Worth the hype! My friends and I went for dinner on a Friday, so the restaurant was packed and had…read morea lively atmosphere. Despite it being busy, we got seated pretty quickly, and the service was excellent. Our server checked on us frequently, and she had great recommendations. They have an extensive menu, so there's lots to choose from. For nigiri, I really enjoyed the garlic ponzu salmon, garlic ponzu tuna, and umami oil salmon. I also loved the spicy salmon hand roll and ended up ordering it twice. Don't forget to ask about the secret menu! There were some great items that we got to try. I highly recommend Little Sakana for AYCE sushi, and I can't wait to come back with my family and friends.

The regular rolls and appetizers were pretty standard for an AYCE sushi restaurant, no complaints but nothing stood out either. They do have a unique selection of baked rolls though, and I must say, those were a surprisingly good experience. One thing I do really like that other AYCE places don't do is have the rolls come in half roll orders. This made it way easier to try a bunch of different rolls without worrying about committing to a full 8 piece roll. Other than that, it was a very similar experience to many of the other sushi restaurants around Houston of this style, although slightly on the pricier side.

Absolutely astounding service and sushi!…read more Today we had the pleasure of being greeted and taken care of by Annie and Katie! Both ladies attended to us frequently with refreshments filled without asking, explaining menu items in detail, and informing us what items were being brought to us as they placed them in front of us. We came for the lunch special that ends at 2:30pm. We got there at 1:45pm not knowing how much we'd be able to order or eat in the amount of time we had until the kitchen closed. Fortunately Katie informed us we could order all at once which we did. The food came super quick. Within 5 minutes of ordering, we started receiving multiple starters as well as entrees, filling our table. Both ladies came back to see if we wanted to order anything else moments before the kitchen closed which was really nice as we weren't paying attention to the time due to the nice environment and satisfaction of amazing sushi! The vibe of the restaurant is so relaxing, yet intimate! Really nice for a cute date or just a good outing! I definitely recommend going on an empty stomach as you'd want to try all the options! I've attached my receipt for context of what could be ordered for two within 45 minutes.

We genuinely wanted to support them. Unfortunately we could not bring ourselves to continue supporting business where the owner does not have business ethics, or perhaps human decency? (Turn out we are not the first with such unpleasantly disappointing treatment from the owner, and I am sure we will not be the last. If the owner decides to continue being rude and unprofessional to customers as well as treating customers like he is a social justice warrior all righteous and almighty, well good luck) Only if we knew sooner, by reading others' similar experiences/reviews as well as the owner responses to them with such rudeness and sarcasm, we could have prevented it from happening to us LOL
