Great food and drinks. We found place while visiting McCloud Falls. I got a refreshing strawberry lemonade and my wife and I shared a garlic cheddar biscuit, which was so good. It was so good that we came back a second time the next day when we were back in the area. The first time I got the strawberry lemonade with ice and the second time I got it blended. I think I prefer it on the rocks. We had our drinks and our heated biscuit pretty quickly. The dining area is very accommodative, and they have nice to enjoy your drinks and food. This place is about two blocks off the main highway but worth it. I believe but not sure. It's the same owner that also has a hiking shop connected to it. read more

We have been working in the area for 4 months now. I just really start stopping by here in July. Wow what a great find. I have had so many different things from cookies to turn overs. The "bowls" wild mushrooms, bourbon chicken, Korean chicken , southwest chicken all absolutely amazing! Hand pies omg! Must try! My husband and I shared them all. Yummy! My husband is kinda of picky and he really liked them. Especially the bourbon chicken one. The prices are very fair! The coffee and assorted drinks are pretty good too! What a cute little coffee shop, connected to an activity rental/clothing store, so you can sip & shop! The staff were super friendly & very kind. Stopped in with my wife and granddaughter and had an iced coffee and mocha ( lemonade for the granddaughter)........had to try a scone and chocolate bar( granddaughter's smile said it all!) We sat inside than jumped out on their front patio---and stated at Mt Shasta while we enjoyed our goodies! Excellent service and clean area, plenty of parking. McCloud is a very cool small town. People here were extremely nice and welcoming. The staff at the shop were accommodating and hospitable. It felt like a family here. I ordered a white mocha and a breakfast burrito, and both were delicious. The shop is connected to a small outdoor shop with a nice selection of outdoor gear, including fly fishing and apparel. Definitely a cool spot to hit if you're in town. read more

Such a sweet little gem! The ladies who work here are so kind and welcoming (and patient with kiddos who can NOT decide between the myriad delicious options in the display case). I've never shopped next door at the attached outdoor supply and gear spot but the people there seem friendly as well. Sojourn has a few tables in the cafe but if the weather's nice they have a lovely front patio area with multiple tables and chairs surrounded by grape vines and a pear tree next door. It's just chill, cozy, and friendly and well worth the visit. I'm slightly nervous about the fact that both businesses are up for sale but hopefully if they do get purchased, the new owner will keep the staff and vibe as it currently is. Oh, and they feature crafts and artwork by local artists that you can purchase to support the community, or simply enjoy looking at while you wait for your drink. It's a very warm and welcoming place; the treats and caffeine are really just a bonus! read more

Haven't been here since they changed the place! New name but seems to be almost the same place, but better. They have boba now and lots of flavors. I love lavender and am happy to see a place like this serves lavender latte's. The pastry and coffee was super good and would definitely come back. This is a very small and cute cafe. Perfect to come alone or with a few, but seat is limited during the winter since it is pretty small inside. They do have a patio with seating outside if you don't mind. Can't wait to try more next time! Parking is right up front and it is never usually crowded in here (at least when I come). read more

MUST VISIT SPOT IF IN MCCLOUD!! I was in need of matcha, and this location carried it plus was on the way to the hiking trail. Perfect place to fuel a morning hike. At around 11:30AM there were about 7 other people who arrived after us. Food review: I am literally blown away by the excellent quality of each item I ordered. Food is displayed at the front through a glass. Upon my inquiry of which roll to get, the staff member claimed they had the best caramel pecan rolls, and she was definitely correct!! The freshness and softness of the roll complimented the butteriness of the caramel and textures of the pecans. I enjoyed every bite :D I also ordered the veggie frittata and puffs. All were flavorful and nourishing.It is clear each food item is made with intention. Drink review: Matcha flavor was perfect. Honey was delicious and pure quality, and not overpowering. Sweetness was probably a 65% level, which I prefer. Parking: Limited. One spot in the front and the rest is street parking in a neighborhood. Bathroom: Located in the shop next door. One bathroom for all genders with one toilet. Food options: Coffee, pastries, frittatas. Vegetarian options available! Seating: Indoor and outdoor options! Perfect place for going solo or with a small group! Pet friendly: Yes, outdoors :D We ate outside with our dog under the canopy. There is a water bowl for dogs, and they were generous in replacing it with fresh water. Staff: There were two people working the front. They greeted me with a smile upon entering. They kindly brought the food out when it was ready. I appreciate how they gave me recommendations for hiking spots when I asked. Recommendation: Highly recommend!! Stopped to get gas on our way up to Oregon and decided coffee was probably a good idea. Popped into Sojourn and were welcomed by a delightful smell. I eagerly made my way to the display counter which was filled with so many delicious options. We were greeted with a smile and patience while we made our decisions. We landed on iced americanos - simple yet done correctly, a cinnamon roll - yummm, frittata - loved the chipotle but not too spicy, and a goat cheese puff and a jalapeño puff. Let me tell you, that jalapeño puff had my taste buds dancing. There was a handful of tables inside and an outdoor area where the sun hit just right. read more

Truly the best coffee around McCloud! My husband and I stopped in after hearing great things about this cafe and we were not disappointed! The owner is really the sweetest and the coffee was perfect. I opted for a sweeter drink and went with an iced crème brûlée latte - it was well balanced and the espresso had a good depth of flavor. The pastries were so tempting - we went the breakfast burrito route and it was a great size for a quick bite. Definitely get the salsa on the side. There were plenty of welcoming seats outside and inside. We browsed around the adjoining outdoor store (great selection of Kavu items) and decided to enjoy our treats outside. Ok...here we go. Obviously giving 5 stars is sus and usually attributed to 1 great visit or just an emotional response- granted. But here, tucked away in McCloud there is an authentic example of how to run a business and run it well. The food will continue to draw positive comments because....it's well thought out, it's unique and the good ingredients and flavor will bring you back again. You will want to come back. Let's dive in. The parking is easy and ample. If you're staying Airbnb or at the hotels in town- walk. Super close. But parking is ample. The building is really nice. Outside seating and inside seating. Plenty of room to wait, order and relax. There is a gift shop inside the coffee shop portion of the store. Prices are very reasonable for the food, drinks and gifts items. Restroom- yep! The owners and employee's: Wow. Great team. Well thought out and well trained. The owners have thought through the layout, food and experience that the customers are going to have. They treat the business as a vehicle to serve the patrons - which is refreshing. God made you unique, special and you are made with his love. When you come here- you will feel that. The people that served us had that kind of heart. My kids felt welcomed, loved and cared for - And these people had to see us a few times a day- our group was pretty big. Thank you to the owners and Melissa, you treated my family and friends so well. Our food and drinks were consistent and good. The food is kind of wild- in that there are so many choices and surprises here. From gluten free to savory and the camp favorites. The owner has a special touch and that will become fairly obvious when you see the selection. We drove a couple of cars about 850 miles to McCloud for a vacation- this shop became a destination fav to all of us. It's literally just off the 89 as you come into town. Attached to the coffee store is an outdoors shop. We bought fishing licenses here and tackle...also clothing and camping gear. Yep. We found no down side here... The place is clean. Child friendly, outside area for pets. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy your food. Drink coffee and eat/ shop here....period. Peace! I have had a lot of emails asking about places up here- so bam! What a treat to stop for a (decaf) iced Americano after several days of camping. The bakery items are amazing--don't miss the chocolate chip cookie, double thick! And kudos to the friendly staff. They kindly retrieved the purse I absent-mindedly left hanging on a chair (I was in an altered state after camping!) and it's on its way home to me now. These folks are so lovely. The coffee house and the adjoining Great Outdoors shop are filled with excellent gifts and outdoorsy equipment. I can't wait to come back again. read more

I worked with Jules at Sojourn Coffee to plan for a day-after wedding brunch for around 45 to 50 people. The quiches and variety of sweet and savory pastries were absolutely delicious! We could not have done better! Jules was helpful in loaning us a couple of serving pieces and also delivering a couple of quiches. We were about five minutes away so it worked out perfectly. I think she said it was her largest order ever. I'd highly recommend Sojourn Coffee! Our guests loved the food! read more

We came to the Sojourn Cafe a few days ago before a long day hiking and had a fantastic breakfast. My boyfriend is pretty particular about his coffee drinks, but they nailed it and he had two. The owner made me a blackberry frozen lemonade that I haven't stopped thinking about. I loved it so much that we came back by at the end of the day so I could get another one, but they were closed for the day. The frittata and biscuits and gravy were delicious too. Soooooo good!!!! We finished hiking Shasta and stopped in for some baked treats a cold brew! Their cold brew is excellent!! We tried their chocolate chip cookie and their pecan caramel cinnamon roll (they make in house). Everything was incredible!! And the nicest customer service to top it all off!!! Came here with my fellow crew members for a film shoot for the day. The coffee shop was very cozy and warm inside. The two lovely ladies working behind the counter were incredibly friendly and welcoming to us. We were starving and had several plates of the biscuit and gravy, several slices of apple pie, a few cookies, and a few other delicious treats I'm forgetting but the take away is that everything was delicious and filling which was perfect since it was so cold outside.
