My wife and I rented 4344 N Lakewood Blvd for 4.5 years. We only left because we were leaving the area entirely. It is a great little spot and we loved living there. The management company were great. Available whenever we needed them - but simultaneously unobtrusive. They were also very fair with our deposit when we left (sorry we ran out of time and didn't get to cleaning the blinds or the overhead fans). Rented with them during the pandemic and I'd say avoid this business. Dave the manager would pop-up in the backyard unannounced, bringing other people with no mask on. They also pointed a security camera right at our back door that looked directly into our windows. The unit was severely overpriced and they raised the rent even though local rent had gone down. When I first moved in I was happy that I found a nice, quiet complex to begin my adulting life. Exciting time, getting my own place! However, it quickly became apparent that the least of my problem was the rent went up with each renewal. First maintenance requests...I had ask for the same sink to be unclogged twice, first time it took weeks the reason given was due to weather and the holidays...seemed reasonable at the time. Second time however, no reason or even a response from WRA was giving regarding the delay. So I didn't even bother reporting the cockroaches, they were both inside and outside the unit. However, there was an incident that made me feel worse than the cockroaches. The professional way to notify your tenant not to duplicate keys is to write that into the lease...but WRA decided the best way for their property manager to notify me was to swim out of the pool with her grandchild in a rush to call Dave when she saw my girlfriend accessing my apartment. Then denied any knowledge of the incident when I went to ask why Dave stopped by my unit without calling ahead. If having a key was the equivalent to occupancy...please communicate that to future residents before notices are served. Besides seeing my neighbors having their significant others over weekly, I was extremely frustrated because I was at a lost as to how I could prove I lived by myself! Evictions are a business cost for a property management company but can ruin a tenant's whole life. If WRA had any actual evidence of wrong doing on my part I'm sure they would have taken me to court. I'm glad I contacted Long Beach tenant advocacy groups to talk through my rights. Throughout my tenancy, WRA oscillated between overbearing to non-communicative. Hopefully, this review will help any other tenant at WRA encountering a similar experience feel less alone. read more

When the time came recently for us to move due to a career related obligation, the team at White Realty made the transition as smooth and seamless as possible. They were quick to provide responses to inquiries about our history with them, and they were helpful and amicable to our timeline. When the time came to turnover our keys, they were extremely reasonable and easy to deal with regarding assessing the property for damage during our tenancy and refunding our security deposit as well. Super Professional, I've been a Tenant for 15 years now and I never had to wait for a repair. The rent increases are what the owners of the property want and not the leasing agents and my owner has been great!! White Reality makes the owners do their due diligence and makes the renters do the same, but it's all for the best. They made a variety of mistakes concerning timing and price and were only concerned with making the first possible (not very good ) deal to get their commission.
