Ordered a seasonal, peppermint sage mocha
    Emily N.

Walking thru town and came across theory. Right when you walk in, you're treated with this fresh ambiance. The lightening and set up in the shop was very open and welcoming. I had ordered the peppermint sage mocha, and a cappuccino (not pictured). It was delicious. The right amount of peppermint to mocha, and for the cappuccino, the creamy foam top was delicious.

Iced americano not a cold brew

Out of cold brew whattt Americano was mid and ham and Gruyère was millennial slop would not return

Stopping by for some coffee. Street parking was easy. I like the spacious and minimalist decorations. We ordered a matcha latte and lavender latte. When I ordered, I asked the cashier if the matcha is strong as I am going request an extra scoop of matcha if needed. The cashier said it was strong, so I just ordered as it is. The lavender latte was delicious, and the scent of lavender is strong, which I like a lot. The matcha latte is sad. The drink was very watery. I went back to ask if they can give me an extra scoop of matcha powder in my drink, and they were very kind to re-make my drink. It came out better than what it was, but still a bit weak. I will just order lavender latte next time.

Great cafe to take a break when exploring within the vicinity. Outdoor seats available and dog friendly. When purchasing a bag of coffee beans, coffee is complimentary. Flavorful drinks are offered here and was not a disappointment. Bear claw is light and flakey. Service is exceptional and welcoming. Plenty of street parking available!

The place is beautiful. Trendy modern and large space too. They had multiple staff members working and even though there was a line it was smooth. Now to the pastries, they look great but they are so oily that it was dripping on and all over us. I'm not sure how they are making their croissants or cruffins but it was soggy on the inside and we had spoonfuls of oil drip out ! We understand a lot of butter is used in making these but this was another level. Watching oil drip out and then the leftover liquid (pictures). I would recommend their coffee but stay away from their bakery.

Love Theory Coffee shop here in Mount Shasta! Such a beautiful space, and great coffee every time I come. The shop itself is spacious, with a mixture of sleek white accents and wooden pieces throughout the space and live plants. I've hung out here for hours and also popped in for a quick latte and each time has been lovely. So far my favorite latte is the Island Boi, an iced americano with coconut cream and coconut condensed milk topping, so refreshing and hits the spot every time! The strawberry matcha is also really good. During the week they close early at 2pm and on the weekends their hours are extended to 5pm. Definitely stop in if you find yourself in beautiful Shasta!

Really cute place wish we had time to hang out here. Love the interior, plenty of seating. Got a muffin and a latte, nothing fancy pretty good. Service good and easy to park on the street

So we come to mount shasta every year really and so it is really refreshing to see spots that are trying to bring more people to visit as the town is small and knitted together. I really think that this place will keep the people coming. The pastries in my opinion really outshined the coffee but my partner and his sister said that the coffee complimented the pastries. I loved the ham croissant and the bear claw. My coffee did taste very milky and the coffee taste just was not present. The vibe was really cute and very trendy so I am hoping it gets more people interested in the city :)

    Baked goods !

I walked into this place very tired and in need of coffee. I was greeted by the aroma of baked goods and a wide selection to choose from. The bakery items were beautifully displayed, and the smell was incredible. I was very happy with my Gouda pastry and matcha, which wasn't too sweet. What a lovely place; they even have a fireplace to warm up before hitting the mountain. The coffee lady had a cool style about her tats, and smiling while making coffee!

Two different blends of coffee beans

We were on our way back from Burney Falls.. decided to make a stop at Mount Shasta downtown. We wandered by this neighborhood roasters, and enjoyed a little treat. Saw some new flavor blends and bought two bags of coffee beans for home. We got their special drinks- Pumpkin Spice Latte and Sunday Morning Latte. The ambiance was relaxing, friendly and spacious. The baristas were friendly.

If you like Blue Bottle, you'll like Theory. It's that classic "third wave" style which tastes too sour for my palate. However the atmosphere is lovely and the baked goods were top notch. I would just order something other than drip next time.

I've had better for cheaper. The chai tasted watered down and there was no flavor in it.

The Lamplighter blend is a staple, and their seasonal Winter's Solstice feels like a ritual I look forward to every year. Rich, full-bodied, and deeply satisfying. This is the kind of coffee that doesn't just wake you up, it gives you a reason to get up. Some coffees are just part of a routine. This one feels like a quiet moment you return to, day after day.

My favorite so far is the Spoonbender coffee, but they're all delicious! Another friend of mine and I decided to take a week long road trip headed north. We decided to spend the night in Mount Shasta, and that's when I realized this is where my favorite coffee comes from! The next morning we decided to visit their small shop on Berry Street, and what great people they were! Both Keith and Jen were the nicest people and very knowledgeable!! The gal running the roasting machine was also very sweet and so was the gentleman who came out to greet me! Having this experience of actually visiting there and meeting the wonderful people who roast the beans and package up my favorite coffee was so worth it!! Stop in if you can!! Just an FYI.....this is not a coffee shop. This is where they roast the beans. Thank you Northbound Coffee! You have a fan for life!!!
