have been nice to know kid-friendly options were available. Unfortunately, service timing became more of a problem toward the end of the meal. After we had mostly finished eating, our server asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We said yes, and I gently reminded her we were celebrating a birthday. When she returned, she brought a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle (very thoughtful gesture!) but our dinner plates, empty glasses, and general table clutter were still in front of us. We also still hadn't seen the dessert menu we'd asked for, which made the moment feel rushed and a bit awkward. Needless to say, our server seemed to catch on that I was disappointed in the service towards the end of our meal. It seemed like she was the only server on the floor, too, which probably explained the lack of attentiveness and timing issues. Overall, the food was alright and everyone enjoyed their meals. It was an okay dining experience but the service could definitely use some improvement. For a restaurant with higher menu prices and a more upscale presentation (linen napkins, cozy ambiance, etc.), the level of service didn't quite match my expectations. I would still return as it could've just been an "off" night and their martinis were great!
