Love the fun alcohol bottle choices! The employees were super friendly and extremely helpful. Bought a bunch of alcohol and they helped us load the car. read more

Great spot to stop to purchase liquor before you head into Oregon. I didn't stop this last trip but I have in the past.

The people who work here made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Prices are whatever. Could use better organization, but there were some cool choices. Purchased a few bottles and was still unable to use restrooms despite there being a kid with us due to "cleaning" 15 minutes before close. I've never cared for the vibe of this place and it continues to put a bad taste in my mouth.. save your money and go to BevMo or Costco. read more

Such a cool (literally) spot to walk into on a hot summer day! The selection is always top notch! I've never had an issue with the employees or lack of options. I'd rather go here any day due to them never having long lines to wait in, like some of our local grocery stores. BUT MOSTLY, this place donates back to the community and does so without request for recognition. Support the businesses that support our kiddos! read more

Traveling to Cali.. always see this place... wondered what sort of liquor selections were here... all kinds of great stuff and friendly/ helpful staff! read more

Liquor Expo - Blanton's whiskey .. great price!! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Grenada, California

This place always has great specials and has everything! If your looking for something different or just the unusual they never disappoint. I've discovered some new brands here to try and also they have a great selection of the tiny bottles if you want to try something before committing to a whole bottle, they most likely have a mini for it. Always have great customer service if your looking for something specific they will go get it for you. They always have friendly cashiers as well. read more

Lots of room to park when I come through in the truck. Helpful and friendly employees.

Stopped here on a Friday about 1:00 p.m. on our way to Oregon. We often stop for booze on our way North taking orders for friends and family in Oregon. The prices just South of the border are much cheaper than Oregon. Sometimes it makes us feel like smokey and the bandit. This place is clean and well organized and 1 of 2 that we normally stop at.They did not have a few items on our order list so we have to stop at another place. It is easy on and off from I-5 in both directions and they have gas as well. read more

THIS PLACE RIPS YOU OFF !!! If I could give it ZERO stars, I would! Our family and friends (which amounts to A LOT of locals) are boycotting this place. Reason? One night in June 2013, at 12:20am, we pulled into this place. All we had was cash and we needed gas. Liquor Expo was closed. BUT they had 2 pumps which accept cash bills! So I put a $20 in the machine and... It didn't give us any gas! We tried everything, nothing worked. Then, to make matters worse, the machine gave us NO receipt! We looked around trying to find the cameras, to make ourselves obviously known and seen as distressed. Then we got in our car and left to another gas station, where I was forced to call my Dad on my cell phone and ask his permission to use his debit card for gas, which was NOT good. Still, I figured I could go back to Liquor Expo later and tell them what happened. Maybe get credit at the gas pump, or a refund. I figured they would honor a customer. So... I went back during business hours, and asked to speak to the manager. Described my car, license plate, and the time and date of the incident. Told him to check the cameras if he wanted proof of everything I was saying. See for himself that the machine never kicked on to give gas, and did not print out any receipts. Well he just made a bunch of excuses, and refused to go check the camera, give me credit or a refund. He wrote down my name, address and phone number, and said he would pass the message on to the owners... But nobody ever called us! This place ripped us off, straight up!! They took our money and kept it. And refused to do anything to remedy the situation. So now... We refuse to buy anything from them, and so do all our family and friends. What they did was WRONG. They had proof on camera, and they did nothing about it! We have also started a new tradition--every time any of our family or friends drive by this place, we roll down the window and yell "RIP OFF!!" Of course, you can show your distaste in whatever way you like-- magnets on your car, bumper stickers, a statement of disapproval as you pass by... Whatever suits you. It has now become a regular tradition, and we hope that if enough people protest, maybe they will notice, and start HONORING their customers. Who knows how many people they have done this to with those machines?? But until they do start honoring business integrity... None of us are EVER coming back! read more

Liquor Expo - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Grenada, California

Living in Portland OR but having driven down and visited family in Los Angeles for a week, I got very acquainted with liquor prices across a wide variety of stores. We've made it a tradition here in the land-of-the-most-expensive-booze-this-side-of-Washington that any time we go down to CA, we haul back a pretty decent selection of liquor. I like to price and shop stuff. So much in fact that before I bought anything down there, I visited several stores (BevMo, Rite-Aid, Safeway, Trader Joes, some independents) to see who had the best price on what. Then, I made my purchases: this bottle from Rite-Aid, that one from BevMo, a third from TJ's etc. On the way home, already with a decent selection in the trunk, we saw the road signs for Liquor Expo and decided to stop in just shy of the Oregon border. Glad we did. This place has an immense selection--almost as good a BevMo (certainly on anything I was looking for) and their prices overall were stellar. On several items (Glenlivet Single Malt 12 year scotch: $23, Pendleton Canadian Whiskey: $20) their prices were substantially better than I was able to find anywhere. Other items were priced at average-for-CA, which is to say much better than anywhere in OR anyway. And some items were a bit more pricey. Just as with anywhere else, you need to know what you're looking for and what it should be selling for. Wise buyers get great deals. All in all, though, for a middle-of-nowhere reasonably large-sized store, their selection was great and their prices were awesome. This is definitely being added to our road-trip stops! Additionally, as a side note, they DO have a bathroom, but it's kept locked and for customers only. They were happy to let each Wife N and I use it while we were shopping there, but please don't get the mis-impression this is a public bathroom. There are plenty of other bathroom stops on I5. This is a Liquor store. read more

Stopped here for gas and a bathroom break. You could smell a strong pungent dried urine scent before you round the corner in the hallway that leads to the restrooms. Absolutely disgusting. But their liquor selection is top notch. read more

Giggity! This is like the middle-of-nowhere's version of a Total Wine or BevMo, which is probably why its also a gas station! We didn't actually need to refuel, but as someone who punishes my liver regularly, I felt it was my duty to check the place out... Now, don't let the red Texaco Star stamped on the big silver barn that is Liquor Expo fool you... They have an awesome selection of just about any booze your lookin for and tons of craft/micro brews (single or by the six pack) on hand as well! They were waayyy over staffed, and folks were regularly walking up and down the isles asking me if I needed help finding anything. I dunno, maybe they just dont like the Irish running around their store alone, maybe they thought I was gonna try to snatch some bottles, or who knows... Maybe they just genuinely want to make sure you find what your looking for! ;) Having 2 BevMo's and a Total wine within 15 miles of my house, this place didnt totally blow my mind, but they did have a great selection, and we even got a couple of beer's that were "Exclusive to Liquor Expo" or so they claimed. Either way it was a nice find while out on a road trip! They also have plenty of parking, a gas station that will easily fit your RV or 16 wheeler, and of course fully functional squeegees! 10-4 over n out yo! read more

So after 3 years of refusing to give liqueur expo our business we learned they had closed (not surprised) and reopened under new owners. So we decided we'd give them another shot, especially since needed gas, and this time were very happy!! The new owners are doing a much better job! Great customer service from friendly employees. When the lady asked if she could help me find anything, I joked and said my husband. She then went and helped me find him!!! Haha! Then helped me find 2 different bottles of alcohol. Very helpful and friendly! And the bathroom situation is 1000x better. I asked where the restrooms were since my daughter needed t use them and she very kindly pointed down the hall. Best part, the bathrooms are no longer locked so no more "employee only restrooms" as before under previous owners. Still no changing table to change the babies diaper but not surprised since it is a liquor store. We will definitely be stopping again on our trips up North (and maybe even on the way home again). Good job new owners! read more

YES... They are reopened, new owners!!! Hrs 8am to 8pm. Still great service, and great prices & selections. They are restocking daily so be sure and check it out. Great buys on larger bottles, especially if you live in OR & WA. read more

On a road trip, and stopped by just for the usual snacks. ALL of the employees greeted me with a smile and were EXTREMELY nice and welcoming, and all of the customers in the store walked out happy. I live in Portland and go to school in LA, so I have driven by the Liquor Expo several times coincidentally. I also just turned 21, so since my freshman year I have been wondering what lies inside of the huge red warehouse. I guess I am giving 3 stars because I was expecting the Disneyland of alcohol inside, and was disappointed that the expo was actually half the size of the building. Regardless, there are some great deals. I got a half gal of Bacardi for 18 bucks. Always a good deal of you are passing through. read more

I like this place a lot and am really glad it is just 20 miles down I5 from my house. Up until Liqour Expo I usually stuck to Rite-Aid for my liqour purchases when in town or stocked up when down in Redding or the Bay Area. LE has an excellent selection of rums, vodkas, whiskeys, beer and liqueurs. The wine selection is decent and you will find something to fit the bill though not the vintage and particular producer you want. They cover most of the basic wine regions around CA and France and have a few older bottles if you want to splurge. This place really has a nice microbrew beer selection of 22 oz bottles from CA and OR. Of course, you can get Keystone if that is your cup of pis* but I have no idea on prices for that. The micro-brews were competitively priced with Bevmo. For those driving back to Oregon or Washington and you need to stock up then STOP HERE! Or, if you are taking some back way over through Alturas to Nevada then get your suds and other poisons here. And, the people are genuinely nice in here. I give it only 4 stars because compared to the huge liquor stores like Liqour Expo or Bevmo, LE is a bit limited. Overall though this is a gem of a store for the middle of nowhere and Grenada, CA is in the middle. read more

Certainly good prices for those folks heading back to OR/WA - Been by this place a million times, finally stopped - not that their selection is bad, but I just thought there would be much more volume. worth the stop if you need to load up. read more

Great place with great prices and great selection. Friendly staff that happily let us use their restroom. Whenever we drive down I5 from Oregon, this will be a regular stop :) read more

I went here over the summer of 2012; I was greeted by friendly staff, they were knowledgeable about liquor/liqueur and were able to answer my questions. This store has got a large stock of many kinds of liquor, a bunch that I've not seen anywhere else. Great prices, great people, good selection, I'll definitely be coming back when I'm around town (since I live in Seattle) read more

Good specials, and tremendously helpful and friendly staff. Hmmm, good prices, friendly and knowledgeable... What more do you want - location? :) Tip - if you have a few extra minutes, take the old road to Ashland - an awesome look back into history. read more

On our way back from Portland, we stopped by to get gas and decided to check out Liquor Expo to stretch our legs. They have really good prices compared to where I am from in LA so this is a great place to get your liquors! They have maaaany choices, some of which I have never seen before. Make sure to stop by this place if you can, its definitely worth it. Special shout out to Eli! You are freaking awesome :) read more

Kay is awesome and very helpful. Not to mention super hot. Knew her liquor which is a definite plus 10 to her already amazing profile. Any lady that knows her whiskey is a definite winner in my book. May just drive 4 hours from home just to buy more whiskey. Unless that's too creepy. Yee read more

Do not stop here for Texaco gas and expect to use the restroom at Liquor Expo! Only for Liquor Expo customers! Horrible.

I never purposely stop here but somehow end up stopping here on every trip from CA-WA. It's easy to find, right off the freeway, plenty of parking and great specials. The ladies working are always super friendly and seem like they genuinely want to help you as well as know you. Who knew a liquor store out in the middle of nowhere could exceed my expectations?!! AND there's a geocache very close by. Word. read more

Liquor Expo is a fun place to stop and browse if you want to break up a long drive on I-5. The staff is very friendly and the prices appear to be in-line or slightly better than other warehouse shops in California. I'd say it's worth stopping if you/re returning home to OR / WA and want to stock up on your favorite libations. read more

A little detour on our trip home and a funfilled 25 minutes walking up and down the aisles for liquor. Buyer beware, some bottles are cheaper, the same, or a little bit more expensive than what you would normally find on sale at your local stores at home. There were some great deals though and cool beers if you're into that. The bf got a few 6 packs of his Stone IPA's. Lots of other varieties too. read more

Three stars for easy to find location, clean store and decent selection. Otherwise price is average and staff wasn't very friendly.

Total rip off. Glenmorangie 12 yo for $67 and only $45 at the other liquor store in town. Check prices online before you buy!

I live in Washington but am a native Californian who goes home on a pretty regular basis. We stopped by here on our last trip down and we were so happy we did! Unbelievable selection, really nice staff, and the prices? Well, I live in Washington; need I say more?? :). If you live in Oregon or WA and are coming back home from CA on I-5 and need liquor AND want great prices, STOP HERE!! read more

Great selection, great prices, and an extremely helpful staff! They didn't have exactly what we were looking for, but were able to find us a great alternative. read more

Big selection, conveniently just off of I-5, great prices compared to what I'm used to in Washington. I would shop here again.

Nothing really special here. Their prices are basically the same as a Safeway or other supermarket and their selections isn't that much better. I will say their "managers specials" are worth taking a look at but this is a tourist trap for the most part. Skip it unless you need a potty break while you're driving! read more

Tons of amazing beers and liquors! Always fun to roam around huge stores like this. Def a place to stop!!

Would love to have been able to explore inside as the yellow pages stated it was open 24 hrs, but it closes at 8:00 pm. We stopped on our way home to Wa from Ca and were unable to shop as we arrived at 9:25 pm. Bummer! Can't really rate it, but the disappointment made me feel like a 1 star. read more

The staff is very unfriendly. Due to their poor customer service skills I will never stop there again. We also had to use the bathroom as we are traveling with small kids. The bathrooms are locked and apparently it is a big hassle for one of the four staff members standing around to get up and unlock it. Meanwhile my son is about to wet his pants. We were going to buy drinks and snacks but ended up only paying for some crackers because I felt like I had to pay for using the bathroom. read more

The major savings is on the 1.75L bottles (no real discount on cases). Some of our favorite brands were almost half off compared to buying in Oregon. A must stop for future visits to Southern Oregon.... read more

The owners of this store succeeded in getting a few bottles of very special whiskey for me, and I'm super grateful. No other store within two hundred miles could have pulled that off, or would have even gone to the trouble to try. I will say a little thank you to Tim and Caroline each time I pour a glass. Can't say enough kind words about the level of service these folks provide. If you live in the area or are passing through, stop in and pay them a visit!! read more
