This is a really nice place. I walked in on a Friday night and the place was packed!! The tables are seld serve seating and they had a couple tables still open. My friend and I were able to seat not far from the band who were playing some classic rock. It is an actual brewery and they had at least 8 varieties on tap. The bartenders, Brian and Meghan are fantastic and very much people person friendly. From Wed to Sat, there a side business of food that serves very simple items; burgers, chicken nuggets and fries. All three are really good tasting and flavorful! All fresh and i would say better than most places. The guy ordering is so friendly. Visit Date: May 23, 2024 If it wasn't for my friend Sunil I would not visit breweries. He invited me to go with him and meet his friend Joanne for the first time because I had her on facebook for a long time but never met her in person. So after jury duty and after I switched over my phone and took a quick run I headed to Long Beach to visit this brewery. I had two N/A beers because I don't drink alcohol. I had the pilsner and the IPA from the same company. I'm not sure I will ever get an N/A beer from tap, usually they're canned and given to me to get poured out. I liked the pilsner better than the IPA. The atmosphere is cool, a combination of eclectic, slight sophistication and casual. They don't serve food that's a gripe I have about breweries, some serve food and I wish they all would. But they do allow you to bring in outside food. I like this brewery, it's a nice place to hang out if you're in Long Beach. read more

Good beer, good setting, good service! The location is incredibly convenient, located a few minutes from the LIRR train and about 7 mins from the beach. It had plenty of seating and the back had a giant couch and table for more intimate events. The beer was very good, which is nice considering the owners could have relied on the location to attract weary commuters or thirsty beach goers. I loved the hazy ipa, and the cream ale with vanilla and orange notes. All the beer was worth trying, but the lupilin parkway was worth a crowler! The service was also a nice change, most Brooklyn beer companies are snooty and NJ can be less than friendly. Overall, worth a few hours to chill and rehydrate here! read more

This is a fun place to do a beer flight. It gets really crowded during the weekends, so I went on a weekday afternoon. They don't serve food, however, you can bring your own food. There are several restaurants on the same block so you can easily get food. It is also near the LIRR station, so you can go straight from the train station to here. There are several ocean themed beers here such as the clam juice pale ale, the fish are bitin' mexican lager. They also have IPAs and sours. The selection seems to rotate regularly, another excuse to come back to see what is new. You can order and pick up their beer which comes in crowlers. Crowlers are growlers in a can, so its a huge 32 oz can of beer. If you are looking for a fun place to hang out with a large group, definitely check out Bright Eye Beer! read more

Now that COVID restrictions are pretty much gone it was much easier to get into Bright Eye Beer on a Saturday afternoon. No mask required if you're fully vaccinated. Sat right at the bar. The staff took care of us right away and truly know their beer. Two things to know about the staff: when we were there it was predominantly women (girl power!) and these ladies know their beer! We typically dislike IPAs but our waitress was determined to find one we liked. We tried two and the hazy one was hands down delicious. Our favorite ended up being the Bam Bluezled. It's a sour beer made with blueberries and pomegranate. Beautiful color and goes down smooth. Heard lots of people ordering this so we threw it into our flight and were so impressed we ended up ordering a full pint after we finished our flight. Dog friendly and family friendly. Tons of furry critters hanging out by tables. Little lounge area in the back. Spacious bathrooms with your own private sink. Prices are fair. They're not too close to the water so easy to find parking even on hot days. iPad checkout system. Plenty of seating. No food but Gino's is right down the street and they don't care if you bring outside food in. Great place and we cannot wait to go back. Oh! They also have a really cool can system. Alright, Bright Eye. Let's do this. Sorry, I started this review off on a strong note because in some ways that's how I've felt since my first experience at Bright Eye. Back on February 29th (Leap Day!) my buddy and I ventured to Bright Eye after they had only just opened a week prior. The turnout was strong and so there were only 4 beers left on tap that early afternoon. Foam-O hazy IPA, Babe's Stout, Regular Slice blonde ale, and Eye to Eye IPA filled out my flight and filled my belly with some pretty solid beers. Bringing in some outside food (a couple slices of pizza from Gino's up the street) added to the casually relaxing feel of eating, hanging, watching some Isles hockey, and enjoying the spacious interior of this brand new brewery. Those feels had me circling five stars in my head, though I really wanted the opportunity to try more brews and maybe spend a little more time at Bright Eye to get a better gist of their beer abilities before signing off on that caliber review...and then this little pandemic thing hit the globe causing my tentative review to get pushed off...until now. Finally back in a "new normal" world, I returned to Bright Eye last weekend on a rainy Sunday to supplant my feelings of this beach-y beer spot. In some ways, it felt like I had been there only yesterday. The place was bustling (about as much as it could with capacity rules), the Islanders were skating it up on several large TVs, and I was there with two chums (one who had experienced Bright Eye the first time with me and also wanted another trip to figure out his own thoughts on the place). The differences? Well, beyond masks until you sit, scanning a QR code for the beer menu, and ordering from a friendly staff member, there were more beers on tap. This time eight choices filled the list which made for a slightly better selection with only a few repeats from back in February. Another flight made its way to me with Billy Summer Haze IPA, Shark Smile session IPA, Babe's Stout (my only repeat), and Sailor's Delight fruited sour. Billy was the best of the bunch with smooth and subtle hoppiness while Babe's stayed strong as a formidable chocolatey stout. Sailor's Delight was decent in fruity/sour flavor with the cherry aspect it stated on the menu somewhat coming through. As for Shark Smile...no. Session beers can be spectacular, but this one tasted off, with bitterness standing next to some other flavors that didn't taste right. Luckily, I drank this second and so I had a few other tasters that helped rid my palate of those tastes. Having said all that (I'm always long-winded when it comes to beer), I now feel like I have a somewhat better idea about Bright Eye Beer Co. and what I'd review it at...I think. Overall, I don't know (okay, I lied). Bright Eye definitely has a nice setup, good space, pretty chill staff members, and solid beers for the most part, though after this second trip and a few brews that didn't blow me away I guess I'm just not sold on five stars. The potential is 100% there and with another visit or two, perhaps it gets the vote of five star confidence that it could reach, but for now let's just say 4 1/2 rounded down for me. i sat down at the bar on a random thursday around 5pm and it was fairly quiet. i was able to sample two of their fares, i believe one was grapefruit and the other was a bit too hoppy for me. after an hour or so the tables had been almost all filled up as i made my exit so i can see it is a popular spot for the locals. there isnt any food served but you are able to bring in takeout. read more

Beer was pretty good which is the most important thing so let me start with that. Unfortunately, as a new brewery trying to make their name in the budding craft beer industry on Long Island they seem to frequently run out of beer. I made the trek out to Bright Eye today to find that they only had three beers on tap. Hopefully for everyone's sake that improves soon. Moving on to the atmosphere. The building is gorgeous, as is the bar and tables. It gets very crowded and so much so that someone literally tried to "share" a table with my wife and I. No thanks. It's great that they have created such a welcoming environment, but there were more than enough babies and toddlers here to open up a daycare center. The staff was friendly, and service was prompt. Prices were a little high compared to other breweries. ($7 here for beer that would be $5 or less at Barrier Brewery in Oceanside) Needless to say, I quickly finished some beers here as it was too loud and crowded to really enjoy myself. I left feeling a bit let down, annoyed with all the douchiness (spelling) this place seems to attract, and lack of beer availability for paying top dollar. Have gone here a few times with friends. Great atmosphere to relax and have a couple brews to destress and forget about all those inner demons. Only reason why I do not give it 5 stars is because of the lack of food service. It's nice that they allow you to bring in outside food but would be even better if I did not have to face the elements and physically leave the place to get my food. As much as I look trendy with my new coat, it's just not worth it. Other thing is because it's rather new and popular especially with the COVID restrictions seating can be hard to come by especially on busy weekends. First timer here! Solid spot with great lighting. Stumbled in here towards closing on a Monday night with some friends. We grabbed a couple beers (+2 cans of white wine) and brought Ginos pizza for some fun. The atmosphere was very beachy and the bathrooms and bar/tables were very clean.
