In my surprise I never actually wrote review for rockaway brewing company and I've actually been to…read moreRockaway brewing company a couple of times and my experience has always been great. Rockaway brewing company is a small location but so cool and friendly the staff have always been friendly they have a great amount of choices when it comes to beers and since I love beers its so awesome for me. The location is so chilled the it has a cool interior I definitely like going to Rockaway brewing and I definitely should go their more often one of my favorite thing a about the location is the Choice of IPA they have a good amount. But one of the awesome things about Rockaway brewing is the fact that they also host a couple of pop up food locations which is actually pretty cool. I definitely am going to try to visit location more often cause I definitely liked the environment but I never really stay long so next time in definitely going to stay longer. I definitely have to try rest of the beer and have to go back and take some pictures cause I don't know how I go randomly and I never take pictures which so confusing but next time I definitely will remember to do it.

Come for beer. Stay for Brownie…read more The beer is fine, unfussy, and slightly forgettable. There are lots of options; I've always enjoyed the darker beers, like their coffee stout. That said, location to waterfront is primo, and they often have events and/ or food pop-ups. There's a small array of outdoor seats, which is good given the inside can fill quickly. The staff here is always friendly and attentive. Best of all? BROWNIE! As a self described cat fanatic, I will visit any establishment with an in-house feline. Brownie does her/ his own thing, so a visit is not guaranteed, but I've never met a cat as unbothered as Brownie. We shall all aim to be like Brownie!

It features a spacious indoor taproom and an outdoor patio with stunning sunset views over New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty." "Focuses on malt- and hop-forward New York farm-to-glass ales, pilsners, and seasonal lagers.Serves an all-local drink menu that includes New York State wines, ciders, and spirits alongside beer.Offers rotating local beverage options like beer flight samplers and seasonal slushies" How did I come to this place? Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, I tapped my ruby red Crocs and landed in the Red Hook waterfront on a HHH day. NY Mag offered a free 7 ounce beer of my choice. I was also going to order food. However, Truman explained that " on weekends the pop up food markets are here or patrons bring food to picnic". He suggested Red Hook Kitchenette to purchase sandwiches and bring it back and dine here. ( which I did, see separate review for RHK). I asked for suggestions on an IPA that is citrusy and he suggested the Hazy IPA Wolf in the Garden. WITG has hints of tropical fruit, stone fruit and orange peels. An IPA Fawn approved. They serve beer, cider, wine and spirits. The interior is rustic with wood tables, soft lighting and just a chill beer. The outside picnic tables face the waterfront and Lady Liberty, what a view! Sipping my beer in the sweet sunshine. I am falling in love with NY crafted beer and IPA. Strong Rope will become a Fawn fave fast. Many thanks to Truman who is friendly, has extensive beer knowledge and made a great lunch suggestion. Cheers!

Wow I think I found my favorite malt beer at this brewery! It's called Decapitator. Please always…read morekeep it on your lineup! Strong. You only need 1-2 to feel relaxed. :) The beer prices are great too. The vibe here is great, with a lot of seating options and card + board games to keep you occupied. Dog friendly as well! I was able to get a bowl of water for my little one. Nice views of the water too if you prefer to sit outside. I like how it is bring your own food. I saw a small group having a little birthday party and they had pizza and a cake that they brought. I went to the Food Bazaar grocery a block or two away and got a sandwich from their deli to bring to the brewery. Next door is a cidery, I think a different owner. Outrageously expensive ($17 for a small glass of cider? lol). Stick to strong rope! They do have a cider or two on their menu normally. 2 minutes away is Steve's Key Lime Pie - recommend if you like frozen key lime pies on a stick dipped in chocolate ;)

They also offer a full bar/cocktail menu - very rare for a brewery which is great if you are with a non beer drinker. Red Ale - Mexican Lager - American Pale Ale - Pilot Batch Try that line-up The Broken Bow offers a great Happy Hour menu. I indulged in the Loaded Nachos - all fresh ingredients and plenty of them! The inside is clean and spacious. And the outside as well featuring an area for beer drinkers to bring their doggies! The service, just fabulous - Reese was on point and so friendly. Love Love Love Broken Bow - can't wait to introduce to fellow beer drinkers . Cheers!

I've been here several times over the years, but only once since the reopening in Summer 2026…read more Unfortunately, it feels like they've completely lost the brewery atmosphere that made this place enjoyable. When you walk in now, there's a host who escorts you to a table in the main dining area. The first thing you notice is the lighting and that it is WAY too bright. The whole room is so brightly lit that it feels more like a sterile operating room than a brewery where you'd want to hang out for a couple of beers. They've added a full food menu, which is a nice addition, but the entire setup now makes you feel like you're expected to order a meal. It no longer feels like the kind of place where you can just mosey in, grab a beer, find a spot, and hang out for a while. The outdoor area has also been completely covered and now looks almost like a greenhouse. I'm not entirely sure what the experience out there is supposed to be because, despite it being completely empty when we visited, they weren't allowing anyone to sit outside. The funniest part was watching people walk in after us. Almost everyone seemed to have the same confused reaction. First when they realized they had to wait for someone to tell them where to sit, and then when they walked into what might be the brightest brewery dining room in America.
