As a person born and raised in Mineola, it's awesome to see a brewery near the heart of the town. This was my second time coming here, this time bringing my dad for his birthday on a Thursday night, and we had a great time. Love their variety of craft beers and cocktails, especially their sour ales. They also have some appetizers too. There's a good amount of seating in the tent outside and a few picnic benches inside. My friends and I were looking for a place to grab a drink and we stumbled upon this place. At first we thought it was just beer but they do have some cocktails and mock-tails available. For food they have a few things but we went with the pizza I chose the margherita next time I will ask for it to be a little more cooked for the bottom it was doughy but it was decent. The drinks were fantastic and we have to thank Liam for that. First of all Liam is so kind and informative he knows his stuff! We ended up moving from the table to the bar to continue conversation with him. His craftsmanship of cocktails were on point and I can't wait to go back. First drink we had was a Bourbon cranberry sour that was good it was light but good, I noticed they had 6 different old fashions and we tried the maple it was so good probably the only drink I'll be having for a while (When I like something I stick to it). My friend did have the peach and it was also good. Unfortunately they didn't have any IPA's which is my go to beer but I did try a beer that I thought was alright but maybe next time I'll find one I really like. For one of the only real breweries in Nassau County, the place is great. There is a decent selection of beers (I recommend the Christmas one) and of course, they do flights. I'm one to usually review a brewery right after my visit. Most of the time, I find that breweries are just awesome spots and almost always warrant four or five stars. Though for some reason (I know the reason), I chose to never actually review Lost Farmer...until now. To clear things up, I first visited this Mineola brew spot (along with a friend) within the first couple of days they had opened back a few years ago. The relatively small and energetic place was crowded, which I understood for a new brewery, but my buddy and I were still able to snag a seat. We ordered up flights and started to sip our suds, but what probably paused me from wanting to review them was the price. Lost Farmer as a whole seemed like their full pours and small tasters were a bit more expensive than I'd like, and the beers we were trying were definitely decent, but I wasn't sure it warranted what we paid. And so we left with a feeling of unsureness and I hadn't returned for quite some time. Flash forward to a few weeks ago when my buddy and I (along with a few other chums) made a return trip to Lost Farmer. This time around the place was much less crowded and I had a nice opportunity to see all of the fun pop culture stuff (video game, sports, and movie references which tie into their beer names) that were on the walls. We sat at the bar and on that football Sunday had the chance to casually converse with a few of the fellas behind the counter who were pretty chill. But most importantly, the pricing of the beers were the same...now maybe you're wondering how that could be a good thing. Well a few years back, before Covid really rocked the world and inflation went on a joyride, these prices didn't entirely jive. Today, they make more sense and I could accept things much more easily. Plus, the beers we had were pretty stellar. Their Wild Berry sour ale was just tart enough without overdoing it while the Killer Pumpkin ale had a nice autumnal spice. A few of their IPAs were also juicy and really enjoyable. Overall, if I had ever actually reviewed Lost Farmer back when they first opened, I probably would've went with four stars with a leaning towards three and a half. I remember thinking how I didn't love the price of things and even (maybe?) I felt like the beers didn't justify what I was paying. But that was then and this is now! After this most recent trip, I'll roll out the five star red carpet for Lost Farmer. Ya just never know what a second chance can do for a place. read more

A newish brewery that opened not too long ago in Mineola. It's tucked away within a commercial park (like most LI breweries) but offers a welcoming space to kick back and drink delicious beer. We initially tried a flight to get a feel of the different beers. The new wild berry sour was delicious but ultimately the Mexican corn beer won me over. The atmosphere is fun with games, TVs playing music videos from the 80s and 90s, and tons of outdoor seating under tents for when the weather is nice. The staff is friendly and the beers are cheap. People were spending literal hours here and I can understand why. read more

Was looking for an after-dinner brewery to pop into and this place fit the bill. The menu is pretty large and varied, but it wasn't my favorite (being an IPA snob). The IPA I went with was good, though! We had forgotten to bring board games but they were able to supply us with a variety of card-based games (playing cards and UNO, essentially), so that was appreciated. The space itself is fairly small but we went on a Friday night and easily got a table. The staff are super friendly. Overall worth trying if you're in the area. read more

New Brew Review! Stopped into Lost Farmer before a show at NYCB Theater at Westbury for a quick drink beforehand (only 10min away). Very cute little spot but definitely hidden from the street. They've got a couple tables inside, a handful of tables outside under a tent with heaters (woot!) and they've got a popcorn machine which really won me over! Good selection of beers on tap but mostly IPAs which is in my wheelhouse. I got a flight of 4 to try some different stuff like the sour and the red ale. I came on a weekday afternoon. The tap list is decent and includes a bit of other local guest taps. Flights are available for $15. I wasn't in love with their beers - at least what was available on this day - but the guest taps kept me excited, including Finback and Industrial Arts. There's a small snack menu. We got the focaccia, which was great with beer. They also had a Barbecue and Biscuits menu if you wanted to bring some back. The outdoor seating is small and only high tables, but it did the trick for us since it wasn't too crowded. There's ample seating inside. Keeping at 4 stars because that bread was so good! read more

Are you looking for fun???? The Lost Farmer Brewing is a new destination spot in Mineola that offers just that... FUN. I am happy that I am part of the Mineola Chmaber of Commerce and had the opportunity to visit the Lost Farmer Brewing on their grand opening. We were so proud to meet Dominick and his partner and were confident from the onset that Lost Farmer would be a great addition to MIneola. We had the opportunity to sample many beers at the grand opening. It was so nice to see how they took this area and transformed it into a micro-brewery. It was fun to have a flight of beers rather than wine for a change. The staff here is magnificent. Everyone is so excited to be introducing this new establishment into Mineola and serving so many unique beers. The food truck is also a nice idea. I enjoyed their special pretzel and focasia. Having this along side of the delicious beers was truly a treat. I truly like their idea of sealable can versus the glass growler. This place is easilyyyyyy going to become a regular for me. A brewery within ten minutes of my house? Dear lord yes. I came here with another vaccinated friend for a quick drink after work on the Friday after their opening. It was a it cramped, very small interior, so we sat outside, where it was a bit cold. ' We both ordered flights which featured beers the brewery distills and a few featured ones. For my flight, I went with two sours and two dark ales. Sours- hibiscus and blueberry, and the dark beers: brown ale and the peanut butter stout. I loved both sours, though the hibiscus slightly edged over. The brown ale was fine too, but the peanut butter stout had me drawing imaginary hearts in my teenage notebooks. Key to my heart. The staff was very friendly and many of them came over to introduce themselves and ask how we were doing. It's right down the block from Black Sheep in an industrial area and was a little hard to find (keep your eyes peeled for a sign on a chain link fence) They have retro arcade games but it doesn't seem too covid safe at the moment to be putting my paws all over that. Absolutely loved our time here! We came for a family Sunday funday to watch football. The brewery is kid friendly which was important to us. They have an array of outdoor (with heaters) seating as well as indoor. Our group loved the seltzer they had (from a local li outfit) as well as the Helles Yeah Lager. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, as well as patient with our 5yo as he learned Pac-Man lol. We also loved you could bring food from outside. This is a fun place. Their playlist is basically everything I used to listen to - a lot of 80s and 90s music videos. They do flights, which I highly recommend because they have a TON of different options and styles. Just a few of the beers I had - a cream IPA, Mexican corn lager, Italian pilsner, chocolate oatmeal stout, and even a black cherry hard soda. All really solid, though I think their IPAs are the best. Also got a 4-pack of their juicy IPA with orange. Very good. For food, they have these mini convection ovens and have bar pizza, big pretzels, and focaccia (basically gluten on top of gluten). We got one of each lol. Nothing to write home about, but pretty good options for a brewery. You can also order stuff from the biscuit place nearby. Super fun place with enclosed outdoor seating. But inside, seats for large groups are sparse - just one picnic table in the back. The rest are bar seats, or barrel tables for 2-3. read more

Went here after a tux fitting. The brewery is small and really nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer some average bar food, lol. The beer and baristas is where it counts. Sam was pouring the beers and was funny and knew her stuff. They offer a few if their brews and then the rest are locally sourced breweries. Their pale was crushable! read more

Recommend. Stumbled upon this place and everything about it is cool. Small, hidden, casual joint with a good crowd just enjoying the in-door/ outdoor set up. Tried the beer and cider and both were very good. Unusually broad and creative mix of beer, cider and mixed drinks (on tap) for a small brew pub. Food menu limited, but the bar pie, pretzel and empanada did the trick while drinking beer. Bartenders were good and friendly, the hidden location towards the back of a warehouse added to the attraction. Give it a shot and support your local brewer. read more

I stopped in on Friday to see if there was a chance this new microbrewery was open yet. As luck would have it, they were having a soft opening and I scooped up a few crowlers to go. Everyone there was super friendly and I was made to feel super welcome by everyone. I even got to meet the owner and the brew master. I waited until I actually tasted the beer to write my review, and I don't know if you can guess, but I really enjoyed their Juicy IPA! I only have two regrets. I came to early to get lunch from the empanada truck that was expected later and I did not get a picture of the nice outside area they have. So excited for this new brewery in the neighborhood! We stopped by on a Wednesday at around 5:30 pm and as soon as we walked up we heard good music and was immediately greeted. It was laid back and staff (including the owner) was smiling, attentive, and clearly eager to make sure every customer was happy and taken care of. I love that they're dog friendly and they brought out water for Goose (the pup) before we even got our beers! They didn't have food trucks when we were there but we were told theres going to be an Empanada truck which sounds amazing. They did team up with a bbq place where you can call and order and they'll walk it over to you (highly recommend their chicken fingers). Overall it was a great experience! My only suggestion would be for the bartender (who was so sweet and knowledgeable) to speak a little slower when explaining the beers because it was a little hard to follow. There is a tent area as well, which is heated during the winter. The head bartender and the manager are cool. One of the young girls behind the bar is not quite so friendly. The beer and free popcorn are good. There are usually a few IPA choices. The bar snacks are okay, but very overpriced. New favorite brewery! Its rare i like almost every beer on tap. Im pretty boring and only like lagers, blonde ales, nothing too hoppy or too heavy. I actually liked all the ipa's i tried. The ipa's and a hazy pale ale were just super smooth and easy to drink. But the two lagers were my favorite. Regretted not getting any to go. Cool vibes with seating and corn hole outside. Went here for the soft opening and had a great experience. Loved the beers we tried on tap, great vibe, and the staff is lovely. Came back a few weeks later and took a closer look at the tap board. Realized that every beer they were pouring was a guest tap! When I asked the server about this she said they'd had two of their own beers for the soft opening and quickly sold out. They're expecting to have another of their own beer out in a few weeks. I'm all for guest taps, but I wish they were more transparent. The servers were referring to the beers ("our brown ale is awesome") as their own and that's just not cool. Marketing should be transparent. Call this a nano brewery or a beer garden. Have an honest dialogue. Would love to see production pick up and try some unique product. read more

Decided to check this place out since it's so close to me and right down the street to one of my favorite bars The Black Sheep Ale House. It's a nice little set up in the industrial part of Mineola. Bartender was nice and helpful. The Beer is....lacking....I ordered their Blood Orange Pale Ale....it tasted like a watered down Blue Moon. To top that it was 9 dollars!. This place has potential but needs to work on their beer recipes and try to lower their price point down to a reasonable amount. read more
