I had the most delicious eggs Benedict fresh spinach and very tasty hollondaise sauce I've ever had. Very friendly staff.

This is really a three and a half, and still worthwhile. Enjoyed great service. BAS (Bacon, Avocado and Spinach) Eggs Benedict was good. They have the crispiest best country potatoes! Chicken Fried Steak was okay but needed more seasoning. Nice the gravy had nice big bites of gravy. Definitely a small town cafe with charm. It was our first time at this restaurant. Wish we had known that the breakfast menu didn't go until the 2pm closing time. The food was basic quality. We will give it another chance for breakfast if we drive through again. Sounds like breakfast is the winner there. On the other side of the gift shop there is an ice cream and candy area. We picked up a few treats there. Also found out that breakfast is served all day at the walk up cafe right there. read more

We have eaten here several times both breakfast and lunch. The most frequent was on Wed. 10/14 when we stopped for lunch. I am giving only four stars because of the total cost of the lunch. The food is good but all we had was a patty melt, a burger and one small cup of soup and a couple soft drinks. With a 15% gratuity the bill came to $30.00. A little pricey for lunch. read more

The place is worth the visit for the experience. The cafe sits within a huge mercantile building. We went right after church so it was full. The owner was serving and kicking butt for the ratio of 1:25. The food was definitely tasty Americana without anything especially notable. The town is a cool experience. Since it was a company town, lumber was no concern. There are extraordinarily large buildings- some in use and some not- to give one an idea of life in the "heyday". read more

I had breakfast at this cute cafe two days in a row. My first order was a waffle topped with strawberries, and a fruit bowl. The waffle was perfect, and was served with maple and boysenberry syrup. I had a few bites of my girlfriend's biscuit and gravy which was surprisingly light and quite tasty. My second order was a short stack of buttermilk pancakes with sausage, which were heavenly. Portions are generous, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is bright and comfortable. Very clean cafe to boot. read more

Love this restaurant!!! Immediately walking in I felt at home. The decor is so cute, tons of funny signs all over the restaurant. You can also see Mt. Shasta from some of the windows, so pretty! I'm allergic to gluten and they worked with me to find the breakfast I wanted. I wound up having an omelette with hash browns and gluten free toast. However the biscuits and pancakes looked to die for. They offer gluten free toast AND hamburger buns. Yum!! They even have mimosas!!!! All different flavors too. I tried the cranberry and my boyfriend tried pomegranate. So delicious. The chef was interactive with customers and all the staff was super friendly. Not only were they friendly but they joked and made us laugh the whole time. It felt just like my family! The regulars and locals sit at the counter and our server said there is never a dull moment. We loved everything about this place, we will be back for sure. We definitely found our new favorite spot! read more

this used to be my very favorite restaurant for breakfast and lunch. i was bragging them up with high standards to my in laws because the food was always amazing. long story short i left very imbearest. the worst breakfast we ever had. all five of our breakfast looked like a child was trying to cook for the first time. needless to say none of us starving folks ate our food and half our order was wrong the waitress didnt know what she was doing. forgot everything also. we were being kind and told them what was wrong. they did offer to recook our food. we already waited over an hour for our food so we said no and asked them to take off some on the check because we didnt get half of what we ordered. the cook came out to talk to us and was so rude. he refused to give us any money off even though we didnt even get the right orders. we are locals and unfortunately untill they replace the morning cook we wont be back and will not recommend them. the cook said he was the head chef. thats pretty sad!!!!!!! read more

My girlfriend and I stopped here because we were starving after a long morning of sight seeing. Although the place was nearly empty, the waitress took forever to start treating us like we were customers. We each ordered burgers and what eventually showed up was a couple of the worst burgers that I can remember paying for in my whole fucking life. The patties were flavorless, obviously the cheapest frozen pieces of shit that the owners could buy. It's a shame that such a cute place has to be run by such fucking jerk-offs. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. I seriously would have rather gone hungry than eat garbage like this. It is not the kind of thing that you want in your stomach, especially when you're on a long road trip. read more

Have been enjoying this locally owned and operated breakfast and lunch cafe for 6 years. We love it. The menu is varied, the portions magnanimous, and soooo good. We rarely eat anywhere else when visiting McCloud/Mt Shasta area. The staff have become our friends which I've noticed is true of many other out of town regulars. read more

The only thing wrong with this place is its not in Mount Shasta, with that being said my wife and I will make the drive without a whimper. The food is always fresh and served piping hot. Stopped in McCloud for lunch after a week-end at USFS Cattle Camp. Must say the BLT was over the top good and big enough for two! Cole slaw was chopped, crunchy and perfectly dressed. My husband had the BLT with yummy hand cut fries. Do yourself a favor at stop by when in the area. Can't wait for next visit to try something else, but then again the BLT is a winner. read more

This is a great cafe, the food has always been amazing. They have catered my bf's company Christmas Party and their Chicken Marsala has been the best I've had! One of the only places to eat on Hwy 89 between Nevada and California. They don't have to be good since they have a captive audience. However, I've never been disappointed when I've stopped. Giant sandwiches! Homemade soup. I always get the broccoli salad. It's a nice step back in time. Not a trendy chi chi spot. read more
