I tried a raspberry turnover, cinnamon roll, raspberry rose scone, and Stromboli biscuit. Each item was SO GOOD! Biscuits and scones can sometimes be hit-or-miss with being overly dry and crumbly, but Bee Kind's were moist and fluffy. As someone who loves supporting local businesses, I was excited to find one of the few local cafés in this area during my road trip, so I had to stop by. I got there around 9am, so it was only mildly busy, but WOW the pastries immediately caught my attention. I originally just planned to sit for a bit and read my book, but after seeing the pastries, there was no way I was leaving without trying something. I ended up getting the Nutella turnover and a latte. The latte was good, but the Nutella turnover was honestly a 5/5, so delicious. They also have plenty of indoor seating along with a really pretty patio in the back with lots of tables, making it a great spot to enjoy some sun and fresh air. read more

What a lovely little bakery cafe in Dunsmuir! We stumbled upon it during our stay in town and it was just a delightful pit stop! We seriously enjoyed the bacon biscuit breakfast sandwich with havarti, so YUM! Also ordered some iced coffee that hit the spot and a bag full of pasties to go.. the raspberry turnover was amazing and the we really enjoyed the pear scone & mini chocolate croissant. There is a lovely lil gift shop in the bakery with fun treasures and lots of interesting art adorns the bakeries walls. This place is such a hidden gem and such a treat! They make some of the best pastries I have ever had, including the toffee scone and mini chocolate croissants. My partner and I also tried a few breakfast items over the days that we were there. We tried the Greek Frittata, the tomato biscuit breakfast sandwich, the yogurt and berry parfait, and the Caprese Panini. All of them were amazing and perfectly cooked and flavorful. Bee Kind makes waking up early in the morning a gift rather than a struggle. Baked good are pure perfection and the coffee is solidly good. Folks working here are really positive and great. What a fabulous place. We were staying in Dunsmuir and found Bee kind by walking the town. We delayed our plans so we could have breakfast there, and we were so happy we did. They are a super friendly bunch and because it was a Wednesday, we were the only non locals that morning. I'm not sure if they're made daily, but the one I got was very stale and dry. It was also overpriced at $6.50. I'm a big ham and cheese croissant eater, but I couldn't stomach this one. This is the best cinnamon roll I've ever had and my daughter loved her spooky chocolate brownie and we got the Mexican hot chocolate it was good but I wouldn't label it a Mexican hot chocolate it's milk and chocolate with a heavy amount of cinnamon it wasn't bad but I would pass on this next time ..the Violinist playing in there really topped it off for me .other than handed me one of my drinks all messy I would recommend this place.. 24 dollars for two drinks and pastry's if that sounds to expensive to you this may not be the place for you. read more

Kid review: The food was absolutely delicious. It was cinnamon roll Sunday and my mom ordered two cinnamon rolls and I took one outside and ate it before she even finished paying... it was so good. I was supposed to split it with my mom and when she came out she said " What happened to the cinnamon roll we were supposed to split it!" And I told her to take a bite of the other roll and she understood why I ate it in under 30 seconds. The outside environment is so cute. We found this gold nugget after a recommendation from Jamie at Bistro 107 in Mt. Shasta City. The ambiance is full of character with a book / shop nook, comfy tables, and a backyard space filled with plants and a platform waiting for a musical performance. Reminds me of a location in Jerome,AZ. The food was exceptional. I had a frittata, others in our group had sweet or savory pastries. All were delicious. The coffee options were diverse and put other coffee focused businesses to shame. Definitely worth the exit off the 5 fwy if you are around during open hours. The frittata was perfectly set and every bite had a mixture of egg and the other yummy ingredients. The breakfast sandwiches had the perfect balance of egg to meat to cheese to biscuit ratio; and the biscuits were firm yet not dry. All of the sweet treats we had (cherry cobbler, cherry cheesecake tart, chocolate turnover, orange creme popover) were sweet, tart, and tasty. The coffee is local and brewed expertly.
