If there was a 10, we would rate it a ten. Nicolas is a wonderful host and owner! Interior is full of wine selections. We tried his Mystic wine - easy to drink and pairs well with charcuterie board. If we had more time at Mt. Shasta, this would be a regular stop every night. Thank you Nicolas for an amazing experience to the end of our vacation. read more

Wonderful wine! Beautiful way to spend the afternoon!! The wine is lovely. As a woman traveling alone, I felt to welcome and comfortable!

A charming wine bar with incredible Spanish tapas, great wine, and an owner whose stories make you feel right at home!

The Clandestino is my favorite establishment to visit in Mt. Shasta. It has a warm atmosphere decorated with colorful paintings, a matador jacket, a flamenco costume. The charismatic host/owner presents the finest of Spanish wines and appetizers. OLE THE CLANDESTINO and NICOLAS PENA! read more

Fabulous place to enjoy some international flare, tapas and wine . A must for good conversation and chill times! Don't miss it!

Imagine going to Spain for a couple of hours without having to get on an airplane. I the first time I went to The Clandestino...my friends, and I stepped outside afterward, and just said " holy Cow!"...That was the most amazing experience! We didn't have to go out of town and we got to go to Spain. The wines were superb... The cheeses and sausages and delicious bread from the regions in Spain were extraordinary... To be able to have this experience while having a great conversations with friends and those who are also there to explore... Was quite an amazing experience!! I have been several times... And I have told all of my friends and clients to go to the Clandestino... Meet Nicolas, the owner and his wife and their staff... I have been there on a Friday night when they had live flamenco guitar with some vocals... I have made new friends and brought old friends to this wonderful place . I asked Nicolas why Mount Shasta? And he said because where he produces his wines in northern Spain... Has a similar look, and feel to Mount Shasta... He wants The Clandestino to be a place for people come gather and talk and enjoy just like they do in Spain. (and yes, this is definitely what I remember from my travels!) My recommendation... Absolutely go enjoy bring your friends and make new friends... There's always something new and different with all the varieties he has... Go to Spain without having to get on an airplane!! read more

just happen to walk by this morning while traveling though and saw this new store and walked in out of curiosity I was greeted by the Shoppe Keeper who represented the look of a proud papa who birthed his vision to have his Birthplace And Heritage represented by the wines and other culinary delights from different regions of Spain. Being a wine maker with deep family connections presented an amazing knowledge of the merits of each bottle. walking inside quickly becomes a memorable experience read more
