I would definitely come back to this restaurant again! We loved looking at all the decorations in the restaurant and walking around the place. Our table was right next to the window looking out on the river. We ordered the gator bites for the appetizer--very tender and perfectly fried. We also ordered the catfish, the almond-crusted trout, the ribs, and the shrimp pasta. The portions were not very big, but they came packed with flavor. I've read some of the reviews criticizing the price and portion size. However, this is a nice restaurant located at a prime scenic location, so it is not really a surprise that the price point is higher. We came into the restaurant with that mindset, so we weren't expecting big portion sizes for cheap prices. And we were absolutely not disappointed. Pretty good food overall. Had trout almondine, would have been better with maybe a lemon sauce rather than burnt butter that was put on with a scoop. Another great place to eat here in Branson. They use texting to notify you when your table is ready. This way you can social distance and wait outside, if you wish, and talk with privacy until your table is called. Every table gets a plate of fresh, warm corn bread to eat while waiting for your meal to arrive. The New England Clam Chowder was hot and couldn't have tasted better. We had the Fish and Chips and the Catfish Entree. Both were excellent and filled us up completely. We will definitely return on our next visit to Branson. read more

It came with a sauce made with cream cheese, jalapeño and simple syrup. Really good! The salad was okay, nothing special but it's hard to mess up a salad lol. We ordered the shrimp bonetti and clam chowder. The chowder was only warm and the shrimp tasted like pizza sauce which neither of us cared for. The interior was nice. Good things first, the staff was awesome. The Blueberry Mojito was awesome. My husband and I both ordered the Shrimp Bonetti. My husband thought it tasted fine, but it has no taste, no salt, the herbed tomato sauce was not herbed and very minimal. The parmesean cream sauce was too light as well. My shrimp weren't fully cooked and were grey in the middle. The jalapeño corn bread that my granddaughter loved the first time was so dry it crumbled when you tried to cut it. We chose to sit on the deck, the poor wait staff were fighting broken doors on both ends of the deck. One poor waitress was taking in dirty dishes on the other en of the deck and tried to open the door. The door didn't budge and her moment from trying to open it caused her to loose her balance and the tray loaded with dirty dishes came crashing to the floor. Another server was bringing out a meal and the door stuck when it was halfway open causing her to drop a heavily loaded tray. Another waitress tried to come out with food and the door would not open. I grabbed ahold of the door and pulled with all of my strength (and considerable weight) to open it for her. Everyone on the deck felt sorry for the poor wait staff. One of the bussers let it slip that they had been having issues with the doors. I know the owners can afford to fix or replace those doors immediately. Do something to make things easier for your wonderful wait staff. Also give them a cart to roll dirty dishes in on. You got 3 stars thanks to your wonderful wait staff. Had lunch there on 1.13.25. Arrived early and the manager saw us outside in the cold weather. He invited us inside to sit next to the fire for 10 minutes prior to opening for business. This was a very thoughtful gesture. Food was great, service was prompt and our server was very cordial (was her name Faith???). The restaurant sits on the river with windows all the way around. Fisherman's Wharf kind of atmosphere. The view is pretty enough in the summer, so I can imagine the brilliant display of color when Fall arrives. I've eaten here a few times and each time the consensus seems to be the same; if you order fish or seafood, it's delicious, everything else is just kinda meh. Beautiful spot out on the lake. We had a quiet lunch outside on the Fourth of July, overlooking the lake. The food was delicious, it was a comfortable atmosphere and we had great service. Well, this place was quite disappointing, from appetizers to entrees. The spinach dip was flavorless and unappealing. The cheese curds were good, I'll give them that. The catfish was partly inedible. It had a slimy black streak thru the entire filet. Disgusting. The tartar sauce was bland. The Mashed Potatoes were good, even though they only give you the tiniest scoop of them. Saw this as we were walking the boardwalk at Branson's Landing. We were seated right away, but then had to find a waitress. After the waitress finally showed up, the service was fast and courteous. The menu had very few options. The food was mediocre. The clam chowder was very good. My husband had The fish and chips and it was average but a very large portion and nice and hot. I had the grilled trout which was so thin it was impossible to not over cook it. I've never had trout that thin. The broccoli was over cooked and plain and the rice pilaf was lacking in flavor. We were very excited to try this place, but the quality of the food was such a disappointment. The cornbread tasted like lake water, the beer-battered fish and chips had hardly any flavor, and the catfish came with two skinny strips and a handful of fries...for $16. When we ordered the spinach dip for an appetizer, the waitress plunked the sizzling cast iron skillet down right in front of our 10-month-old and said "Be careful, it's hot," before walking off. That highly priced spinach dip came with 8 chips and it took 30 minutes for another waitress to bring more chips. Once we were finished eating, we waited for our check so long that my husband ended up taking 3 of our 4 kids back to the car while I waited with our son. We waited for 20+ minutes before the waitress came and asked me if we were ready for our check. (All our food had been cleared and our drinks had been empty for that entire time.) Loved White River Fish House. The atmosphere is so cool with nice fishing/Ozark decor and a very lodge like feeling. Has a cute fireplace waiting area with couches. It's right on the lake so in a beautiful location. Ordered the catfish platter because I absolutely love fried catfish. It was super tasty. Trying to not be as bad so I had broccoli as my side as well as the cole slaw. The cole slaw was EXCELLENT. At the entrance they have little dispensers of Duck food so bring quarters!! Definitely a 10/10 experience. The complimentary cornbread was delicious too! If I had to give one critique it would be that the appetizer coconut shrimp only came with 6 shrimp. But they were a good size and it was just an appetizer, so I'm not really sure that's a problem. They're just so good you're going to want more! We took our parents here for the food and fireworks ,the food for me was just ok...they usually have home runs. My family seemed to be ok with what they ordered. We were looking for a place on the water to have some seafood. This fit that bill, but the food was a little uninspired. Small tap list with small amount of the generic beers. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. I was between 2 and 3 stars, but the food was decent enough to give it 3. The best thing we had, but I wasn't able to get a picture of before my table got into it, was the smoked duck jalapeño poppers. I could have, and probably should have, had a whole one for my dinner. The catfish was ok, same with my wife's walleye. We had a group of 6 and I don't remember anyone commenting on how good or bad the food was. It's owned by Bass Pro Shops, so if you're an enthusiast of Bass Pro, you'll probably enjoy. For me, it was too crowded for what it was. In the front off the side walk is a bride that connects to the restaurant. you have an opportunity to feed the ducks, which is always fun for the small and big kids. I ordered the Rosemary chicken with onion potato. I loved the tender chicken but did not care for the potatoes. Very soggy, oily and no flavor. Next time I'll get the mixed vegetables. My husband got the Huge burger. I don't remember the name but it has double patties and three buns. He liked it tho it needed the requested ranch dressing. I loved the White River Fish Company. It's adjacent to Bass Pro and site right on Lake Taneycomo. It's built on a dock, and has outside seating as well as a walkway around the restaurant. It reminded me of our old fish house at the Lake of the Ozarks. We were seated immediately, and served jalepeno corn bread. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered coconut shrimp. My mom ordered shrimp skewers and fries. I had a look around. There were canoes hoisted on the ceiling, and a fire place with rustic chairs. It had a library around the fire place, with pictures of fish. While we waited for our meal, we watched people fishing in a boat in the lake. The opposite view was a shoreline with ducks. The inside was decorated for Christmas. The shrimp was delicious. So was my mom's shrimp. We paid, and when leaving the dock, a white duck flew up and kicked me, knowing I would feed him.. There is a feed for a quarter gum machine that gives you a hand full of duck feed. They know you are going to feed them. I fed the ducks and they were pleased. I enjoyed the whole experience. I will definitely return when I'm in Branson, if only to feed the ducks. read more
